I normally run 18/6 in veg. When running PS, I'll do a two hour drop to 16/8 for a week or so and then from there, drop one hour every third day or so until I get to 12/12. Takes a few extra days but I've never had issue with PS throwing nanners.
No surprise there. VTman is a superb breeder. I'll give the PS a try this spring after i run some mountain golds.

Purple satellite x fast n glorious. Starting to fill out. Day 29 of flowering. She's doing good despite cold temps, low humidity and not enough N.

hydrocotyle for this, I keep two types.. leucocephala floating submerged in a fish tank that I use to water my weed from and hydrocotyle aisiatica in a jar simulating a bog.
They taste good, sweet celery carrot flavour, easy to grow. All hydrocotyles are good for the heart but I found these two tastiest.

Supposedly a Chinese guy lived to about 250 and kept 50 odd wives happy drinking tea made from this, I use it as salad in sandwiches.
Not sure I’d want to live that long or have that many wives but heart problems are in the family so I use it as a prophylactic.

I will look into seeing if I can find the extract as I dont want to put the effort into growing it until I know if it works for me. Though it seems itd be an interesting salad green, watercress like maybe. I wouldnt say I have low blood pressure but I tend to be hypo vs hyper.
I noted the types you mentioned for flavor as i will look deeper into this.

Is that what the PS will do, start throwing nanners? I had it outdoors a couple of years ago but it didn't have enough sun so grew very tall. Aromas were delicious though and it finished first for me.

My Oaxacan Gold is a pretty little princess. :)

My 1st try at making hash, from all of the keif I collected while trimming and processing flower. Next, on to the bubble hash with my bags of small buds and trim and shake. Just in time for Holiday gift giving! Hope @vermontman that you are feeling good and recovering well. Just got another rave review on the MG from one of my seasoned toker friends I gifted some to!

On a bit of a different subject.
Growing food!
First up are Australian red claw crayfish. Awesome source of protein and low in Purines so great if you are prone to gout.
These crustaceans will grow to a whopping 1/4 LB each in just 18 months and taste very close to lobster. Oh and they breed like locust! HAHA

I think it's time as growers to focus on the upcoming times in terms of, I think it will be critical to be able to put food on our tables. I know it's sounds a bit preparish!
but here goes!
And of nothing else I feel the reward of eating your own untainted food is in it's self worth it!
Below Mushroom production oyster mushrooms are the fastest easiest to grow. First pick was my past commercial mushroom solar cooker for pasturing and sterilizing substrate for mushroom production. The temp gets to well over 175F for quite a few hours.
Then of course you need the spawn to grow first in grain then into final substrate. Last pic smaller home scale solar cooker doing it's thing as I type.

And of coarse veg production! I find that a good dehydrator is an amazing way to over produce and store vitamin rich foods for years. And also growing food varieties that are FAST! And nutrient dense. Nothing beats Asian greens for this purpose! Bok Choy, Gai Lan, Gai Choy, Dykon Radish German Giant radish, onions that have a long storage life and in my opinion the most important staples of all are potatoes and squash!
For Potatoes my fave Northern growing is Ukrainian Sarpo Mira Potatoes a longer season potato but terrific production, great yield and super long storage. And they taste damn great!
For the South Ukon Gold. We have gone through about 1/2 of 35 LBS. of Sarpo Mira So next year two beds of these. And last best store old school Waltham Butternut squash, again for reliability storage and terrific flavor!
OOHHHH! I Almost forgot! GARLIC!!! My favorite variety on this is the variety Music we go though about six LBS in six months Music stores great in a pillow case in the veg crisper of the fridge for over six months.

Couldn't agree more @vermontman! We put up lots of venison, butcher chickens, forage for mushrooms, garden full of squash, tomatoes and a dozen other veggies. Can hundreds of jars of tomatoes sauce, sauerkraut and more.

I love Venison! Of course it has to be cooked rare! I like lots of Onion, garlic, Tamari and a dash of Balsamic vinegar just for a bit of sweetness. My other favorite game meat is bear, cooked the same way, though they say bear should be cooked more thoroughly, I'm still alive! HAHA my other fave though not game is Goat but that is long slow cook and damn in Thai curry!
But hell if your going to smoke terrific cannabis you may as well eat the best healthy food! Just sayin! HAHA

I'll have to get some tamari next time I drive to the city. I'll let you know then. Never had bear meat. No bear season in my corner of the state. Definitely on the short list of hunting trips. Been a long time since I ate goat on the regular, now ya got me wanting a goat roast. Your seeds have definitely grown me some fine ganja! That purple satellite loves our soil here in the driftless. Since legalization I've been trying to make outdoor growing a thing here. Sharing clones of the purple satellite has definitely got a handful of newbies hooked on outdoor. Out of all the clones I passed out PS was the favorite. You suggested I try the gmg next so im going with the Oaxaca gold lol. Until I pop those seeds here are some updates on the PS x FNG. If you every need any beans tested in an outdoor setting i got a extra spot in the garden.
