hey aspen don't sweat it, mine are gg4s1 and do the same, can start to see brown at 32 days. I think its the intensity, mines on 1150 but does same on 1000. 1.2 to 1.3.

a lot of folks have mentioned here switching to or adding in CMH fixtures. If any one is considering getting them, especially if they're considering a dual cmh 630 fixture, consider the DE 630 CMH option. I'm using it but cant comment much about it because I've been doing this for a total of 2 weeks. but cost wise ($500-600, depending on your hydro store's discount policy) and fit for my 5x5x8 tent, it seemed on paper to be the best option. Not trying to shill, just mentioning other options. Far more knowledgeable growers than I, like Hammerhead, have used it and it has been pretty thoroughly discussed in the CMH elite thread. there's an american company that wholesales it or a very similar fixture can also be sourced through Alibaba, if you don't mind that kind of thing

Hope this mention isn't out of place. I'll be happy to pull it if it seems that way. lmk

i feel like since its being discussed i should mention i did find a banana in the first part of harvest. it was partially open. i havent pulled the rest of the room yet but have pulled some buds off of them and found one very premature seed, basically an embryo in a casing out of an oz of flowers. but ive had brown hairs for a month, they appeared evenly within a 48 hr time and were just brown or orange or whatever, not dead. if its seed they should be mature seeds in there but ive not seen a one. i tore into a dozen extra swollen calyxes on live tops and not seen any. and ill be damned if it looks seeded in general. if the glue can look this good and get this big when seeded ill gladly take this round on the chin.

moral of the story is this. i dont hide my fuck ups. i might have some preemie seeds this run from a light leak issue i solved. but in no way do i think my plants were seeded when the hairs started flushing/changing. im still dialing my new room in and the glue herself so i really cant say for sure what is going on here. sorry to dump all this info in your thread aspen im just trying to be transparent

i get a few seeds here & there on every run . nothing to trash the harvest over or even worry about . ya gotta remember GG4 came from a mess of hermied plants , so the trait is there . the better the environment & the less amount of stress on the plants , the less seeds your going to see . which is why i try to tell people to LST during the stretch instead of supper cropping & snapping the stems . it is stress & takes time to heal !

yeah ive been poking around trying to brush up on lst in preparation for my upcoming round. i supercropped the crap outta my current round cause they really seemed to enjoy it.
that is a good point about the nature of its origin dan. i feel better knowing thats more common than i initially suspected. you dont see ppl mention stuff like that really, hence my attempts at transparency.
just got off the phone with the local shop. they are setting up a deal to get those de cmh lights in so i can plop down a few grand on 4 of them in a couple weeks and not have them arrive on my doorstep.

I supercrop the shit outta my GG4 cause it stretches so much after flip and I want my canopy packed as tight as I can get it. I haven't had a single seed in years after I bumped up the nutes. I always get decent sized colas but not as big as Dan the man.

maybe ease up on the snapping cuz it takes time to heal . & i'll bet your buds get fatter :tiphat:

Ok so i got in there this afternoon and looked around i only had 20 minutes before lights off.... i found 11 seed pods, I removed all i found to have a look inside them, i found 5 really immature seeds thad wouldn't pop..... tiny light colored the shells looked shriveled up some... not smooth and rounded like normal, the rest that i have found had nothing solid inside them so i dont know...... Ill bet the bud is still fantastic..... they look fine and healthy..... funny thing is i found no nanners...... not a single one..... Im kinda at a loss.... i haven't seen any pollen in the tray, I keep that tray clean as hell....

When i super crop... you have seen my methods.... I dont snap the branches over to the scrog. I gently hold them by the tops and carefully pull them over and where the stem comes through the scrog is more like a hump instead of a right angle. then use the clips to hold it down there are about 10 that did not want to bend and i had to bruise those stems to lay them over....

So here we are...... The last week these will see any feeds..... I cut it back, I actually cut the feeds in half, I don't have my conversation chart handy but im sitting at 350ppm . 5 scale.... This is going to be an interesting 3 weeks... The buds are still kinda loose there starting to get hard in some places but they have a very long way to go before harvest on the 28 of this month...... Judging by the plants I have flowered before the gg4 dosent look very mature yet at all..... Those other plants had solid buds and did most of there growth earlyer in flower...... This is really an odd plant......

if i can be honest . they don't look like they're filling in very well . you should have nice solid nugs by now . :dunno:

you've done everything right that i can see , dunno why you would be having problems . the only variable thats different between yours & mine is the light .
but you still have 3 weeks left so ....... i could be talkin out my ass lol

this is not supercropping, thats lst. (right?) i pop the stem enough to squish a pimple and leave it. they never fall or bend, just get a little knot there and slow it down so shorter branches catch up. pretty high stress.

edit - found the first mature seed...
