Here is my keeper sour bubble, day 59 as well. I will start the chop on day 61. Letting them get nice and stoney. The lights are high for the last week to keep the flavors intact as best possible in the main colas. Sour lime candy goodness that breaks necks everywhere you go. This round was all about quality and quanity 2nd, hopefully I have pushed the flavor to the max.

Big respect PK, you got your rig dialed in and have been churning and turning out awesome pulls and consistent updates, I've been off the boards for a minute but I'm interested to see what you do with those SFV's and your next round in the main room.....also, keeping a thread up is no joke.....it takes serious time and you've probably helped countless growers out there, so respect.

I just have two questions for you pertaining to your mix. Why the coco? It doesn't hold any biology and the salt cation exchange can really fuck things up, not knocking your mix by any means, the proof is in the pudding and we've seen your pudding, but couldn't you make your mix work even harder for you if you ditched the the coco and added compost, oyster shell, azomite, peat moss, and then did a soil analysis after your harvest to see how it needed to be amended and keep reusing it? Shoot, after reading this thread here https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=241964 I'm very intrigued by this idea and almost approaching your indoor organics as if it were an outdoor and reusing the biology you have established in your root zone to your advantage.

I probably wouldn't do the entire room the first time trying this because fucking up a 10k is no joke but if you took one of your pots, got the soil tested, amended it and pushed it through another cycle it would be an interesting experiment and potentially a major time energy saver.

And I'm not trying to tell you how to do your thing, I'm actually setting up a very similar style room/grow and clearly you're banging it outta the park, just trying to add some discussion to the mix and would like to hear your thoughts on it.

Again, big respect.

Javadog- thanks, glad they sound yummy!

LyryC- Like a BOSS! Hell yeah thanks :)

silverhazefiend- thanks you, yes I do have a touch of OCD. It is a bit of an obstacle in life when you won't touch nothing unless you can do it 110%. If I can't do that then I won't even start. Sucks lol

Inifinitesimal- bx3 I believe, from Bog's first release after his return to the market. Still my number one smoke of all time after a few years now.

Ilovecoconuts- No prob, it is how i got to where I am so I love to give back. Yes I get runoff everytime I water. It may not be as necessary with organics though I just always get sum.

Max6699- Good to hear I know how it exciting it can be scroing something you crave on seedbay or the boutique. You are very welcome and hopefully there will be more to come from this way. Thank you for supporting the cause and the community.

PerroVerde- Awesome and you are welcome. They are actually bx3 f2's, bx4 f2's, and bx3 x bx4. Please let me know how they turn out for you.

Somoz- Hey thanks alot, no doubt the thread takes some time and energy. I probably have 100,000 typed essay here but it is a work of love.

Why the Coco? Honestly I have not a clue, I got the recipe along time ago from Blazeoneup and have never questioned it. Despite my success I am actually more of a hydro head then organics so I am open to debate, always room for improvement.

I have thought about reamending and testing but I love having the same exact mix everytime even if it cost me time money and energy which is dumb I know, I can be kind of stubborn lol. Playng with one pot is a good idea. I am ordering 8ft long x 4ft wide x 2-3ft high smart pots in rectangular shape and doing raised be gardens with my leftover soil so no worries it is going to good use. It will be my first garden I am excited.

I know you aren't telling me how to do anything, I appreciate the feedback and I am open to anyones and everyoens opinion on how to improve my garden and production. For me this mix is just super simple that is why I love it, a guranteed crop everytime. I may switch to ebb/flo buckets eventually it is much cleaner and more controllable but for now I don't want to have to afford the risk of loosing a crop.

Alright so IC, as always as soon as you leave town for one night something happens. I come home on day 1 flower to 90F temps, lights off do to high temp shutoff, and an AC that was hot as shit. Lucky me the weather outside is cold and it isn't July, a backup ac install can't come soon enough. I am able to run 8 lights in flower right now and 2 other in flip/flop and veg and keep temps at 80F canopy level just by cracking my main door and setting a 1000cfm fan down next to it. Practically perfect environment minus my co2 and lack of 20% light but it could be worse.

Me and the HVAC tech have been tinkering with a couple times now and tomorrow we should have some new parts installed and/or a very good idea of what is going on. I am not going to get into all of the shit it is doing until we fix it, but it may just be a bad breaker I will know tomorrow.

So the Katsu are on day 4 and I have them all tied and staked, some may be like 8ft+ around lmao. The canopy will be very full I almost had to discard some trees. I apologize for no pics at the moment as soon as I get everything cruising again I will update I have been very busy.

damn missed your seed drop! im a fan of your genetic lineup..

sucks to hear about the mishaps with the AC...one of the reasons im tempted to throw in the towel on my indoor room and keep it 100% outdoor for cash cropping purposes...indoor is just such a damn headache sometimes.

mack 10- Bro the beans sold out like hotcakes, there weren't many but they went fast. I will look through albums in a bit and see if I have some veg shots, not sure if I have any close ups or not.

YesProp215- Sorry man I did blast it out there in a few threads trying to give peeps a heads up. There will be more and better things to come I pormise and when I really find something great I will make a shit ton. Yeah it stresses me out to the max man, enough that I found a gray hair sticking out the side of my head last night lmao. I am lucky it isn't July. That is life though, shit has been so good on all levels it was starting to get boring. Shit breaks and thats why they make replacement parts, can't drag race down the track and not expect to need a rebuild every now and then :)

Damn I missed your beans! Whoever thought Id be saying that! lol

Still got ECSD X SB seeds in thr fridge though!

Almost grabbed the OGs as well but you are now the 3rd person that says they focus kind of like a magnifying glass and that you have to run them higher off the canopy. No bueno with the added height of that beast in my room.

Keep on killin it bro! Can't wait to see how that Katsu compares to SB in your room...

That's exactly my thoughts bro. You can't expect to go hard steadily without some kinda repairs being made at some point.

PerroVerde- :)

Burning Tree- Right! Not me, but if things go the way I plan it might be a permanent thing one day but I want to make sure anything I release for actual sale is 100% legit and worked so it will still take time. In the meantime there will be lots of primo leftovers from my testing and frankenstein experiments.

Blazeoneup- Yeah man I have to remain optimistic about it, shit hurts my insides but I just have to brush it off. Today it is cold enough to run every light I need at this time, 12K. Only thing missing is co2 :(

Well today we replaced the outdoor fan motor, the old one def needed to go. Some bearings were shot. So what happened was the shot bearings caused the unit not to be able to cool itself effciently, causing high pressure on the outside connector. The high pressure caused the freon to expel out the connector. The high heat then caused the compressor motor to take a fat shit we found out today after testing. So either I have my hvac guy get a replacement motor from his wholesaler that is a direct replacement of a different brand, or I get one shipped from EXCEL. Excel may be able to ship me the whole stealth box to make things easy, but it will take a week unless I spend 700-1000 on overnight shipping. I am waiting to hear back and probably will just overnight the whole damn box and be done with it. So all in all, I got three brand new motors in the unit since I replace the blower motor as well from the transformer blowout of 2012. Really I see it as a bonus especially before the record summer temps come back.

I do want to say, no BS, Excel has had the best most personable and helpful customer service then any other company anywhere for anything at anytime. There are two dudes that answer the phone Sam and Mike and they go above and beyond with lots of patience on their end to get me running again. Their warranty is legit and they have overnighted me parts before free of cost. I get bad service in the room and many times I have to put them on hold and go get serial numbers and all that. Despite the issues I have had, I would spend the big dollar and buy another unit from them again.

AC units break it is a fact of life otherwise we wouldn't have hvac techs. I am quite well read and experienced myself now and almost comfortable enough to tackle any task on the machine. I still however love having a hvac tech to call upon and have there for help when needed. I ordered him a big box of Omaha steaks, new york strips, bacon wrapped filet migon, premium burger patties, and a ham for a tip that I will hand deliver in a day or two when it arrives. Pay it forward it always comes back :)

Right on, I know how it goes and I hear you - when things are working why tinker around and just make more headaches for yourself. I'm just very allured with the results I've seen from no till no amended recycled soil runs over the course of a year in 8-10K rooms and their production.

Also, if you're talking about outdoors with those 4x8 beds I wouldn't even bother with them personally. Get the bobcat out and dig a foot or two in an 8'x8' square, drop your gypsum down which acts as 1000s of natural hoes digging up the earth for you and spend the money you'd save by not buying those beds on more dirt. Even if you can't do a bobcat big piles in 8x8 squares work a treat. Or if it's just for veggies make rows, you'll have some baller tomatoes and peppers.

Getting off topic, don't know if you ever looked into an economizer for your hvac system but they work exceptionally well in these bitter cold Midwest winters. Essentially if the air outside is cold enough to cool the room it will shut off the compressor saving you coin and bring in fresh air from outside. A lot of commercial buildings use these to save on costs during the winter when there are a lot of people in a building. Think a concert hall or something to that degree.

I'm more of a negative pressure/intake cold air kinda guy during the winter. Less moving parts and less juice but you obviously can't run co2 with that kind of setup. Kind of the same reason I switched from hydro to soil, too many moving parts just fucks things up at the most inopportune times but hey, it takes all different kinds as they say.

I just rambled on there for a minute, hope you get that ac sorted out and look forward to seeing this room purrrrh.

Ilovecoconuts- No prob :)

somoz- Yeah man I could imagine not having to mix 800 gallons of soil every 6 weeks or so would be nice, I may buy a nice cement mixer I found that should do a batch or two at a time. Also I found commercial soil mixers that are ballin expensive, like 6k but they would be a dream.

The smartpots I am talking about are for fruits and veggies. You would shit at how much soil I have in a year plus I let a friend dump a few truckloads here. If the State decided to redo its topography maps there would be a new mountain that needed naming lol. I have enough soil to fill the beds they would just need some freshening up and good to go. I don't want to go the ground route I have way to many pesky varmits out here.

I am not familiar with the economizer it sounds pretty cool however I like the 24/7 365 environment with co2. Saving money is cool but I would rather have the benefits of co2. The ac I have can run down to -35F I was told is as cold as they have seen it run thus far. When it was -15 to -20 here it ran 100% efficent. I don't mind replacing parts just for now on it is goign to be on my watch and not the units. I will get the AC sorted out very soon there is no pissible way it can defeat me I have the team and the resources it is just a matter of how much shit it wants to serve me first. Really the room is purring away as is but my girls miss their co2 :(

Truecannabliss- ME to! I have smokd elite this elite that and nothing blows my socks off everytime like sour B. It is the whole experience from flavor, taste, high, structure, appeal, and it even test fire to. I know after the 35-40 seeds I have been through I have soemthing special because nothing else was even close and they were all good in their own right. I have some pics of Bog's mom and I can say without a doubt she is very very close to his I think if he grew my cut he would agree.

PK- thanks for the wealth of info in this thread- helped me to decide on my first seed purchase. Just wanted to ask if you noticed any difference in flowering time from seed versus from clone with SB.
