Grape Ape

Very Nice UsualSuspect. I've just started running some GA. Does she stretch much ?

Thanks, No she does not stretch much at all

The Grape Ape I have is an extremely slow during veg and I have tried to get her sped up using a bunch of different pot sizes to finally come to the bright conclusion; Grape Ape is just a slow vegger or least the pheno I have. Grape Ape needs alot of time for the roots to adequately fill the larger size pots that are needed in order to maintain a decent yield. Plants that are not properly anchored will give you 14-21 grams no matter how big the pots are. Conversely once Grape Ape has filled out the pot with proper root growth and has a nice thick stalk yields can be obtained, with all other environmental conditions considered.

Been running GA for about 3 years after searching for a good purple for years, it is by no means a heavy yielder but she is desirable for so many different reasons namely the extremely pugent euphoric purple aroma, while being grown, dried, cured and smoked, really makes you want to lick your fingers. Whilethough Grape Ape is not overly potent it is extremely Pugent, Example: In a room with 10 joints lit of various strains Grape Ape seems to cut through the fog. With a flavor that is really hard to match.

No Grape Ape is not really all that potent but it is far from weak (daytime-Go to Traffic Court high). I find the taste/Flavor at around 50 days is more candied purple like a grape bubble gum flavor while at 55+ she tends to have the more purple wine overtones that most associate with the Purples most of us know and love.

Good Info from all of the Vets, now if only we could scratch and sniff on IC.

Reckon- Always interesting perspective I will be tuned in to your grows keep us posted in this thread I dont think Easy would mind.

my cal, blueberry, and others... how long did u veg ur ga for, what size pots, and what were the yields per plant and per light?
thanks!

It's a true California strain developed by Eddy Lepp. Grape Ape is the original and Purple Urkle is a pheno of the Grape Ape. Ken Estes crossed grape Ape with Salmon Creek Big Bud and developed Gran Daddy Purple. They are all closely related 'cousins' and run true to their indica roots barely reaching 3 feet tall in most cases. Stretch is minimal and all are characterized by a fine grape taste. Growth is slow in veg and although the clones are available they are always in limited supply. GDP has the potential to yield the highest but all require an extended veg time.

Eddy Lepp did NOT create grape ape. Grape Ape is Afghani x Skunk #1

grape is in the cannabible it says it only exists as a clone now maybe grape is a parent i have got this bud in western mass and it was quite delectible

Lol. You sure about that?

absolutely sure. there are some out there who call their strains grape ape even though its not to mark up the price; there are some out there who have a cross of the grape ape; and some who don't know WHAT they have.
the grape ape in the cannabible is the Afghani x skunk #1
its possible that your grape ape is a phenotype or cousin of the grape ape in the cannabible.

I have seen 2 separate people claim to have the sour grapes, with each strain being VERY DIFFERENT crosses.
the bay area sour grapes is NOT the same as apothecary genetics sour grapes. Same name, with different mothers AND fathers.

to be more specific:

the bay area sour grapes is purple elephant x Chemdog/sour diesel

apothecary genetics is sour diesel x grape ape

Like how you edited out this part (the true part of the question that needs answering that is why you compared two completely different strains, then went back and actually changed your post):
the bay area sour diesel is NOT the same as apothecary genetics sour grapes. Same name, with different mothers AND fathers.
I will let you post the Propaganda that you post and will no longer respond to your posts, you will learn over time.

Blessings

I humbly thank you for pointing out that I typed "diesel" instead of "grapes" in my previous post, and after acknowledging my mistake, I edited my post so as to not confuse anyone else.

My ORIGINAL POST should have read "the bay area sour grapes is different than apothecary genetics sour grapes."

I certainly hope that because I didn't preview my post before I clicked submit that I will not be labeled a "propogandist." I will remember to preview my posts in the future so as to not offend you.
Once again, my humble apologies.

many blessings to you in return.
