Competition GROW CONTEST WINNER: Noreason gardens

I don't have problem picking keepers, I got prob getting rid of the duds. I hate to kill off mother plants.
I know it's probably bullshit, but sometimes when I grow out some bagseed or even a pack from breeders and I find one that doesn't have the kick, on the back of my head I'm thinking "well maybe it's high in CBD."
Especially when it's good producer or a great taste. My dud me might be someone else's perfect medicine. Vice versa.
Living in prohibitionland I don't have easy access to cannabinoids and terpene testing.
But I'm sure they have all just been duds. At least that's what I'm telling myself.

Wow. Beautiful close ups. You got photog skills and grow skils

Thanks buddy!

Another thing is I smoke and never really get high so I'm not a good tester or judge of buzz
That's the same for me...but I must admit that sometimes I feel the high when it's really strong, like GG#4 or SxPC....and this mean they're good for sure, but overall I don't care about the buzz.

Well, I got you. Indeed there are too many variables to consider overall, and that's why I want to focus all of my energies right now just to search and keep the best aromas I can get. Just that thing, I don't care if sativa or indica style, I don't care about yield, leaf/bud ratios, flo time, don't even care if I see some male flowers in some occasions so everything is about aroma, not even smell, but aroma when smoked and my thoughts are to cross the best I have recombining DNAs and see what happens.

Well...about aromas...I love the exodus one. This cut is fucking awesome, it could be ''old'' but for me is one of the top aromas, strong, with a strong aftertaste...daily smoke for me, love it!
Here some near to harvest, flushed with RO for 20 days and still have some withish foxtails on the tops, but just a little...and I also need space for next Tangie run, so I'll cut'em soon.

I found some months ago springtails in my hydro systems. They came out from the supersoil run, where the medium was a super-contaminated stuff. Most probably they were in the humus and once they get some water and organic matter, they started to live and reproduce in my grow.

Well, overall I didn't notice issues till now. I also didn't see damage to the roots. But my point is...wtf they are eating to survive?

In a hydro setup like I run, they don't have access to decomposing organic matter to eat...so? At now I see few individuals alive, they're dying, but there were more, hundreds, probably thousands.

I don't want to kill'em without a concrete reason. If they want to stay and they don't do any damage is ok, but what they're eating? Any input about this? I'll check more roots next days to see if I can find some damages, but if any have some infos...it's more then welcome.

If I discover something wrong with'em I already have the right pesticide to use in the next run to keep all clean but I would know more before.

Thanks bro :tiphat: Springtails or collembola are pretty common in our surroundings, everywhere. They're a lot of species and they're part of the ''life cycle'' like insects, even if they're not. It's not the first time I see them, I remember them many years ago when I was used to grow in re-used mix of coco and soil (and plants were happy).

Stay tuned for the next selection ;)

Did you use any bottles that had organic inputs? Maybe they are eating tiny particles of kelp or such.

Thanks bro :tiphat:

BTW I smoked all the 5 unseeded tangies harvested. Overall nothing special. The smell is superb, it's really tangie, milky and a little skunky...but when smoked the terps are not strong like many others moms I have, just one Tangie female could be a keeper to make some F2s and go searching for better traits in the offspring but overall I would not grow again Tangie. I was not so lucky finding a good pheno out of a single package.

Hi Noreason;)
I'm sorry that this project with the Tangie did not satisfy you:petting:
Also I have a Tangie, cut by Flowsky, in bloom (look in my album) and I hope to have more luck; I have high expectations for Tangie, smell like Fanta, which I like very much. so I cross my fingers.
I follow all your masterpieces with great interest!
Bella bro!!!

Yeah also mines have that fanta smell, but when smoked it's only a light one, not so persistent. Probably you will be more lucky if it's from a selected cut...and I hope you'll be :)

Ecco- Grazie Noreason

I realized I can keep a lot of different cuttings vegging in a very small space until the selection is done. The remaining phenos just have to be transplanted as they're more then ready to grow. That's how they look after a couple or even more months of rooting under the dome.

Wauw - such roots.
Lets see the green aboove the roots :)

Great thread noreason :woohoo:

P :smoke:

Thanks P.:tiphat:

Funnily enough I didn't take picture of the upper part, they were not so good looking (better say ugly) after 2 months pushed against the dome. Next time I'll take some ;)

Nice root mass!
Are you still using the mist cloner? If so, how long do you keep cuttings in there and how do you keep the solution's temp down (ultrasonic fogger heats up the water a lot)?
