On the way back home.... Just spent some time at the beach and did something I haven't done in year's... I dropped two hits of acid....
oh it was Friday night..... had to lay in the sun and recover yesterday.....
I kind of like my LED. I will have to change the set up it is in to make it easier to tend the plants.
Blue Dream at week 7
The Blue Dream got away from me because I cant get far enough in to train it. Plus I put the second screen in to late.
Here is the other half of the room. It is Ace of Spades also at week 7.
This LED set up is 8 cree 3590 cobs at 1.4 amps. So about 390 watt at the cobs.
I tried to set up a auto watering system like Dans but could not get to the back. I feel like unc when I water snaking around to the back. It was a real pain in the ass to clean out the under growth. Still didnt get it all because it is poorly set up.

Thanks but I think I can do better. I think this is only my 4th flat grow. Done a shit ton of vert scrogs though.
I guess I should mention there are two plants of each strain in there. And the room is 32 inches by 60 inches. So just over 13 square feet. About 30 watts per square foot.
Wish I had a better camera to get some close ups but I dont.
Itchy will you take take a shot of how you're ac is set up please Sir.... The AC I need won't fit in the tiny window...... Trying to get some ideas.... I gotta get going...
I have a small 5x7x7 flower room that I built a wall in. The AC goes threw the wall. Behind the wall is a carbon filter with a duct going out the back of the room. Behind the room is a 10 inch fan hooked to a 6 inch stove vent going out the side of my house.
I dont have a picture of the fan going out the side of the house but I do have two of the AC in the wall.
I posted these up in uncs thread but will do it here as well. The fan to the right side just draws cold air out for my veg area. To the right is a removable panel that allows me to get to the carbon scrubber if it needs changed. The second picture shows the panel removed. I put the scrubber on because some people say that you still get a little smell leaking with window units.
I think the area behind the wall is about 3 feet deep. This seems to be enough room to vent the heat off the AC. My cold air vent is directly above the AC in this room. I can not get a picture of that but it is just a 8 inch duct that runs to the top of my lung room. I did that so that it draws the stall air out of my lung room as I dont use CO2.

Hope you enjoyed your trip! Been trying to schedule a getaway with a buddy to do just that but I always preferred shrooms myself.
Please don't misunderstand me, I LOVE mine. For low heat applications where cooling capability or cost is an issue I don't think they can be beat. I just wanted to see what all the CMH fuss was about, see if there was a significant spectrum difference and if it doesn't work in that space I can re purpose it and just add more COBS.
Mostly I was just being lazy, it's about the same $$ to add 4 more COBS in there and right now I don't have the time or the inspiration to do the build and rewire everything in the cab to do it right...to add the CMH all I have to do is move some nails and replace two aluminum cross braces and I'm done.
Not saying one way or the other is better. I have never ran a CMH and this is my first flower with a LED. So I am the last person to say which is better.
There are a lot more people running CMH than LEDs from what I have seen. So I thought a couple LED pictures would show what a LED grow looks like. Even if I didnt do a top notch grow with them.
No Bro, love your pics and you chose very well for LED equipment. Keep on kicking ass! mine took a couple cycles to figure out the fixture height and correct temp for the space etc.
For most of this grow the light was right down on top of them. About 6 to 10 inches off the top. I had the light tilted with it being about 8 inches lower on the Ace of Spades end.
But I am running diffusers on my COBs. Not to many people run them. Just guessing but I think I can get the light closer. At one point the bigger cola on the Blue Dream was less than 2 inches from a COB.
My temps are high 70s with little variation day to night.

Hey aspen. Is the issue with the window banger with the height of the window. That was my issue. Like a centimeter too tall. There are little stopper pieces at the tops of my window frame. I popped them out and was able to open the window just enough.
Before I decided to throw it in the window I built a couple different enclosures around it. I'll dig up the pics from my instagram. Idk if it's what ur looking for. But I was proud of em lol

This is my 4 x 4 flower tent with a 315w CMH, I also have three 90w UFO LEDs and a 180w UFO LED in there as well.
Sometimes I forget when I see all these peoples grows on here with big buds and grows but then I remind myself I'm only working with 765watts in the flower tent!

I have no diffusers and ran mine within 4" at first but this time I've raised them up to 15-18" and I think the end results will be better. Just gotta keep the lowers clean.
I have my A/C on a controller and am running mid-high 70's with a 5 degree swing so it doesn't cycle on/off so often. Against my better judgment I'm contemplating trying to run in the 80's this summer with some C02 and see how that goes.
Do it, they will blow those old lights away! Spendy to start if you buy the best available, maybe start with some CXB3070's and a Meanwell driver until you figure it all out. I wish I had 3590's like Ichabod but the 3070's still produce nicely and are available.
Google SupraSPL, six string, Captain Morgan and you'll see threads in many forums and find many other knowledgeable LED fabricators and their builds and you can copy or refine an existing design and feel pretty safe about getting a good result on your first build.
