its MBferts that changed formulas on things , not Jacks .
they got spanked by the EPA for using PGR's in some of thier additives .

I buy it right from JR Peters.

While I might not go so far as to say .....if you arent using jacks and calcium nitrate you are making a mistake..... however quite a few dedicated growers here on ic mag have found the combination and have no intention of moving on....

FOr the fans of jacks.....a little interesting history....

10 years or so ago..... likely more like 15 the company Peters was bought out by the fools who own miracle grow...... they bought the name but did not prevent jack peters from starting a new company....

ANd so.....JR Peters the company.....was born....

Peters makes a product which is very similar to ....jacks 5-12-26...

Peters 5-11-26

the biggest difference is not the phos content....jacks 12% and peters 11%

The magnesium content of jacks is over 6% while peters is over 3%

the same thing for sulfur....... peters.....4% while jacks is 8%

SOme have said that jacks is pointed at the indoor cannabis market while peters is not....

Cannabis has much higher needs for magnesium than almost any plant..... and is one of the most common problems growing weed indoors in particular....
as far as sulfur...... its said to increase terpines....

and who doesnt like stinky weed......:tiphat:

That is interesting Buddy :tiphat:, I must not have done my research as I have tried jr peters and gave up as I couldn't seem to dial it in and keep my gals happy. No idea there were two names out there. I will try again in the future as the cost savings are enormous......but right now I need to focus on other things to improve my grow. V&B Dirty makes that part easy

Hey Aspenous, what kind of glue did you use for the pvc for the watering system? I don't know if the regular pvc glue is plant safe.

Thanks

Z7 users?

Z7 users?

I've got a question for Aspen, Dan and/or anyone who's been using the Z7 enzymatic to treat and prevent build up of bioslime.

Does it see to work for you? I've been using it since Aspen posted her problems with the bioslime and her use of the Z7. I recently checked my rez and it had some slimy build up, nothing major, but still. If it doesn't prevent the build up in the rez, is it doing anything in the pots? Do you all find it makes a difference? I'm almost out of my original bottles so I'm looking at whether to rebuy.

I haven't seen any at all, but all you are seeing is the build up..... I know when its working because all that stuff it bonds with gets build up but i run 5 gallons and a brush through the res between fills.... and i only see that if i dont do a quick scrub of the res in between fills just water a brush and a shopvac....
