A lot of people just don't know/care how to store weed properly. I saved some of last year's outdoor harvest in mason jars in the bottom of my fridge and now, one year later it is just as good as ever.
If you stuff a glass jar full so there's no extra air inside, and store it somewhere cool and dark i think it will take a long time to turn brown
The Sour Dubb sure does hold alot of qualities in the GG4. I can see the resemblance.

I think 3 weeks is about perfect too. Its not that the color changes after that you just lose a bit of the greasy terp amazing quality. Ive been kind of enjoying my lazy headstash though, big leafed but not trimmed, just clean up each nug as I smoke it. Isn't a game changer exactly, might be just the fact that im disturbing the nug, but it seems terpier than normal given the age.
I know my c99 pineapple pheno smelled amazing after two months. Around like the 4 month mark she started to lose that pungent pineapple smell until you broke a bud open.

thats why i use the IFC method for my buds,individually flame cured right in the bowl by the customers!
It's weird, I remember a thread with an identical first post but under a different name... weird like I said but probably a reason for it.... anyway, some kind soul had mercy but sadly it was during a recent (and ongoing cold spell) and does not look like it will survive. I guess my dreams have been put on hold yet again but I will keep dreaming!

I was never one much for curing. I'd sweat any additional moisture that may be held for about a week of burping - but actual curing...the only way that happened is if it just took me that long to smoke something.
@PF - great looking Dubb - some of the best smoke on the face of the planet right there!!!
Keep that one close...won't be a problem when you taste her. You'll see right away where the Glue gets her trippyness from - as the Dubb has the same effect multiplied. She carries you away mentally. I think you'll find her REALLY beneficial.

40 days and 40 nights.
I hang mine fresh no big leafing or nothin chop n hang. No heat maybe fandom low in the room but not pointed. Exhaust 4" constant flow dialed down to 75% power. After about 10-14 days the bud is almost dry but the main stems are squishy. Throw in a plastic bin and let the hydroscopic nature of the dryer herb balance humidity our of the stem to tempos ten herb remove bin lid for a couple hours repeat a few times over a day or two. Box cure. When the scissors hit it it's almost too moist to keep a joint lt. Almost but it will stay lit. Then it goes in the bag. Open for a few hours before it leaves my hands and it's perfect. Stays that way for a while if I seal it and keep it dark and cool. But I can't keep it around longer than week with the glue so who knows. Has anyone ever seen a dry gg bud sit for more than a week. Mine is susceptible too infestation in the bag by wealthy conneseur weed snobs. The just decimate perfectly museum quality herb in a matter of days. But they excrete 20's as a by product.
If I keep getting phenos clone only's this good it's gonna be hard to find room to run my seeds. I really like doing that. For me its like XMAS I don't know what I'm getting. I get to watch how they progress into something special or something to trash. There's no doubt the Sour Dub is going to be some fine cannabis.. BIG SHOUT OUT TO MY GOOD FRIEND THAT LAID HER ON ME.
Curing is over rated I personally love the flavour fresh off the vine after a week or two hanging.

As long as you dry it properly Curing for a long time is unnecessary IMO.
I feel you on that one, I love myself a Pheno hunt for the best lady I can find. I got my GG4's a few weeks back and
really like how fast she is in Veg but still haven't flowered her out.
Clones fill the jars with something you know you'll love - but seeds keep the passion alive and keep it a hobby. There will always be something about the unknown and mystic of potential in a pack of seeds...
Reminds me of being a kid all over again...when you FIRST start to tear open a pack of baseball cards and you slowly go through them...that anticipation of something great being right behind the next card in the stack.
It's a hard feeling to replicate - but I've found seeds provide that many times over. Will they sprout...YES 10/10...how many females...4/10...veg time...watching the nuances in the plants...then flower...those first 4 weeks as they start to show their potential in stack and early frost production...then again at harvest when the resin start hitting your fingers and new smells creep out of it again...and then again when you FINALLY get to smoke it and see if it's all it's cracked up to be...
The whole process of sorting seed is the that thrill of the unknown...I'll never stop sorting new seeds. As long as I'm growing, there will be room for the hunt!!!

I have a 15g smart pot I will be doing another Dubb in.. Long veg + room for her roots to grow should be a nice plant when done. I only have 1 pot this size. The last time I did this with gg#4 I could not move it to heavy for me to manipulate so I don't do it very often..
