Syd I chopped her today. She was cut at soil level. Not a tall girl at all. I am happy with her all the same. I have never had a plant that was all bud before. I started her in flowering at about 8" tall. I cut off 3 large fan leaves and the sugar leaves I pruned off. Wouldn't have made a good joint.:thank you: Peace

I have a question!

She needs about 14-16 weeks of flower,so we're talking about mid-late January.Let's assume that she gets away with some low temps and high humidity. Is there going to be a problem with flowering after the winter solstice? With light hours ascending ?I think there isn't going to be a problem, given length of dark will still be more than enough (+cold temps),but I'd like to hear an opinion.

Oye, syd!
Have ever heard of light deprivation?
I guess that would drive your worries away...about that fanciful sheila of yours...
Patch up a cannacondom and you'll be an Ace... :)

Hola Orfeas!

I thought about that, but my schedule is going to make it difficult to cover it every day on the same time. What seems more probable, although morbid,is life deprivation

Amother thing I wanted to discuss about GT,is that I had weird discolorations from seedling stage, first true leaves actually. The same with her sister I grew during last grow. This is not a pest,I've checked with an electronic mic many times.
The pattern in the third picture is something I've encountered on many plants and some people link it with Tobacco Mosaic Virus.I never had any problems with such plants, although IME most of them depict some or more mutations. What I'm more interested in are the little discolorated spots.Has anyone else had them on GT?I can dig for past pics ,too...

Sorry about the footwear

Have you scoped all leaves or just the affected ones? Why it looks as if a thrip or two have practised their bloody grazing skills...
If it's that particular virus then... kalostadechtikes!

Yes,I've checked!Even new leaves come out this way. They look very much with thrip damage when you see it for the first time. Some other white spots are from the fuzzy tying ropes.I'd lean to your conclusion, but I think not for three reasons.
First,it's the only one affected (but this could be because the others are immune to the virus).
Second and most important, her sister had the same discolorations during the last grow.I have read that there are cannabis virii passed to seeds...But I've never read from anyone with that kind of problems with GT.That being said,I do bet that if I started another GT from the same pack ,she would show me the same ...
Third, she has the mutations and TMV-like pattern(the last had also some curved leaves).Of course, some TMV symptoms are confused with BM symptoms ...:comfort: We can only hope that with the change of legal status in US,we will be able to discern some things...

Of course, there is always the possibility that I "kalostadechtika"

yea new years eve ..2017... these ladies never want to finish... our last one went 148days, could have gone longer, but needed the room... we now have the same lady (cutting) at 115days and going to let her take as much time as she needs...

hey syd..yea I thought our 1st and 2nd grow was just 'ok' smoke... even after a cure of a couple months.. dubi was kind enough to send me a pack of the 1st (2013?) fem'd seeds.. that's what we have going at the moment.. i'll get some pics up over the weekend, we are around 115+days .. also took a cutting and have it outdoors.. not so large, but some nice ,getting fatter buds.. hoping we can keep it going for another month..if the weather holds out...

Hey Zach.... I had read about your previous attempt at GT.
At that time I speculated you had let them go far, far too long.
I had done GT 3 times previous from 2013 seeds and had spectacular results. But at 9-10 weeks I had cut light back to 10.5 hours, 11 hours one time.
Finished all 3 times under 90 days, 87-89 days.
So when I saw the times you took them, I thought hey wayyyy too long.
But had no proof. So...... I left a run at 12/12 last time to test.
Took at 108 days, low end of your times...
Sure looked more "done", more "ripe" = looked just killer.
Was very excited to smoke with a couple friends who were excited to try. Looked better but was not even close. I knew right away that it was too long as there was none of that racy feeling of a too early pick - the opposite, lethargic feeling of overdone sativa.
At 12/12, they just keep spitting out new pistils. I think, no matter how many times you run it and how many seeds Dubi sends you, your results will be the same.
Turning the light back I think is essential to get the desired trip results. My previous GT got some friends to rush out and get some ACE seeds . Possibly the best, or close to, I have ever smoked. :tiphat: And I smoked some of the finest in my lifetime.
Just what I experienced, if it can help you - hope so. Good luck

Very interesting info Ready4! I plan on harvesting mine around Christmas,12-13 weeks after pistils.

Only thing I'm not sure is if the light she's getting is adequate...Maybe that's the reason she has only 3 tip leaves after flower ?Hopefully Dubi will answer that when he's back.

Resin started showing up... :)

How long are you vegging the Golden Tigers? A lot of people say 60 days minimum, but that 75 days veg is better. Growers claim the potency can reach its full genetic potential by a long veg time for sativas.
Peace!

Glad to hear you're gonna extend the veg days and I hope you get that extra "bang" by doing so.
Also, do you have a grow log for your Golden Tiger grow or do you just post here?

Can't wait for the updates!
