Did you take those closes simply by placing cuttings in the dirt? I've run into a brick wall with my bubble cloner, which worked with about 50% success at first but now has a 100% failure rate even after sterilizing the setup repeatedly with bleach. Four runs in sequence and all clones died in the bubble cloner, so on to better things for this mad scientist.

The idea of simply taking cuttings and rooting them directly in dirt sure does appeal to me now. Am I right in assuming that this is exactly the way you create clones?

Hi. I clone in small 1.5 × 1.5 Rockwool cubes. From the manufacturer Grodan. The ones that are also sold with the black artificial planter. And slices of pepper in a steamer. I've been doing this for years ... I never spray them and I use a powder stimulant from the Czech manufacturer Stimulax. Gels are not so good ..... If anything, calm down Pm .... I also had very good results in the sand. If it doesn't spice you, it means that you have some molds or fungi in the environment ..... Maybe I helped a little ..... Then sometimes I'll show my GT, which I now focus on .....

In case anyone was embarrassed about their GT grows.....check this out :shucks:

I have pulled much of the dead growth off already and added some worm castings to the surface and started watering with bat poo bloom
They are growing in standard budget potting mix and at about day 85 of flower
Not sure of their light requirements and the room is about 30°c through the day and humid
Any insights and advice will be appreciated as I may do another grow or a cross, unless people think I shouldn't be allowed to :D

Thanks in advance for the advice

I too got my ass handed to me, growing in Coco under a 250hps, 12/12 from seed. Every hybrid I grew prior came out fine, I thought I was an ok grower. Mine looked worse than yours.

Last year grew it out side, didn't do a thing other than tie it down to try and prevent it getting spotted from space. I now have a life time supply in the freezer.

I probably won't put holes in these buckets but I will set up another grow at a time of year that's a bit cooler
I will get some fabric pots and organic soil and start over. I don't think I did enough research prior and I still have half the pack of GT seeds left over :)

That said, the three GT plants are at different stages and I'm wondering if the one below should come out?
It looks like it's starting to nana a little and the pistels are looking a bit like it's nearing the end even though the trichomes are still white
The arrows point to what looks like the start of nanas and the plant looks to be struggling in general. I don't think seeds are forming but there is something weird going on
I might just have to chalk it up to experience and move on, or should I wait a bit longer?

StickyBandit, it could be root rot.
I noticed that these exotic sativas are very senstitive to overwatering. As well as nutes. Next time use a smartpot or an airpot. If you're growing in soil they might be okay without any feeding unless they'll show some symptoms. In coco or hydro I'd say stay up to 1.2EC. If you're using higher nk to p nutes even less... up to 0.8-1EC. It's always tempting to feed and water them more but moderation is the key.

Remember for sure these plants will be maturing from the bottom up....watch for that

Its not far off....never good to pull half baked bud....and it will need a cure of @ least a month once its dry....that lao and Thai genetics really need jar time

See it to the end and by then youll have even more insights on how to proceed :rtfo:

I purchased some air pots to try :)

Sounds like Golden Tiger insists on natural sunlight for massive growth, where any indoor experiments are doomed to mediocre returns at best and outright failure at worst.

Just have to know how to tame her, and find the right girls.

Some plants are not ptractical in an average indoor set up, but id wager most ARE with the right training and planning.

Ive grown all three generations, and id say the chang mai is the hardest to grow indoors because of the more thai leaning expressions are more common. And also have explosive lateral and vertical viney growth. The more thai girls just like to spread out everywheree haha. They need to be bent, tied, pinched and chopped for about 4-6 weeks of explosive growth. Anything that isn't positioned with enough space to fill in and not correctly oriented to lights should be taken off the plant if it can't be convinced to behave! Haha.

A good gen two hybrid expression will be a huge producer of magical tiger wands in any indoor set up.

I really need to soak more of these beans, she been out of the stable for too long. I just miss going to that other plain of existance this girl sends you to :biglaugh:

I really enjoy watching the grows in this thread guys. Thanks for sharing.

All 36 of my Golden Tiger plants are beginning flower on Monday, so about 48 hours until 11/13. About 3 weeks from now I'll be able to spot the males and separate for pollen retrieval, a few clones es will be ready to make seeds by then so in 6-7 weeks I'll have pollenated clones and they will be ready for harvest around the same time as the females. (14 weeks from now)

Though the plants look like crap the buds are fattening up well :)
Thanks for the advice

Hey, and its good smoke that matters....I bet it will be

Amazing how these sativas can have burst @ the end and put out some fat buds

The S.A.G.E. is like that last 2 wks

I can see they are going to ripen up the way the pistils are getting

I would just keep going until you start seeing ambers

You will know the perfect time to cut.....:tree:
