yes very good advice stoney. i still only bank on 1-1.5 per light and take overages as a bonus. maybe i was being a smartass del, if i came across that way i apologize. right there is someone pulling 3 per horizontal. im willing to bet the key words in his room are gavita and overlap, but 3 per is amazing. if you wanna pull three lbs off a light, easiest way is start learning vert! your still gonna have to be on awesome, but you might as well start...

anyway, good morning glue gang! didnt drop off any pics from yesterdays update so heres a few...

It's cool, thank you guys very much for putting me straight. It may be hard or even unlikely but that's my goal I'm going to try it anyway. I'm in a 9x18 sealed room with gavita knock offs and Co2. This was my first run so I only ran 1 light but I have a total of 4 for when I am ready to scale up. My environment is pretty legit so I should be able to do pretty good in there in theory.

After listening to all of you guys though I am not even going to worry about yields I think I will hit 1-1.5 right out of the gate. Anything higher will be a bonus. But that being said I need to work on quality first. Your guys photos look awesome, definitely a few steps above mine in the quality department. When I post pictures of my weed I want it to look more white than green like your guys. Mine is also more leafy. I need to figure out what caused that and fix it too.

This time around I ran my temps and humidity high even through flower. I followed a VPD chart most of my grow and had it steady. I only introduced Co2 after flowering for 2 weeks. What temps and humidity are you guys doing to get buds that look like that? Does GG4 even like high temps and humidity? I figured they all do so I tried it.

i've never even looked at a VPD chart ..... & sealed rooms with C02 ..... i've never had a room that i could seal up properly & the initial cost to set one up ..... WOW !!!

i go passive & keep my RH low in flower & high in veg , temps never go over 80 if i can help it ...... & i think i do just fine with what i have to work with .
i'm no pro by any means !! but i keep the bills paid with a few bucks extra to be able to finally enjoy somethings in life that i've never been able to afford raising a family ..... & i have plenty of dank bud to smoke whenever i want !

work on the quality & not the quantity , keep your expectations low & your work ethics high & you'll never be dissapointed !!! :tiphat:

Del your environment will change dramatically when you add the heat from the other lights and moisture from 3 more plots of plants.
As long as you are prepared with the proper equipment to maintain that environment the way you like, you will be fine.
If automated The work isn't really any different until harvest time.
Good luck

Really, I'm redesigning my space and am considering the addition of a humidifier. What rh/temp were you up too and what problems did you see?

It was way to much work trying to keep my room RH at 70%. The fluctuations caused PM witch I could not get under control. I wont spray my plants with anything so I scraped the whole VPD idea... As soon as I went back to stable 40% everything was firing on all cylinders. I have been told VPD is for sealed rooms?. I did not know this when I tried it. Since my room is not sealed getting RH that high was very hard. I could never get it stable. I was not gonna spend the $$ for new equipment to do it.

My temps and humidity run right inline with VPD. Temp 80 humidity 70%. I have a sealed room with CO2. My GG buds aren't nearly the size of some here. So that should tell ya something. I`ve been growing for 28 years and I have only hit 2lbs per a handful of times. The run below was exactly perfect, or what I would consider perfect. Packed the canopy as tight as I could get it and no issues. I got 1.7 per. I`m more than happy with that number.

Here's a vegging GG4 I just up potted in a 5 gallon 2 days ago. This is gonna be my first shot at organic soil, hopefully water only. So far so good. It's a pretty basic mix but hopefully there is enough goodies I threw in there to make it til harvest.
