Gorilla Glue #4 - Part II

I'm using a Mars Hydro 96x3 reflector series light in a 18"x24"x50" with one plant in a ~3gallon hempy bucket and have to have a seed matt under the bucket for decent temps. Once the heating mat was added growth really speed up also the watering schedule. Right now 2.5 weeks I to flower it's taking a gallon every 4-5 days.

interesting on the glue plants ... the ones with fewer top leads have slightly thicker flower development compared to the ones with more leads on them ...this tells me that the plant wants to only give so much ..no matter how U divide her up while growing
If space and height isn't an issue, the lower stem (trunk) diameter at the time of switching to flower is directly proportional to overall yield. If you want a big yield then you need a big stem. :)

If you top a plant to create multiple colas then the same principle applies to each branch. A thick branch will yield bigger buds than a thinner one.

The other factor to consider is that taller branches will always dominate over lower branches via a hormonal inhibition called apical dominance.

i'm thinking GG#4 does better pruned early then hand trained down rather then topped for multiple upright colas ...she may very well do better in a SCROG type situation rather then free standing

you peeps saw the last glue i grew i got 12+ oz' from her un topped, but bent over hard when she was young and the main lead was overtaken by the lateral branches ... these ones i'm running currently were topped very hard and then let run free ...2 completely different methods ...it'll be interesting to compare the plant yields ... >>>

Im looking at bringing another 2x 10x10 tents online.... my hope was to run 1kw of lighting per 4x4 footprint inside the tents... should I be looking at cooled single end HPS? A few years ago I was able to pull a 1.5 elbows per 4x4 Scrog area under 1kw SE air cooled light would I be able to get this using 288w light rails? Say 2x 288w led light rails per 4x4 area? There's a guy up here selling homemade led''s for 260.00 each
Newest gen3 chips from Luminus. All Meanwell drivers. Active cooled, aluminum rails with 4 chips on each. 288watts. (272w (68w per led x 4)+ 16w for fans).

no doubt in my mind ickys leds or the hlg550's would blow those cmh's out the water in yield and potency.

plus you got a fixture that is rock solid for 8+ years at 100% driver output

no bulb or ballast swaps and less power for the same footprint with more even coverage.

Ickys?
