Im thinking of getting the homebox s and was thinking of going with a 6in fan too....but if its too loud might have to use a 4in.....anybody have any ideas on a good fan /scrubber combo for the homebox s??? Was thinking of using the can 33?

THe homebox S is the smaller one, I defintly wouldnt go with a 6"

And as far as i know, u have to buy the controller. The guy at the hydro place told me that fan speed controllers are real hard on the fan, i dunno if its true or not.

Yeah I heard they can drain the shelf life of the fan.......Ideally I would like to cool the tent with 4in fan for exhaust with the perfect can filter to go with it......im going to run a 400w hps in there so it should be cool...the homebox s is about 63 in height wise........so should be perfect for the room as ceiling space is limited...... :bashhead:

The girl at the hydro store told me to go with nothing less then the 50, that the 33 won't cover the smell of cat piss.... I actually went with out a filter last grow... since its in the tent and the fan was on all the time, I have it venting into the attic, i didnt smell anything in the house. Once when i was sitting in the yard reading a book i caught a faint skunk smell, this was in the last two weeks of flower mind you.

Yah you gotta watch what your growing in the tent, I totally ran out of room, after i had the table in there and the light i had about 30" to play with, flowered at 15" and i had to tie them down they wouldn't stop growing. I plan on running SOG style next time so height shouldnt be a problem.

Can you attach the 50 to a 4" fan, is it just a matter of ducting and flanges being the right size?

I dont know about running the can 50 atleast in my situation that mother is huge.....and I dont think the support beams inside the tent would hold up that big ass mofo.....then last option would be putting it on the floor but then u give up precious space with the filter on the floor....

I was thinking about getting a inline filter cause i was thinking the same thing, but Ive seen people just have them in the tents, under their tables.. you could also build a box, put the filter in there and then connect the box to the tent inbetween the tent and the Fan

but then being stealth about goes right out the window I think......trying to minimize whats visible on the outer area of the homebox........

Well the homebox itself isn't exzactly stealthy... Like it will be kind of hard to explain what it is.. I just got them locked in a room. I went with a tent more for being able to tear down on short notice.. and i dont own the place i dont feel like punching a bunch of holes in the place.

You want stealthy you should think about building one, theres a few great threads in the micro forums, Like my clonebox was 250 i should have just built something to my needs but Im lazy and had extra money

If you have a grow space 26.6 cf(DR80), how many times more than that does your filter need to be rated. The CAN 9000 is relatively inexpensive and rated at 55cfm or twice the air in that grow space and only 9lbs. I can't remember if I read you need 2, 3, or more times the cubic feet of your grow space processed per minute by your filter.

Anyone know the answer on this?

I still don't know what the considerations is of flange size. Does your ducting fit to a flange? Some of these filters have like 8" flanges. Nobody uses 8" ducting do they?

FWIW, here is another site that has some reasonable prices on CAN, the 9000 being $57. https://www.horticulturesource.com/...age/3?osCsid=f212ba3a8c1bf04009841c8c7b6bf1c7

Actually it is for me since I have a few of those wardrobe tents that look just like a homebox in different colors.....the only thing I would blackout with a marker is the logo on the homebox other than that it looks exactly like one of those clothing closets.....lol

That might be for something like a 1000w lamp. I found quite a few 8" flanged reflectors online...

Hey Dankstarr..

Yeah, Homebox has been trouble-free so far to my knowledge.

I recommend Homebox or Secret Jardin tents, and personally prefer the Jardin tent, but both will treat you right.

Good luck!

XL BudBox

XL BudBox

Can I join the fun? :)

I just got my XL BudBox. So far it's equipped with 1 600w hps and a 6" inline fan with Odor Sok air filter.

I'll be using 2x600w once I start flowering in a few days.

It seems they have added 2 side vents for an air cooled reflector in the new models. Makes things so much easier not having to run the ducting up through the roof and back down on the outside.

2113DSCF0177.JPG

The vents on the sides are 150mm and on the top and bottom are 200mm.

2113DSCF0178.JPG

The bad points so far:

One of the rubber tags on the zippers just came off

1 pinhole light leak in the canvas and a few pinhole leaks around seams and through zippers

Overall I like the tent. The build quality and light-proofing could definately be better, but then it is a fucking tent so what can you really expect?

Do u tie your light hangers directly to the top poles? or is there soomthing connecting them?

Yes, they are tied directly.
I've made little loops in the cord on the end of each hanger so they can be looped over the poles.

Hydro-Hut and Leaves Yellowing

Hydro-Hut and Leaves Yellowing

I started using a Sun-Hut and new nutes 8 days ago. The owner of the hydro store told me Sun-Huts never had a problem I thought I was getting a good deal @ $175. I am using Technaflora nutes, at 24ml of the grow formula every other time I water. I don't know the EC yet I am getting a meter today.

I don't know if it is caused by the Sun Hut off gassing or nutrient burn need advice. Here are the latest pictures.
