These plants are looking fantastic!! I especially like the huge leaves on the Nigerian Nightmares! Thats a strain that has intrigued me time and again, I hear it is a strain that reacts strong to sudden changes in Photoperiod, its also very pretty!

I also do love different kinds experiments in growing & curing HL. Here´s my newest experiment, "sweat" dryed Neville´s Haze, check it out mon´:

The buds just after chop & trim:

And the resulted material after a week:

I wrapped them in ovenpaper right after trimming them and put them in closet for two days. After two days I removed them from the closet and let them dry on my window board in sunlight for day and back to the closet overnight and then to the window board etc. After week, I opened the wrap and saw this delightful sight. The buds have changed color dramatically and are glistening of trichomes. Smoke is very pleasant without cure, so I just have to recommend you this technique with them African genetics!

Hello there,
I'm tuned on this thread and I like it. Thank you all for sharing!

Herbalistic: I've read (OG, IC, Cervantes..) and heard many times from growers and smokers that light kills some THC and others active stuffs in the weed, even when drying.
I have no proof for that but I can easily admit it's right.
So I wouldn't recommend drying your weed under the direct sun light.

No offence, just wanna help
Keep up the good work African strains lovers!

Hi trapik, thanks for dropping by, I'm tuned into your grow as well!

Hey Herbalistic, thanks for sharing and making me jealous once again! :biglaugh:
I will be trying to produce 'cobs' using corn husks, I'm thinking I'll be yielding enough to experiment. I agree w/ trapik that sunlight degrades trichs from what i've heard.
The Neville's I've had I bought @ the Greenhouse many yrs ago. It was the most expensive and came w/ a warning, ~for seasoned smokers only~. The bag I bought looked awful! A lot of leaf and little visible trichs- looked like shwag! But of course it nailed us to our seats, w/ hallucinations off to the sides.
It was a boy's coffeeshop crawl, we left the wives to shop. It was our first stop!
We went to a few other places, tried a few more varieties, but the NH was coursing strong thru our systems, we had to chill on further smoking! Always chasing the rememberance of certain highs...

BACKCOUNTRY, always a pleasure to have you stop by! :D
The Nightmare's are just starting to flower. I kept them inside as long as I could, and was half-expecting them to start in within a few days, but they behaved and vegged a bit. Won't yield much, but I'm looking forward to the early test, and all 3 plants show variation, so that will be fun to judge!

NIGHTMARE

Hey RevolutionX, I didn't forget about ya!
I went back to check on plot #1 to see if the varmints had moved on to the unprotected plants, but all was clear. :D
They totally ignored my soap shavings, but if they attack again I'll have to try some Hinder, as I do have some. I always pee on the path entering my grow area
A few more early evening shots.
NIGERIAN IBL

EARLY DURBAN

CONGO #1

This is one of the branches I tied down yesterday. Thinking of doing it to at least one of the Power Malawi's. :chin:
Stay green & safe y'all!

Looking really good. Out of 10 Durban Poison only 5 sprouted and 3 damped off, so down to 2, praying one is female!

Are the Nigerian and Congo from reeferman?

Yeah guys, I am aware that direct sunlight can decrease thc, but what about all the traditional curing methods and the delicious & potent ganja they produce? + I dont know how much window & ovenpaper do block sun? However, I love the smoke of this, the wrap produced some crazy resin pump up also. I think it´s because the fact that they were at very humid enviroment. I have not noticed any potency loss, but backwards: potency is better now than the 7 grams I dryed with my normal method in dark and what about the smooth operator taste... :yummy:

Both Nigerian´s look awesome and should offer you some special treat HL!

Sorry to hear about your problems with Durbans British!

@->trapik: Thank you for telling this, I already knew it and it didnt offend me in any way. It´s always nice when people try to "warn" about something that can ruin your crop, so thank you for that.

oops.. my bad. It seems I forgot the ovenpaper in the closet..
The buds look very well anyway and I must admit I'd give a lot for a N.'s Haze puff!
At least I've been a kind of reminder :D

Highlighter: I especially love your nigerian/nigerian nightmare plants from Reeferman :)wink: B_H) too, and I'm impatient to see how they'll turn! I'm allways lookin for new early outdoor sativas and those are quite interesting!

Thanks for the good vibes guys and gals
Keep them green!

Now African Seeds are gone (seedsman also sourced their stock from African Seeds) a pure Durban is hard to find, DP and Sensi Durban ar both shite hybrids, Nirvana's in Durban x Skunk #1, Early Durban is a hybrid, and I won't deal with ApartheidPips so I've got two options for some more Durban goodness - two packs of Sam the Skunkman's Durban x Skunk #1 I got a couple of years ago as freebies and 6 seeds of a Durban x Tibetan sativa cross I also got as freebies from another store. No offence to Sam, but last time I tried those freebies, got I female and it hermied so not keen on those. I've grown Nirvana's Durban x Skunk a few times outside but I really wanted the pure item. I wonder what happened to African Seeds? There is a huge untapped source of quality genes in Africa, shame so few are available to buy these days.

Hi BH! The Congo's are ACE's, both Nigerian's are Reef's.
African Seeds folded after gov't pressure following the Emery & Heaven's Stairway busts.

Herbalistic, is your "oven paper" parchment paper? :chin:

trapik, I think you can still find some NN stock around, but Reef has discontinued these lines. Who knows, maybe some new f2 stock will turn up.

BL, yeah the NN's are just starting.(click up the above pic)
I believe you've been getting more rain than I. I watch the weather map dousing you, and then heading NE. :frown:
I love them all, they're my children! Not a stepchild in the mix! :biglaugh:

Cheers all!

Dude that blows camel turds!!!!! :cuss:

Sorry to hear about your pain. At least with rippers you know it is going to be smoked.

I have 3 small plots going. I expect one to be found maybe even two. But to loose it all really sucks.

So sorry to hear this.
Seemed like a really nice grow with some very nice strains.
In what country are you growing?
Im thinking more choppers hunting cannabis fields.
its very rare in Denmark, but ive heard some instances in the southern part of the country where its thinner populated and more common with semi commercial guerrilla growing.

Man, that sucks! I hate hearing Helicopters during the season, especially late in the season, and especially when they are low and slow.
