Hi EM and crew...I dont think I told u but I planted a little cut of Goldfinger out this year geurilla style in a patch along with a Sharksbreath and a HOG...unfortunately the SB got battered by insects and slugs and the HOG got dug up by a fox(bonemeal in the soil mix...doh!)But the Goldfinger is well'ard and as far as I know(mate checked her a week ago)she is alive and well.
She is planted in a wasteland/woods within an 7 mile radius of the centre of London and has only had 1 feed and 1 water all season...We wanted to see how they did un-attended and the GF is deffo the toughest but slow to bloom so not sure if she will finish in good health but fingers crossed.
I am gonna visit her in next few days so will take some pics then! She looked much like TheHummusMonks pheno2 last time I saw her with the red stems and similar internodal characteristics.Stem smelt gorgeous but not much flowers then. Luck'n'Light JBo ;]

Thanks folks, and good to know there's more than one outdoor plant running. I think it'll finish, as long as it's fairly well protected from the elements. It's usually a 12-weeker indoors, so will be interesting to see how they cope.

4 branches (2 on each plant) have been dusted with Jlo pollen (thanks EMan)...fingers crossed it takes OK and we can get some seeds out and into the community.

GRILLA LOOSE IN UK ;]

GRILLA LOOSE IN UK ;]

Hi Goldfinger Crew,Hope u r all well. My buddy popped out to our spot to give the Goldfinger a bit of Guanakolong and carbs so he got a few pics...but they are CamFone pics so not great soz.
She's looking fine and we are still hopeful of a harvest but she's out fending for herself basically(a couple of waters and this feed is only help) She was planted quite shallowly but we noticed that berries and late summer flowers do fine around the spot so gave it a shot. She took an age to Show so we were not very hopeful but all is cool at mo'. She has a great colour for blending in with the other foliage around and cant really be seen until you are about 10metres away and only if u r looking for it. She has shown good resistance to pests, disease, damp and nute deficiencies so far + she is bloody gorgeous...Marvellous stuff
Thanks for this Beautiful Plant EM....I am as always very impressed with your selections,Nice work! :thank you: JBo ;]

Impressed you manage to do guerilla in your location, I'm in the back of beyond and not managed a guerilla grow ever, every time some dog walker, bird watcher, hiker, council worker, farmer, city kid out on his mtb for the day or bunch of kids on scramblers intervened. I've literally scaled cliffs to inaccessible ledges, trudged through deep swamps in waders to find islands of drier ground, used a rubber dinghy to get to tiny islands in lagoons and chopped down trees in the depths of the forest and every time came up with naff all due to other people. We had good weather this year and I didn't bother, you kind of get sick of wasting your time. So anyone who does manage a Uk guerilla plant with success has big props from me!

LOL Yeah its a battle for sure....This is the first(2 others we put out this year died) I've put out for a couple of years as like u say I'm not in the best locale for it. I think the main thing thats been on our side is the massive amount of stinging nettles all around that make a not very remote location(Plant is 100m from a train line and closer to pathways than you'd believe-40ft maybe)less likely to be rumbled. There are footprints that aren't ours and other evidence(dogwalker) that are only 20ft from the spot.Crazy really! Just hope she makes it and I get a wee smoke from her as I need the Persy over next few months! Ta for props JBo ;]

Here's hoping the weather holds out long enough for her to provide something tasty for ya mate.

I think a big part of it is in the country people are really nosy, I don't think city folks can really grasp just how bad it is, you can have no secrets round here!

Nice one! That looks great, and very well camouflaged. I didn't bother outdoors this year, and of course, it was much drier and sunnier - but my spot was compromised, and I was fed up with having to compete with bracken. If we have a dry-ish October, hopefully it'll produce some decent smoke.

I have a hilarious picture somewhere of my lower half from the waist down from a few years ago. I was looking for this island of higher ground in the middle of a large swamp. The swamp is in the middle of a large forest so to get to this island of dry ground you have to trail through over a mile of dense forest then through a half mile of swamp/forest. My friend and his dog were with me. We were wondering when the swamp started and we found out when I plunged into dark semi liquid med right upto the happy sacks. My mate couldn't pull me out for laughing, eventually we managed to extricate me and he snapped a pic of my lower half, I was wearing mid-grey jogging pants and both legs right upto the crotch were black, looked like I'd jumped into a vat of crude oil. His dog is white, but it came home black as well, I had to drive home without the jogging pants as no way was I getting in my car wearing them. Took two washes to get em clean!

Hyde Park, eh, sounds mental. I think the most recent case of weed being cultivated slap bang in the centre of London would have been when they found some growing in the glasshouses at Buckingham Palace, that one got blamed on some footman I seem to recall.

For next year I have a Baldrick style 'cunning plan'. There is a tiny island just off the coast that you need a boat to access unless you want to spend the night there, you can walk to it at low tide, but then you're stuck until the nest low tide. Hardly anyone goes there as there is nothing there apart from a derelict house and it's no good for fishing so no fishermen types. I'm gonna make a ton of seedballs and walk out there, seed the island, stay overnight then walk back. The hard part is gonna be getting there without being seen. A friend has a boat but I don't want to involve anyone else. One thing that might be a problem is the soil, there is hardly any, it's pretty much just sand I think, the only vegetation is a few gorse bushes and the various types of semi-succulent grasses that grow on sand dunes and I don't fancy walking out there loads of times carrying tons of soil, that would mean camping out several nights and I don't fancy being on an island on my own more than strictly necessary.

Yup, I'm a bit cracked in the head in case you were wondering, but it's one of my life goals to pull off a successful guerilla grow in this part of the world.

It always brings warm smile to my face when I see nice guys cooperating on little projects like this, nice one guys. Goldfinger is rather nice and has a lot of unique properties in my experience. Only thing I didn't like about it is the mouth drying property of the pheno I had as a cutting, you definitely need some liquid to drink when toking the goldfinger, this is a minor downside though and worth putting up with to sample it's very complex and rich palette of flavours, it's so far from the usual skunky weed that is everywhere these days that everyone should give it a shot as it shows people just how different weed can be from the run of the mill boring bland skunks. It's a connoiseur level smoke for sure, subtle, complex, exotic, quite special imho.

I was rooting through my seeds the other day and discovered I think I have a vial of the original Goldfinger f1 seeds, the label says MG x Flo so I think they are the initial Malawi/Flo mating that was later given the name Goldfinger. I should pop em sometime soon, i know there will be some interesting plants to play with.
