HOMEBOX IS STURDY ENUFF

HOMEBOX IS STURDY ENUFF

I've been going on with the 120+120+200cm box for a little less than a year now. I've had a 400 + 600 HPS adjust-a-wing slightly modified in there, and of course a 200m^3 carbon-filter. For extraction I just place the larger RVK-125 inline fan horizontally upon the ductopening and the suction makes the flap-lining thighten nicely.

Small cloning shelfs of lightweight metal should easily be carried by the framework of HOME-BOX.

Nice seeing oother people hitting it with these tents. They are extremely suitable for the rent-appartment dwellers and other in need of occasional relocation....

They make portable closets, like a light weight version of these, the one I had was martha stewart's brand, about 30 bucks locally. It was not lite tite, but a tarp covered that, literally. Just tossing that in for folks that need a smaller budget item. I used mine for seed production.

cool haps..........do you think it would be nice to line it with mylar, and cut exhaust holes, and all that. It looks pretty sturdy to be able to hold a rack of coats.......I want to run 600 watt lumateks, with silver star hoods.

Homebox is orginal and the budbox guy worked for homebox and left and made the budbox which is a copy... Homebox has improved mistakes such ass creating tougher corners so they don't break easy... People copieen the box, then found out alot of corners broke because they copied the old box together with all orginal mistakes...

The homebox is great. Its sturdy enough, the coating is thick and you won't penetrate it easily...

What i don't see on other boxes is air intake on the sides, which the homebox provides on each side.... U got fresh air incoming from all side... Maybe its the pictures but i don't see it on the hydrohut, and the greenroom doesnt even has white coating inside. Which makes it more a tent for camping then for growing...

Not to mention that homebox will offer customer support when u manage to break things

If you are interested I can offer tents at a fraction of the cost home-box style not greenhouse. Price not including shipping would be around half the price. available in the sizes of
Grow Tents

That looks just like a hydrohut but the picture isn't that good to tell for sure. And if prices are listed in US Dollars, you may want to relist the sizes of your tents to sizes that us US growers would understand (inches, feet, etc.).

How is yours for the fraction of the cost when a HydroHut Mini can be purchased for $169.99 and shipping came out to $11 for my zip code. $185 total. Add shipping to the price of your mini tent and it comes out to around $225. Not such a fraction of the cost if you ask me.

Hi. Why not just build your own grow tent out of 2x4? I like a 2x4 frame because then you can screw in a hook ANYWHERE you want. Makes for convenient hanging for fans and lights, and other things (plants for example).

Only tool you need is a drill. You can get one of those for $30. The 2x4s are DIRT cheap. Most expensive thing is the panda plastic aka b/w ply. You can get a 10'x100' roll for $80 and that will probably last you for life unless you are doing some big things.

So for half the cost of a grow tent you get a free drill, a free roll of panda plastic, a grow room built to the exact specs YOU want, AND the satisfaction of knowing you did it yourself and put it to the man! :biglaugh:

PS Im sure this has been posted a few times before. Im stoned and I had to post. You fools are getting RIPPED OFF!!!!

Carry on :D

good advice baby hughie.........i've been thought about 2x4's........Have you built anything like this before?

yeah I just built a room a couple months ago.

it was my first time building a room with 2x4s, and let me tell you I am ALWAYS going to do it this way from now on. There is a good margin for error too it doesn't have to be perfect :joint: And 2x4s are so cheap man. AND buying them is low key, you could be making ANYTHING!!! A deck? A bench? A table? What are you making? IT DOESNT MATTER :biglaugh:

Its nice because you can build it to the size you want, and you can screw in hooks ANYWHERE you want which makes for convenient hanging of whatever you need to hang (or tie up).

If you move, or want to change things, you can just take it apart! Just use screws when building it.

Not as convenient as a grow tent, but with the money you save you can buy some seeds or something :joint:

ya hughie's got the idea, i can't imagine paying these prices for a tent.

but if you can't/too scared to screw into your wall, you can go even cheaper, but not as sturdy......

panda is too expensive for my blood......

i built my tent for about $25.

$10 - pvc
$10 - contractor trash bags
$5 - duct tape

once the light is unhooked, the whole thing can be broken down in a matter of seconds to be trashed or trasnported, something commonly overlooked IMO.

if you need to add more ducting, just punch a hole through the side and tape around to lightproof it :biglaugh:

it's ghetto, but it's justified when you don't have the cream $$$$$$$$ nah mean? :rasta:

funny you would mention PVC, I tried using 1" PVC and lets just say it didnt' work for me :biglaugh:

Just to be clear I didn't screw anything into my wall, I just built a 2x4 frame inside a bedroom then stapled panda plastic to it for the walls.

Good point on the teardown factor though. Ive got holes in my ceiling that are a dead giveaway so for me the teardown factor is mostly just the plants.

I mean, theres technically nothing illegal about having a growroom, right? I could be growing fruits and vegetables in my hydro system, ya know. They do it at the hydro shop! :biglaugh:

Same here. I used 3/4" PVC; used sticky Velcro to line the PVC and sewed the other side of the Velcro on some 2 mil Mylar glued to some black felt. The structure wasn't all that sturdy, even with some structural support beams and whatnot. In the end it ended up costing more for the smaller, less sturdy PVC structure than the HydroHut Mini.

i understand what you guys are saying here.... i love diy projects, just check my gallery. but i think for the 170 for the mini, overall, it's a tossup. everyone's situation is different. to each his own. screw it(no pun intended) i will have to give some product feedback from the DIY standpoint when it gets here:)

hopefully no alterations are needed, but i won't hesitate:)

I'm all about convinence and buying everything complete.. because of my current living situation.

Just because DIY works better for someone else doesn't equal the same for me.

2x4s and Panda wouldn't compare to the ease of use the HH provided me.

Price isn't an object considering the final product.

everyone has good points. That trashbag idea is cool. If you needed to get out quick, assuming you were growing soil you could take the light out collapse the frame, use the whole schpeel as a tote bag to drag to your truck and get it to safety.

The HH mini looks great, but i need to get sixteen plants, and the 4x4 would be nice.

Is there any way to fit 16 3 gallon pots into the 3x3. Would a 600 watt digital be better suited in a 3x3, verses the 4x4.
