Hey VM.

I was wondering if you have an estimate to how many hours of daylight you would expect your PSxBSHW cross to induce flowering outdoors? I had a guy in Halifax (44N) ask me about the viability of an outdoor grow with that variety.

Any insight in welcome. Cheers.

Hello MD!
I am not certain on hours but I would guess there it should finish by the end of Sept? The Satellite finishes here by late Sept and the BSHW finishes by early to mid Oct but the if Satellite was the seed parent it should be a bit earlier.
I would be keen to hear how that works out for my own knowledge.
Cheers!

VTman, Im sorry for not updating you. I had to abort my green mountain grow. We had to have a bunch of plumbing work done on the rental and I couldnt risk compromising myself. Ill be growing some honduras and panama from Ace this time around but I will give the PPB and Zacatecas another shot for my next grow. Im just waiting for real gorilla to finally restock the banana bud. I cant tell you how hard it was to destroy them. Im just glad this drama came along at the beginning of flowering. Ill be sitting in for all these fabulous other grows(y)

Hey Rob!
Yes that is sad news, sorry you had to go through that, but safety is key.
Last season I had to cut things short because of a potential sewer hook up to my house that never even happened because of crappy timing by the town, and just before that it was mini split AC needing repair and one of the heads was in my grow room. So I hear you!
I don't believe PBB will be restocked I discontinued that cross as it was a limited edition, so I could focus on faster outdoor for northern sativa strains for outdoor growers. Please keep us posted I would love to hear of your progress.
Cheers!

VTman will the Zacatecas be around a bit longer? I know you mentioned focusing on outdoor sativas. The Zac was actually the pretiest plant in the room. And it took on a purple color I was really digging

Hey Rob!
there should be Zacateca Tribute in circulation still and I will be focused on making a fresh batch this season. I am currently growing ZT for my own garden this season.

I just took one of the ZTs down this morning and will take the other in a few days. Smells terrific and was quite sticky. The Big Sur Holy Weed I believe has some Afghani in it, and these plants definitely showed some indica influence. Not much stretch so very manageable, and I would think they would be a good candidate for scrog. They do have a fair amount of leaves to trim but not too bad, and buds filled out nicely. It looks very promising indeed and will be a decent yielder with good bag appeal. :)

PS X BSHW had 6 for 6 come up. They germed and were planted up on 4/20 into a 6 pack. Will be potting up into gallon nursery pots this week and in the tent. So far 1 a bit shorter, 4 about even and 1 a bit taller. 18 hours on lights with 50% coco / 50% miracle grow soil to start off. Straight rainwater thus far. I'll post a grow eventually.
Post sexing they will end up in 5 gal fabric pots using 3 coco/ 1 perilite and h3adz GH nutes recipe.

Oaseeds is OK, I just need to fix the PW. There are a half dozen strains I want to add. Can't really blame Dubi after what happened to Gypsy. I wish he would start selling through seedbay, as that is a great place to get gear, logistics wise.
i'm behind on news ,what happend to Gypsy?
