Greatest Rap Album

I Used To Grow

Active member
We have the greatest rock album thread, now for the greatest Rap album.

Here's a few of my favorites:

NWA-Straight Outta Compton
Dr.Dre-The Chronic, The Chronic 2001
Eminem-The Slim Shady LP
Snoop Dogg-Doggystyle
OutKast-All of their albums are great!

I know there are many more from some great rappers, but I just don't know the names of their albums.

There's prolly KRS One, Public Enemy, The Fugees, Grandmaster Flash and some others.

Yes IMHO Public Enemy's "Yo! Bum Rush The Show" is groundbreaking.....it is not
nearly appreciated enough as a work of art....

I believe the Wu Tang Clan "Enter the 36 Chambers" would have to be on the list
as well.....RIP ODB aka Dirt Dogg aka Big Baby Jesus.....

The Pharcyde's "Bizarre Ride to the Pharcyde" is also a complete work of artistry....

Right on Truecannabliss. Immortal is one of my favorites.

It's kinda hard for me to list which album is the best but the one that had the most impact on me would be Public Enemy-It takes a nation of millions to hold us back.

Just some albums I love.
Eric B & Rakim - Paid in full
Nas - Illmatic
Dr. Dre - The Chronic

Wiggers :pointlaug

The Coup - Steal This Album or Genocide & Juice Great smart lyrics with funky beats. When it comes to engineering albums, no one has shit on Boots from the coup.

I'm willing to admit that when provoked I smoke to cope
But if I didn't take a toke, I'd be leadin' a street revolt
So I make a mental note, and to my frustration
I decide I can't do shit about the situation
Put the spliff to my lips, flick the bic and it's on hit..
Coulda been my last blunt... but I can't quit
Cause then I have to deal with, some motherf**kin' real shit

Honorable mentions

Public Enemy - It takes a nation of millions to hold us back & Yo bumrush the show or Fear of a Black Planet.. Oh yea PE made great stuff! Boiiiiiiiii!

Eazy-E & NWA - Tha worlds most dangerous group! Definetly in mofukkin' effect nahmsayin'

Mac Dre - Young Black Brother Rest in peace!

ICP - The Great Milenko yea yea u can boo me for this one, but i love this CD. Better then eminem :bat:

Ready to Die is a classic, but there is no question Puffy ruined Biggie.

Not to be rude bad ticket but comparing ICP to Eminem? C'mon
They look like a bunch of asses and lyrically they couldn't hold Em's nuts.

Let me add a couple more.

U can be rude man. I didnt write their music.. Nor am i a pro critic.
Eminem might be better lyrically yea, but i cant stand him either or what he is about. He just can't take a joke.
Not to mention he starts a lot of fights, but doesn't finish em..
Take a look at his beefs..
He was dissing on a lot of rappers (Ev from Dilated peeps, ICP, Everlast, Esham & NATAS to name a few) but when they started firing back, Em started to diss ppl he felt were more on his level, like Timberlake, Britney and Aguilera. Proly for that main stream popularity to sell more records to his focus group. 14 year old wigger kids who live wid their moms and sell peanuts as crack at the local youghurt bar or sumtin..

All the fake stuff.. Rolling around with a gun thats not loaded.. Well..
He is just soft. Granted that ICP are a bit goofy, but so what..
So am i :pointlaug

Atleast their gimmick is better then Eminems
:woohoo:
