Whats your recipe for soaking your RW ?

soaking rockwool
per gallon
4 mils micro
6mils bloom
2 drops (not droppers) of household bleach
1 gram chitosan (optional)
0.5 mil superthrive

P.H. 5.5-5.8

soak 1.5" rockwool and then squeeze out a just few grams for the right moisture level. shouldnt be drippy when holding it.

dip the cuts an inch or so in 20 x dillution of
dip-n-grow for 5 seconds.

put in a clear tote on a layer of (moistend with solution) perlite. keep lid on snug for the first 24 hours and slowly star cracking lid. give each cube space and dont crowd. prune big leaves i half and maintain proper moisture level.no crowded clumps of wet overlapping leaves.


put clear office tote on heat mat set to 75-78.

foliar feed with watered down nutrients for either bloom or grow after 5 days or when ever they look like they start to fade even a little bit.
t-5 half an 8 bank on at 2.5-3.5 up off the clones.
works great.
dont forget the bleach when you mix up nutes to remoisten cubes.

ust use th same solution to do so. you can also use this formula as a your foliar feed ftw. dont let em fade.

11th day in coco.
Clear cups let you see the roots and no hurry to transplant.
These were probably ready day 8.
I had used RW cubes for 23+ years with great success and occasionally Oasis cubes during cooler times only as they dry much quicker and easy to lose all cuts.

August this year I had a problem with either RW or in one of my veg rooms.

That is some kind of worm protruding from cube and only appeared after dunking entire tray in H2O2, hydrogen peroxide.
Can't say what it is or where it came from but 150 Blue Dream, The White, and GG4 cuts were thrown out after 2 weeks w/o rooting.
These were present in every cube in 3 different trays so cut losses and ditch the victims, move on.

Friend here on IC recommended just coco in clear cups.

I follow same procedure except no cubes, just coco.
Cheap ass clear usually 7 or 9oz cups from any supermarket, clipping holes or slices in bottom for flow and they're good to go.
More pliable cups are easy to deal with, crystal type are too rigid so drill is needed.

Prep medium w very light Rhiz or Roots Excel or similar and let drip dry.
Slice cut at 45 degree angle, preferably with a node near slice as they root very easily.
Remove most foliage but not all, haha.
Dunk stem in Dip.n.Grow AFTER lightly scraping stem area to be buried and insert in cup w coco.
Light pack with fingers and done.
Don't touch for 4 or 5 days and do not add water.
Unless very warm and dry the coco will hold moisture for many days.
When the coco begins to dry then feed very lightly with same.
Ph the water at all stages, of course.

I don't see a difference if directly under T5 or off to side of larger lights.

Rarely do I lose one and these in foto above are in 60 degree room, more or less, with NO dome but on heating pad.
Of course 75 degrees is best but current location is limited.

These are GG4 and have multiple trays, 24 per, all rooted and waiting for space and transfer to Hempy buckets.

Not the thread for cloning tips but all of my GG's are now done this way as well as half dozen other strains.

I've done most methods for small cuts and now prefer the coco as they'll be in coco after rooting.
Aero is also fairly easy as long as water temp is stable.

Just my take on it.

i soak them in 350ppm A&B Base only. Really helped the speed of rooting as well as the amount of roots. seems to shoot a lot more roots i use the 2'' rockwool cubes

Very interesting reading what others do to root. I have never used food to root clones. I just put in some RW and RR that I soaked in 150ppm of grow nutrients. The water cloner is the best at keeping the clones from wilting. RR or RW will if you don't mist them for the 1st day or 2.

I finished the night with some Elmer's glue, blue widow and gg4. The Elmer's is frosty and similar to gg4, maybe a tad whiter looking. Didn't smell as much and the flavor wasnt really there,, but could be the cure from whoever grew it. Potency is up there for sure.

As for the prices, they are high but that's typical of dispensaries in this state. I usually wouldn't pay, but I had to try me some Elmer's glue. Nice cross relentless. Good name, good smoke.

Dispensaries want 10 gram donations minimum,, if u want flame it's closer to 20 a gram.. totally insane, lol.. it sux for true medical patients around here.. but hey, it is 2014.
