i think we practice to different theroies of growing.

where i subscribe to getting as much out of each plant as possible regardless of veg time you believe in growing more plants to compensate for the lack of per plat production.

getting as much out of each plant...thats everyones goal  I don't grow more plants...I am in confined spaces less than the homebox in question. And I don't have to compensate for a lack of anything my man...

but for this instance more light would be better because of the small space and you are trying to maxamize the space. in THIS situation more light is easier to add than more space.

Thats what I am saying bro...in THIS instance more light wouldn't be better. 75 wpsf is with 4 600's, and you are recommending 100! Good luck with that one...

We are getting off topic here...lets get back to the grow boxes :)

actually if you scroll up a few posts you will see that i said i have seen a few very successful 100 wpsf grows. i said 75 was top notch....u say u want the most out of each plant and you kno more light will increase harvest weight so obviously you either dont care about getting the most out of a plant or you dont believe that more light = more bud.

I'm planning on getting the Kindergarden for veg. It is 4'7"W x 2' D and I am thinking of a digi 250W MH. I also have a 2 tube 2 ft. fluoro fixture. I want to be able to keep a couple moms, clones, germ sometimes, and veg in there. How would you guys light that space for what will support a four flowering plant perpetual grow? I will be doing a 600 W light for flowering and do not want to go with a 400 MH for electricity cost. 250 W I hope can get the job done. What do you think?

I run a 3x5 closet w a 1000whps and a 600 mh and the temps stay constant @ 84-87.
theres 18 ladies in 3 gallon pots
I run the co2 @ 1250 ppm and the females are loving it
granted im running a lower yielding strain (ogk) im not sure how my yield will be, but then again im not trying to maximize my yield as if i was i wouldve certainly picked another strain. my main goal is to produce the absolute best dank i have ever smoked/can produce, out of the genteics i have. I've spent probably close to $8k in this room which is ridiculous, and I took mine and my girlfriends clothes out of the closet to do this so our lives are messy as hell. then again Im not going to the club so they can rob me for $70 an 1/8 either. I do understand that there could be point of diminishing w/ the light but I have yet to read any publication that explains this in detail. AFAIK the skys the limit w/ light, nothing can really replicate the sun as efficiently as it does but to be able to have my room get as close as possible efficiently was my goal and i feel i have achieved that.

my friend runs a 4x8 hut and has 2 1000whps in there, he cools it with an 8" fan w/ scrubber a nd the temps stay real nice all day (probably like 74) he can pull off about 2lbs from ths thing which is plenty IMHO.......

on a random sidenote, my friend just came back from vancouver boasting of his friends setup, he said they used 4x8 ebb n flow tbles w like 6-8 1000w lights I seriously dont have any idea how its possible but thats what he said, and now hes gonna go the same route himself, he said something about 14 lbs from this setup w like 175 sites packed in there on 4x4 cubes

How to arrange fan filter to clean and cool homebox

I have my new XL Homebox a 5” RVK fan and filter and I’m going to be running a 600w digital light (going to buy it this week), My reflector is not a air cooled reflector, I was hoping to clean air and cool room at same time but I not sure what is the best way to set it up to do this has any one any advice plz.

Was just wondering the same kinda thing myself.

How can one cool and air-cooled light, and scrub the air, and exhaust hot air from room etc with only 1 fan?

I already have a 400w digi, cant decide on the mini, kindergarden, or the 2x4, HAH.

I like the kindergardens clone ready zone, but not too sure how well it would work in actual practice.

alright cobo!! Keep us updated...

It took a 1/2-hour to put up, but then had a smoke b4 hand so slowed me down a bit. He He He

Simple enough to put together, have not put anything in it yet as I might have to take it down if I need an Electrician to put in another clean line to fuse box, don’t know if I will need it yet, but as I sometimes go away for few days at a time I think it would be best for safety reasons. I have a friend who is Electrician and he advised me too, but he live to far away to do it. Told me to say I wanted it to run my computers and their equipment on the clean line, as this seems to be done quite a lot.

Very Happy with it so far, but will have to wait until my lights and equipment are in and running before I make any judgments on it. But all is looking well at moment.

easy, hook the scrubber to the fan to the light to the exit vent

also, on a sad note, the nosy people at the campground found my grow tent,
but it sucked trying to sleep in there with those bright ass lights anyway

How do you Hook it to light if you dont have a air coled reflector ??

You have your carbon filter hooked to the intake side of a "vented hood" which then connects to the fan. Air passes through the filter, then through the light, then through the fan and is exhausted.

so your saying, scrubber-reflector-fan-exhaust will pull enough hot air out from the room to cool the room and keep light cool? just from suckin through the scrubber?

Put your carbon filter on the outside and your fan inside the tent, pull from the light and push out of the tent into the filter.

Temps sit around 75 for me in a room with 2 cabinets, a hydrohut with a 400w digi, and a 55pint dehumid.

Hey bro, I know venting and all can be tricky, if you need, hit up my CHRONIC grow thread...I explained a little on how I ran the ducting for my hydro hut...there's really a bunch of ways you can do it efficiently

GOOD LUCK,
RUSH

Absolutly, i have a 400 hps (cool tube) in a 16" x 4' "enclosed cabinet hooked to a 265cfm elicent (mounted outside the house pulling air from the cabinet) and my temps rarely get above 80*

PS. you can make a cool tube out of a bake-a-round tube for under $30
Bake-a-round tubes on Ebay

i already have a cool sun reflector, but i cant cut holes in walls etc due to being in an apartment, my closet is about 24'' deep and 4-5 ft across, so im gonna have to get a lil creative fitting that all in one line, lol
