how do u lose a 20" bong lol, it;s probley just where u left i lol.

I have 11 smoking devices plus papers and a roller, I love that roller, used to hand roll, but now I add the filter to the roller and its good to go. No more roach clips for me. LOL

Anyway, I am aways losing one pipe or another, a one hitter, something. Most of the time all I have to do is check my glass and metal pipe cleaning container. Hell one day I was looking for something to smoke with and found 7 of my glass pieces in there.
Like my son, he will look at me get a big smile on his face, shake his head and say "Fucking Hippy"!, then just laugh his ass off.

When I run vertical HPS I put a hurricane fan aiming straight up at the bulb from right underneath. I occasionally add an oscillating fan but try to keep it from nailing the plants directly.

Same here, plus the incoming air sits right by the fan or opposite the fan.

It would be highly unlikely for me to ever over water my pots...Have you seen my pots there full of holes..... I already feed six times a day lights on every two hours, right at a 1/4 gallon of fresh nutrient solution, so that's a gallon and a half every time i water so now we're at 9 gallons a day, and the plants use just that much i have less than a gallon of runoff daily. every two hours....... CoCo as a material has the right water retention for plant growth, the chop is nothing more than personal preference, It is very nearly impossible to overwater coco if there is adequate drainage available, let the coco sit in water and become waterlogged and you're doomed for failure... :):)

I am sure you will be fine, I was only commenting on the type of coco's. I have use three brands now and I am going to stick with Canna, very consistent, stringy not finely chopped. I will see you when I finish catching up, still got a page to go. LOL

Ok Aspen, I have caught up now.
Being a country boy, well country ol' man, I too like Forman, enjoy a good fire pit, bowl and a beer. But alas, I live to far to drive over for the evening to taste that wonderful bud you are growing.

Girl you are doing great, I am impressed with the way you have thought thing out and implemented the plan, good fucking job.

I grow in coco, have begun grow vertical. My first vert I have problems with the blumats I was using but I pulled about 10 plus oz off of 4 plants. This grow has been a mind fuck, ordered seeds for a mid November dual bulb vertical grow, upper light 315W CMH and lower bulb a 400W HPS. Seeds did not show. I had planted as a after thought some freeby seeds I have in the fridge and ended up with two of them. WW and Super Citrus Haze, got two lights on the the 315 and a SS440 LED. Not doing a vert but spreading them out similar to a scrog with no screen.
Will be setting it up auto this next week, I am tired of hand watering.

Check out my little two plant grow. I am loving the color using less is more.
Oh I am only in day 4 of 12/12.

Wow, I just reread my post, it looks like I never finished school, way to many errors, my typing skill have diminished since I retired.

Anyway, I sounded like I was looking for pity, not the case at all. Hell I am just glad to be growing again. Last harvest was in Oct and damn I miss this shit. All the planning and getting shit together. Upgrading when you can, learning from others and hopefully pass on some knowledge to someone down the line.

Hope to see y'all around my place, but you have to take your shoes off in the grow area :canabis:.

Hey Aspenou, I mixed and feed my first batch of V&B last night, ph came out perfect it took about 10 minutes to dissolve but the water was cold, so no complaints there.

I just found this thread. Read through all pages. Mad props to you Aspen! This thread is a perfect example of good detailed documenting of all issues, discussions among members and resolutions. For your first grow this is the best I have ever seen! Period!!! and your design work, cleanliness and craftsmanship are hands down better than any grower I`ve known and know today. Youre putting the boys to shame. I feel like a lazy ass looking at your pics and reading your detailed posts. Best of luck meeting your 2lb goal. You may actually do it considering how tight the canopy is. I`ll be watching.

V+B is the shit..... I use the RO formula, Ill fill my res, put the res in mixing mode ( the pump running and being sprayed back in the res), I start adding the V+B ro and it never hits the bottom of the res....
So try adding the V+B to a moving body of water and add it slowly it will dissolve faster........ I normally test EC moments after i add a spoon full and i get accurate reads. here is my res mixing itself...... so easy..... you're in for a treat Packer Good luck.....

Thanks Aspenou, I will try that once I start using the big barrel, I have to drag a hose into my shed for water. I have no pressure regulator on that hose bib so it's like 120 psi, I am sure it will mix in quickly with the high pressure. Right now I am using a Rubbermaid tote and mixing 10 gallons at a time. Plants seem quite happy with the V&B.I am 4 days into flower, they are kinda small because I way overvegged last round. They are bushing out nicely. looks like I will have lots of larf for bubble and rosin.

Just curious as to the height above the canopy for your light set at 1150 watts. I ask because mine is 48 inches above and the plants directly below yellow slightly and that's only set at 825 watts.

Edit - Congrats on the nice grow BTW. I am a new grower on my first run and my setup is very simiar to yours. I have 3 glues scrogged out under a 1k DE in PPK's with jacks+ calcnit. I am at day 26 of flower right now so I am enjoying the opportunity to kinda grow along with you and compare your results to what I have going on. Thanks for keeping us updated and sharing the experience, I'm totally stealing the idea to use tomatoe vine clips on my next run. Thanks again and great job!

Nice you should throw us some pictures. About that light.... My Gavita has a string attached to it, that's 36 inches above the canopy, and nothing gets burned or discolored, the plants grow 4 to 6 inches a day so the plants are normally grown up into that 3 foot space on a daily basis.... You may need to bump your feeds up a little..... Throw up some pictures and let my friends here see maybe one of us can help to figure out your issue.. I know every time i have turned up my light from 600w all the way to 1150w I have had to slightly bump my feeds up, the yellowing would literally disappear within 6 hours.....
Great Growers sound off here all the time......

I like to run a variety of different strains and do perpetual with two 4 x 4 tents with a couple few plants coming out of the flower tent a month but I'll tell you what you're making me think of the way I grow. I already have a couple hooked up on a timer with some hydro halos but I'm thinking of adding another tent and maybe doing something like yours or Dans. Last month I harvested 6 out of my 4 x 4 tent, this month will prob harvest 2 or 3 but the next will be another good month.

I'm curious to see what you come up with for a total weight for this grow and the other grows you do this year.

Everything looking great thus far though!, you're making a lot of people jealous lol!

Im standing here Amaded, it took me a second to figure out what i was seeing.

Im standing here Amaded, it took me a second to figure out what i was seeing.

Thats suppose to say AMAZED up there.....oops

So i have to tell ya..... The gG4 she never disappoints when it comes to the STRETCH these plants had me worried.... worried that i had been to aggressive training them to the trellis, i was afraid they wouldn't be tall enough to fill in and give me the weight I DO SO TRULY DESIRE 2.0 LB's!!! I thought i was out of the race, so i didn't even look in yesterday, not wanting to see failure or another missed GOAL! I spent a lot of time with them the other day and they were only 4 inches off the trellis.............. But she never disappoints does she.........and it took me a while to realise as i stood with the door open........ wow Holy Fuck...... Im still in this race....

and i may just make that 2.0 GOAL the tallest was at 18 inches, the average growth across the canopy was 12 inches in 48 hours. I measure 8 different points on the scrog to determine the average height gains....

this is a sinker tied to some string, the distance between the bulb and the end of the sinker is 36 inches.
