Tang, Did you grow the Reg or Feminized GT? I apparently had a massive Thai Pheno. I DWC and It's whole life cycle, maybe 25 mil of nitrogen. The Thai just claws up with N. But I got to say it surpassed my expectations. I've smoked Regular, but it was totally different. We had a monster plant. It was some of the best speedy, Euphoric, good time weed. It gave me memories. And it smells beautiful, even before the cure. We smoked it for 4 months and works everytime. Tang question. How long does it take these tall spindly ones to start getting resin. The fatter one (carrot smell) has good resin. I'm tripping on the the looks of these spindly buds. It reminds me of Kona Sativa in the early 80's.
Zach I am the last person to be giving advise but I count from the day the real buds start to emerge not the preflowers. It takes about 2 to 3 weeks from 12/12 for mine to really start flowering, thats when I start counting. Even then I go more by how they look. I grew Aces Malawi and took them at 12, 13 and 14 weeks and they were way to early. As I used an organic bud stimulant it probably adds another 3 to 4 weeks I now realise. i am learning all the time, growing under lights is a lot different to outdoors, but it enables me to manipulate the flowering as I hope to do with my Zamal that has just started flowering now 3 weeks after 12/12 I have her on 11/13 at the moment and she is liking it. I will start counting from this week but only as a reference I will take her when she looks ripe all yellow leaves.hey tangwena... the time is from when we went 12/12... I don't remember the veg period, but we veg long, sometimes 60days...
the pics were from our 1st go with GT... we weren't sure how long to go, so we picked at 3 diff times... the heads at 110/120days were all clear, even at 148days few were cloudy.. interesting u think they were immature.. another poster thought we picked em way tooo late... we'll have another go with em later this year..
All the feminized GT pheno's are good. I personally grew the Thai dominant, giant colas. The high is better than the double thai or Std GT. All 3 pheno's are killer you can't go wrong. The Thai pheno takes a few weeks more, but worth it.
I can only vouch for the Thai Pheno. And from what I'm hearing that's the one you want, but they're all killer. The Thai is also a huge yielder Growing it outdoors would be unbelievable. The high is real energetic, I would actually pace the floors looking to do something, and it's really euphoric. I smoked the Std version, and the fem is better in all respects. Too me this is some of the best weed I have smoked in a long time. Outdoors, probably mid to late November, I would say. Also watch the N, and don't go by trich color. Also, no tolerence limit. I still get high 4 months later and that's smoking 3-4 times a day
You will know almost after a few weeks if you have the Thai Pheno, because it is touchy big time with N. The leaves will claw with just a little nitrogen. Be careful. I don't think the others are so sensitive. The high is nothing like the Regular GT. I think it's some of the best weed Dubi has had, if you ask me. It's the only weed so far, that I say "I remember that feeling". I thought it was just because I was getting old. But it's the weed.
