if you already have a tent with a square footprint, i would definitely fgo with the parabolic reflector. this is just the reason i went with the hydrohut 2x4. it just seems so much easier to get an even footprint with a couple of air cooled hoods, or especially a 4'x2' t5 fixture=).

^^^ Seen those cobo^^^ from the same ebay seller as the Budbox's (cheers for that link BTW).

Don't really fancy that reflector tho for a tent. Seems like it might be too intense in places, and not enough in others.

Sorry I didn't get these up sooner, I was out of town for a couple of days. This is my homemade cab. It's 8' tall, 8' wide, and 4' deep. Very solid and cost me about $140 and took me and a friend about 6 hours to build. I love it, but am sick of building these things every time I move. I am getting the HydroHut Deluxe because it's the same size as my current box (only one foot shorter) so I can put my current wattage in there.

p.s. I couldn't fit the whole cab in a picture, there's just not enough room for me to get back far enough.

Hey Buddy....

The oil radiator I use has a built in thermostat and safety cut out...

It was around £20...I think I bought it from B&Q...it does the job well :woohoo:

Peace.

do you vent the tent space at lights off? does the heat not cause any probs for plants? i heat the room my cab is in and leave a window slightly ajar. i vent evry 30 mins or so during lights off (timer). is this norm or should i vent constantly? sorry to side track.

Hey Buddy,

My extraction fan and carbon filter run 24/7 along with a small ocilating fan that slowly blows air through the 'blades' of the radiator... At lights out the thermostat built into the oil radiator gradually raises the heat to the maximum I set it too and compensates for the heat the Lamp makes at lights on... the difference in heat is only around 6 or so degrees celsius...

Peace.

they can be dismantled and folded away or for ease of transportation. they have all built in features for ventilation and light tightness. highly reflective light weight material. in case of emergency you could move it in minutes! can see their appeal! what do you do with a cab when you move? hire a skip?

i don;t use them simply cause no room in them samll things !!!! but i do know ppl who have them ,, and for the money imo,, i think there are worthless!! same affect from plastic,, or build a room from celotex!! it's about 4 pounds for a 4 x 8 ft sheet and holds it's own weight!! very effective!!
i just feel if your going to grow in those things !! for the MONEY they cost!!
they add no extra benifit!! thats all im sayin ,, growin dosen't take all this pretty stuff!! who it looks has nothing to do with how the herb turns out!!
and reflective ,, as far as that goes!! there so small !! reflectivenees holds no value in there!! by the time the canopy is full grown !! hell the whole lil space is full and it's the top that only gets light!! and even a 400 in those small places would do wonders!! all im saying!!! it is a over priced room!!

that won't fit in a tent !!
