Thanks for all the replies... I Damn sure took some notes.... here's another idea I've been kicking around. I'm gonna order a 4x4 tent... I have a 600w cool tube with a 400 cfm fan and carbon filter.. would it add co2 and maybe help lower the Temps in the tent if I put dry ice in maybe a laundry bag or something and put it in the intake vent?

yep that would help a little. the exhorts fan is the prob, it will sux it out just as fast as it goes in. so you could put that on a timer to auto the no/off times to suit the best temts for the room.

co2 is heaver than air so it will sink to the bottom and flow like water. rain, mist.

so here's another option,,, let the dry ice melt in a container stored up high above the plants and gravity feed the co2 down directly to the plant leaves via tubing out of the bottom of the co2 container..

What if the room the tent is in is fairly tight from new air coming in (Door is always closed and no windows ever open. Cracks in walls sealed with plaster), so you just suck the air back from the other side of the tent. The co2 wouldn't be lost.

That sounds like a good idea to me.... only thing is I wanted to try and get some extra cooling out of the co2 also. Just a thought but he'll it couldn't hurt and I have unlimited access to free dry ice.

For the first couple weeks I use daylight flos 1/4 inch above the tops. For some reason I always get really lush green babies under a flo.I ve used 400MH from the start and I prefer starting with flo's

then do both. get a co2 meter. follow all at safety directions for co2 applications, that stuff can kill...

same bro --> get a co2 meter. in a confined space at high levels co2 will kill you dead.
please follow all the safety recommendations for co2 applications

just remember salt based fertilizers kill the good fungus...

G`day TG

Not necessarily .
High P will affect mycho . Adding inoculants during veg to encourage root growth is never a bad thing .

Thanks for sharin

Have to agree I misspoke with a short answer.

Fertilizers containing high levels of soluble phospate will cause the root system to inhibit colonization. Insoluble P however has no affect.

While colonizing your root system pay attention to whats going in your soil would have been a better post.

General organics ' bioroot' is awesome for seedlings..its 1-1-1 and safe..

By no way is this to determine if your in dangerous levels of co2 or if your far beyond dangerous levels. But if you smell a strong metallic kinda of smell, that is co2 bursting the blood vessels in your nose. co2 is odorless, your smelling the iron in your own blood.

I use plant magic granules mixed in my small pots I use to start seeds. Seems to give them a kick up the bum.

It's a good tonic, but pricey for what you get. Can do as well soaking willow branches in water for same/better results.

surprised were on page 3 and nobody mentioned humidity/vpd levels yet...

keep an eye on your temps/humidity.. if you can keep them in check, the leaves will transpire faster and thus grow faster..

i try to use a fast draining mix in a solo cup for seedlings, hot and humid room, with a gentle breeze to get things going quick..

keep them as close as possible to your t/5 before letting the temp of the leaf exceed over 80-82..use a laser temp gun..they are a great tool.

+1 for pretty much all of this.

VPD / humidity seems to be extra important in seedling stage.

And a lot of people might disagree with this but I have the fastest sprouts when using a seedling heating mat with a precise temp control on it, to raise the ground temp 10F or so. They're at any hydro store, the key is to get the digital temperature control / probe and program it to a constant temp so they don't get TOO hot. I get faster roots with clones also with a heating mat.
