I am running some GG#4 x Chem sis plus have 2 GG#4 x fbpk going as well. All are young but I think I have a beastly male out of the gg#4 x fbpk that reeks. He is also growing extremely fast.
They got burnt up by bunk coco and now they are recovering but that male is beAsting even after the coco debacle. 1100 ppms at runoff on a freshly broken up block of roots organic shaking my head. I think it's a male anyways because of how fast this thing is growing.

Which do you prefer? Myself, I'll take a freshly dried glue over a cured one all day. Not true with all strains, some I think mellow nicely with a good cure but I don't want the glue mellowed.

my strawberry cream cured blows anything ive ever smelled out of the water by 10x. (ive been smoking for 25 years, and have smoked buds from all over the USA, and Canada + mexico). as soon as you open the jar, you get a "Mike Tyson" knock out to the smell o'factory glands. lol same with the glue, just not as potent of an aroma as the strawberry.
I think curing brings out more of the smells and flavors of the herb, vs smoking hung/net dried buds. and after time, it smooths out the smoke. kind of like aging fine wine. I have 30+yr old bottles that wouldn't in a million years taste as good as if I had opened them when they were made.

KKSC has a powerfull strawberry-earthy aroma. Pungent as all hell. Anything thats X'd to the KKSC will more than likely take on a strong strawberry smell.
After looking at that pic are you sure the Glue didnt get mold, because the trichs shouldnt turn brown. My Glue stays metalic silver/ocean green, even after 4 months.

ive seen hundreds of other growers meds that have been jar cured for 2+ months and looks exactly the same.

Mine wont last that long. its all gone withing 2 weeks

I don't know about that description of KKSC = to me she was always just a sweet / hazey type of smell. I never, ever got a distinctive "strawberry" smell with her.
I know she can breed nuances of such - but the cut itself is mostly just a sweet hazey mild spice...

One of the main purposes of curing is to remove the chlorophyll, so wouldn't it make sense that a longer cured specimen would be less bright green?

no i don't like oxidized brown weed. all weed has chlorophil and turning your weed gold and stale makes the weed old and stale. fresh yet properly cured is going to contain the better flavor repine content and flavor. oxidization and time are your enemies and they work in tandem. i don't know why people think old brown weed is more desirable. it looses smell the smell also changes and the theca turns int a breakdown product. people the 70s are over we don't do shit like that anymore. wake up smell the terps and smoke it while its bomb.

the magic number for pretty much every strain I've worked with is 3 weeks from chop, that is absolute prime imho. I tend to prefer my herb closer to the fresh side than the long cure, as str8 said, the terps really seem to degrade after about 8 weeks in jars.
