First pheno dried and sampled, fermented fruit taste mixed with something resinous, very very potent but potency is more "raw" and in your face without the mood brightening and well being than panama haze offers for example. I wonder if the more Thai influenced phenos will be kinder in effect.

Don't take me wrong, I love it but can see how this one can wreck someone with low tolerance.

Last bud of this got smoked yesterday, all gone fresh... addictive.
It's a tight situtation haha

I kept a clone of the longest flowering one plus I'll try to reveg the middle one. This was fastest by far, 2-3 weeks difference. Next one coming down tomorrow.

Be sure I have been drooling over yours and other users cobs for a long time, I think the time is close to make my first cob and see what it's about! Thanks for the suggestion.

It's now 9 1/2 weeks for my flowering room at 10.45/13.15 and I've spotted all the keepers from my 36 plants, a few require a second grow due to grow conditions screwing up this initial run, i see which plants take the most cold damage and thrive, one's aroma in particular is like maple syrup spiced liquor or something fermented like mead, another is a pheno smelling of Mango gin with a similar pheno male counterpart), another is the rotting garlic/onion fleshy pheno which stink lingers definitely using for f1' with funky males! another pheno is Mandarin orange Spice, slightly sweet, like the tea I enjoy. I've found the pineapple phenotype i found last time too, if it goes pineapple-blueberry like the last time then I'll definitely want to make f1s with it too, so long as it smokes nice.
So much potential locked away in these genetics, I'm glad I found virtually all of the best phenos from 2018/19! And possibly better representations of each too.

Hey Dubi,
the plan is to keep them indoors in a 90x90 space and to finish in late june, but i feel it's unrealistic. Flowering plants from seeds, not clones.
The main idea was to have one GT in a 40L pot, veg for 3 weeks(17/7) and flower under 12/12 schedule, finish with 11/13.
Late june finish would be ok as temps hit 30+ and get up to 35+ in july and august. If GT could handle 35°C then it could go in july.
Hoping for a nottoo hot summer.

Also there will be two BangiCongo x Panama very close, in a smaller tent. Those should finish in end june, probably.
Will post more in a dedicated thread, when i sort some other trouble out.

Cheers
Hola Koondense, the flowering and photoperiod schedule you have in mind is correct. If your limit is 90 cms then don't flower them bigger than 30 cms from seed, they can stretch a lot from seed as you can imagine, although it depends also on the pheno, Malawi leaning phenos are easier to tame, Thai dominants require more control of their height.

Thanks for your support iTarzan :smoke: much aprpeciated. Looking forward to follow your GT grow!

Looking very resinous and dangerous reaching their last third part of flowering Dentex :p How is she on the nose at this point ?

Wonderful looking buds JustGrowing420  Really well grown and well developed, very resinous and with excellent flower/leaf ratio.
Glad you got a variety of phenos to experience. Golden Tiger is never a kind or gentle sativa, it's always mind blowin, even trip-weed with the right pheno properly grown and cured. The Thai phenos launch your mind to another planet like a skyrocket.

Hi Shua1991 glad you are excited so far with all the different phenos you are finding in your GT regular selection. The elite ones are (imo) those that stand out for excellent resins, flower/leaf ratio and terpenes (in or other way, depending on your personal preference in this regard), with the outstanding Malawi's raw potency and super long lasting experience, and a enhanced Thai trippy effect.

I just did a sniff of my pineapple pheno, it doesn't have any berry to it, instead, it matured into a rotting pineapple funk, most trichomes are cloudy, around 65%, I will take it another week, maybe two before harvesting. Very fast maturing, hardy plant. It's growing in a 1 gallon pot and survived a pretty bad cold spell in early flower but recovered somewhat, I know under perfect conditions this plant will be able to produce the sticky rounded flowers like last time.

The mango/carrot Gin pheno is probably the best one among the bunch on resin production, coated in fat trichome heads with small stalks, this is also the hardiest plant in the bunch and the heaviest yielding, it doesn't stretch too much either, simar to the male that grows and smells like it.

This is the rotting garlic/onion meat pheno, more thai dominant in structure, needs lots of support.

This pheno is the maple spice pheno, lighter yielding, could use some early topping and training.

And lastly the mandarin spice pheno, one of the more cold tolerant plants.

Im growing two males in another setting but I'm certain that some of their pollen got tracked in with me and now these girl are going to produce seeds 🙃, the best smoking girls are first to have their offspring grown.

Another 3-4 weeks before these are all harvested, then their clones will be grown out under proper conditions, low ferts to avoid burns, more soil aeration to avoid root rot and a few soil ammendments I didn't use this grow that I know to use next time.

Wow  @Shua1991 impressive resin production and trichome size, very New Killer style! I really like the look and sound of your GT 2 selections from the regular release.
Beside the resins, another big improvement on Golden Tiger 2nd version (compared with first version) is that very interesting terpene profiles are easily found, while first version was very rude in terpenes (like straight Old Malawi Killer does), it required to add the Koh Chang Thai and New Killer Malawi to the blend, and combine the parental plants in different way to make shine the desirable traits (and hide the non desired ones).

Excited to see you in this project and with the promising results, pics are also stunning. Thank you very much :respect:

2 golden tigers I've been running for about a year, the first one is quite a bit finicky, bud is airy, smell is very light (kinda blueberry before it gets deep in flower), but effect can amphetamine like after a few months cure.

The second one has huge trichomes, and has a maple syrup / brown sugary lemon smell, and is quite a bit stronger of a smell that 1st one, also finishes faster. It's a good all around smoke, good for just about anything.

These were from a pack of regs.
