I will mention this and try not to sound sales pitchy
JMS Stylet oil - it's an organic paraffin oil, there are other brands.. but this is what was recommended to me.
Someone was pushing these hard on me.. I'm battling PM.
I had already spent hundreds on an arsenal for this shit.. so i didn't bite.
after daily sprays of agricultural h2o2, and some organic options to no avail, i finally caved after losing plants.
I sprayed 4 days ago @ week 7 or so.. and it looks like i never had PM.
Fuckin sure wish i wasn't so stubborn in the first place.
Primarily used as a fungicide, it also works to knockdown many soft bodied insects
Spinosad should work from the ground up, and the oil should suffocate the critters and protect the plant for 10-14 days while you work on eradication.
I used the oil similarly to whodatis' green cleaner recipe (another one i wish i tried earlier)
his recipe is:
10ml 91% iso (contact desiccant, sterilize)
10ml Sals Suds (a bronner soap that contains sodium lauryl sulphate - emulsification)
20 ml soybean oil
I subbed out 20 ml soy oil for 40 ml stylet.. idea is that the oil suffocates, then coats to protect. Can be used up to harvest.. I'd try to allow 10 days before harvest personally.
I also tested it on an incredibly infested schefflera plant (idk what the bugs are.. but i fucked them up) and a seriously PM laden lilac outside... eagle 20 did nothing to the lilac.. everywhere i sprayed with this is clean as a whistle today.
Google stylet oil and you will get a lot of info.. lots of .edu sites too.. i like to pretend that holds weight.

The JMS horticultural oil has the highest purity #'s like 98.5% I think, plus it is the only company that offers an organic version.
I worked for a company doing insect and disease control with various chemicals and we used a lot of dormant oil, or horticulture oil. Works well, less expensive than other options. Less lethal to the end user and applicator.
