alright JamieShoes this ? is for you buddy. I have been reading about adam till my eyes are almost bleeding lol and I have been reading alot of distressing news, one being that alot of the weed in the dam is the same and not what it is labeled as, is this true? number 2 I keep hearing how the dams weed is subpar to cali weed, your opinion on this?
I just hate to spend 10-12k on this trip only to be diappointed...

Yes, it is true that some coffeeshops will re-label sub par strains in order to sell them to gullible tourists (many/most cannatourists don't know their arses from their elbows and as a result get ripped off). I would also point out that this is not the case for many many other reputable places. Something I'd like to add to this though, is that quality has defintely seen something of a resurgence over the last half decade or so.
Number 2 I can't answer my friend as I've never been to Cali. If this years IC Cup entries were any indication of "Cali Quality" then I would go as far as to say "no"*... but I really cannot be certain and would never try to convince someone that it was
I suppose other members might be better placed to answer that one for you mate, but I would interested to hear if US breeders such as DNA and Soma were over here, knocking out a product which would be considered sub standard back home... though can't see that being true...what you really need is the opinion of someone who's spent a good bit of time in both places

Here is what I know about glass laws..... If you have a layover in a state where glass is illigal, and they search your stuff, you could be in some trouble... But if you are flying into a state that doesnt have any laws against it, you should be ok. I am not going to chance it myself, just to be on the safe side.

Im definatley not an expert as I said before I have had what I beleive to be the real g-13 (it was grown by a close member of the family from a mother that in the early 1990's was already more than 15 years old) it tasted piney and had a knockout stone actually almost too much of a couchlock unless late at night. I also have a connect that I get good sinsemillia from and he usually has a name for it lik purple kush or snow cap or northern lights etc... but in those situations you never know if they are the real deal or not. That being said I have smoked daily for going on 18 years and been growing for just over 3 years so I think I can tell a difference between bunk and good herbs.
I feel better about the situation now thanks to your help and all the links on IC for instance I know that the Bulldog is the primo place for buds and to stay away from places like Hunters and DeDampkring which sell bunk to tourists..

I think in the last few years that "might" have changed a little as I would recommend Dampkring over Bulldog (Dampkring has nice herb lately but is expensive) anyway, I can show you some places better/cheaper than any of those mate ...

I think that you might want to rethink the idea that primo buds

The bottom line that you have to realize is: You do not have to buy
subpar weed when in Amsterdam. If a budtender shows you crap
you simply tell them you are not interested. I have already
mentioned two coffeeshops in this thread that have excellent weed
and good service (Basjoe and Greenplace). Jamieshoes swears by
Boerejongen's and sadly I didn't have time to make it in there as I
only had about 8 hours in Amsterdam.

I will say that you have to be weary about some of the reviews on
coffeeshopdirect.com. You also need to realize that there are
sometimes issues with supply that affect the quality of a
coffeeshops stock. I visited the 420 cafe otherwise known as De
Kuil which had great reviews. The budtender showed me some
nevilles haze and some blueberry both of which were unimpressive.
I still bought some because of the reviews on the site I have been
mentioning so I thought I better not judge a book by its cover.
While the blueberry had a faint odor of blueberry it definitely did not
taste of blueberry and it was a harsh smoke. As for the Nevilles
Haze that was garbage also, and I have smoked mexican brick that
was more potent and better tasting. That being said, I would stop
in this shop again but I will never buy something that looks bad
again.

The bottom line I want you to understand is that you should refuse
to buy any pot that the smell and appearance of does not excite
you. I bought shwag from 420 to learn my lesson so don't make the
same mistake as me REFUSE TO BUY ANYTHING THAT LOOKS LIKE CRAP.
WeedHead's right, I swear by Boerejongens and Bij.. there's also a couple of places in town that I "rate" but I'd rather have a quick look in before recommending them as things can differ week to week

you also have to try some rifman shit from either the dampkring or twede kammer, these are some of the best hashes in the dam! especially the habibi is worth a try

I really wish I knew if the Cali/Dam thing were true ... maybe one day I'll get to go to Cali and find out for myself... what I would mention though is it might still be easier to find hashish in the Dam if thats something that floats your boat...like HazeLover says, some of the rifmans are excellent

Well.. I was rolling 2 diff strains in 1 Joint, 1g of each.nice photos BudFather... looks like you left nothing to chance with your selections
1 strain at the top of the Joint and 1 at the bottom... I only had 2 days to sample as much weed as poss... My fav from Bij was probably Amnesia Haze
I know that rolling joints like this are a waste of weed... BUT I needed to get a good taste of the flavours.... which I did... I couldn't bring any bud home with me... so it all had to be smoked.
This is nothing to my usual 'Blunt only' trips to Amsterdam, but I quit all tobacco in 2004, including Blunt papers... so joints are my preferred smoke... I must admit, I'm now slowly moving to bongs
and it's helped me half the amount of weed I'm smoking.... Not sure if that's a good or bad thing?...Hopefully see you before the year is out JamieShoes... Im planning a trip to Dam August/September... maybe we should have a good smoke somewhere!
