well i finally got round to making some baguette on saturday. I had intended to enjoy it with some nice camembert and liver pate but sadly the cheese had expired and was not good for consumption anymore. But luckily I still had the pate and something else. I usually only do this sort of thing at around christmas / new years (day) but...
the result was that I ate far too much bread ( I normally don´t eat any bread at all!)

here´s a pic - one of them ended up longer than it normally would so I had to put it in diagonally which was fine. The end bit on teh right one looks worse in thepicture than it actually was btw

today was unhealthy again- spaghetti with porcini sauce (too bad I had no white wine) and some grano padano. It tastes much better with parmesan but hey ...

tomorrow has to be healthy food again !

Looking tasty, I would take a slice or two 😜 along with some paté please
I´m pretty sure you´d have enjoyed it as well. :)
These thing s are a bit of a pain to make but they´re well worth it imo. SO much better than the rubbish offered in shops.
I´m considering baking a regular bread using the baguette technique . I wonder how it would turn out ??

I always liked the carry-on films

I'm having Heineken for dinner. Then I might toast some bloomer.

home-canned green beans, mashed taters, and my wifes cornbread slathered with butter. a meal like my grandmother used to whip up while we were baling hay back in the day...
