You need to think about the total plant count. My favorite auto doesn't get very big.

I would rather see just a limit on greenhouse size. I also think the same about 'limits' on indoor. Just limit room size and no annual limits.
Makes sense. Canopy size or Cubic Feet grow space, vs. plant count rules (if we have to have rules). IMO, It should be like any other plant or commodity. Anyone should be able to have what ever they want, in their garden or farm fields (greenhouse, grow room, whatever).
And @Nannymouse , just curious, what is your favorite Auto?

For flavor, i like the chocolate trip auto that i made. It spits out a bunch of albinos, though, so not going to share that out, probably ever. Sure not a favorite for big yield, but it's fast.

I agree with so many people, that there shouldn't be limits. As far as i know, there's no limits on how many poppies or tobacco that can be home grown. There are legal limits on brewing and wine, i dunno if that is federal or state. and maybe the states are all different. It's been a while since i looked this stuff up. There sure are rules about selling or transporting tobacco, though. And processing poppies for latex, etc. would be a nono. So, still there are rules.

Well, I don't want to sell it, but read this...
Any person may sell or peddle the products of the farm or garden occupied and cultivated by him without obtaining a license therefor,” says the provision adopted 120 years ago.

Interesting read about a study on root growth. One of the methods enlists the help of bacteria that live in symbiosis with the plant and can cause the plant to change its growth pattern. Several companies in Denmark are working on this right now.

Farmerlion,
I'm rather new to the forum. Can't seem to work the search features very well.

I got on a long historical thread over the winter where it was you I believe and some others like Cactus squatter that were talking a lot about Sea-90. Convinced me to give it a try.
When I got my living soil for my containers I noticed the retailer offered it from bulk. So I added 2# my order.

Can't seem to find the thread or your preferred usage instructions.
Iirc I think it was 1/2 tsp a gallon once a week?
Could I get a refresher?
Outdoor grow - Living soil - 30gal fabrics
Thanks

Hey brother
I prefer 1tsp per 5 gallons if you are using for every watering. The package dosage is taken from a hydroponics feeding schedule. You don't want to do that in soil.

In foliar spray and intermittent feedings I liked 3tsp in 2 gallons of water. I have been using 1/2tsp in a blender full of various smoothie? Imo the smoothie is really the ticket for best performance.

I hope this helps.

Gosh, that just sounds like too much sodium that could build up, if not watering to run off. Actually, it sounds like too much, anyway. But...results are results.

It's not table salt It's Sea-90, I can water 6 bags in summer heat with 5 gallons of water. I don't use it on every watering, maybe I would cut it back a little over time if I fed that way?
I don't know at what point of alkalinity that the microbes are negatively effected. I'm building my soil base until the root system controls It's environmental conditions.

If a person gets to heavy this can be reversed by using only water in a short period of time. Each soil composition will have It's own retention properties. I expect each grower to learn their environmental conditions accordingly 😉
Have a great day!

It's just sea salt. Sea salt is different than "table salt" which is sodium chloride. Sea salt is from sea water and contains a large variety of minerals/micronutrients. I use store bought sea salt when making JADAM JMO. Sea salt or sea water can be applied to the garden with beneficial effects.

Xtsho, thank you for posting. I wanted to double check that my phone hadn't spellchecked teaspoons for pounds. I've had crazy experiences when trying to abbreviate words.

The Sea-90 Ocean Minerals is the one product that I would take if I had to start plant life on another planet.

I just looked up the difference between sea salt and table salt. Both are basically sea salt. The stuff that is mined is from ancient sea deposits, it gets the other minerals taken out, iodine put in or left in, and is mostly what we find as table salt. So, even though it (Sea 90) has other minerals in it, it is basically SALT. The amount of sodium and chloride depends on what body of water (or deposit) that it is taken from.

If people are not letting the bags or containers drain out, that salt is going to build up, if using more than the plant can take up.

This is taken from the Sea of Cortez, inland side of the Central American Coastline. I guess I am perplexed about your concern over 3 level teaspoons in 5 gallons of water? Suspended particles don't build up in properly arrigated grow bags, they will flush out the bottom with continuous cycles.

In most bags there is not a root system to pick up the nutrients at this time. Hence I have not shown me using any salts as I have amended the soil already to my preference. The potatoes used also have a rich source of starches, while not being exact are similar in many sources of nutrients.

I wish you all a wonderful day!

Just warning people, not everyone uses drainage through the grow, and some reuse their medium. The no-till thing is gaining in popularity. In those cases, it's going to build up, unless the plant is somehow taking up everything that goes in.

I grabbed some clearance bananas.
I cut the stem off as it doesn't pureed very well at all. For Potassium and sugars your plants will love it. Drop in a whole egg and watch what happens.

Remember that your roots build a relationship with microbial colonies. Keep doing these feedings and your Ph will balance itself and your plants will start grabbing gears, racing towards a harvest that really gives you confidence as a grower.

Thank you! 😊 I take some things for granted and don't explain them in detail. Much appreciated 🙏 ☺️

Started my repositories this morning. Banana and watermelon.
Forgot the eggs this time.

That was fun. I like messing with my plants anyways.
I'm a retired Chef. Do all the grocery shopping and cooking. This will fit right in with my worm composting and such

Subbed up.. good to see this thread.
Blondie it's always good to see you my friend.

Moose/MI,
You are going to have fun my friend. So many of us want to be more hands on, with synthetic nutrients this gets us in trouble.

To be able to grab some old fruit or berries and make a smoothie that is going to make your smoke taste better at minimum, is a great opportunity to be interactive without consequences.

I'm excited to see these plants of yours thrive. Wish I was in a position to sponsor growers, I'd have a winning team the first season.
I see the Medical community moving into personal relationships with growers that specialize in PTSD strains with elevated cannabinoids for Nuerological damages.

There will be strains that pioneer specific compounds for treatment in cancer and autism that don't have any side effects that so many suffer as my wife does.

The recreational market will be the last to see the light or even care. When one's only goal is to get drunk or high to escape real life for a few hours. However,! as this style of growing and the understanding of phenotypic expressions as an influence is documented and proven in clinical trials.

There's no reason why cannabinoidal compounds in cannabis can't mimic those of heroin without the fear of overdose! Fentynal will have claimed it's last victim of those that can't be strong when facing temptations of the flesh.
We all have captivates to overcome in our lives. They shouldn't only come with the government anchor of welfare compliance attached to our treatments.

Post your experience with this season here for others to validate.
