47 Days Flowering Giant...

47 Days Flowering Giant...

Pic taken last night, tuesday. 2 more days until 7 weeks in flower and it isn't done. I just noticed my timers were out of synch a bit so it has been getting 14 hours of light per day. This will cause it to take another week to finish but it's still putting on budweight. I am concerned that it may break it's support wire. The colas go all the way around and right down to the ground almost.

Excuse the shitty lighting...she may indeed go 10 oz after all... ;)

Helen of Troy Bogglegum Mom

Helen of Troy Bogglegum Mom

The plant that sold a million seeds!!!

Big Demo plants are impressive and for a soil grown indoor plant this plant is on the extremely large size. It is scary to make one so big because mold can be a real concern when plants have huge colas. Despite the numerous colas this plant has some colas that are 3-4 inches in diameter. Lucky for me that Bogglegum is so easy to grow and so mold resistant. That doesn't mean it can't mold though if too humid. Lots better than most indica types however. ;)

You can't see them yet but they are under those leaves and soon I will strip her for you. This plant is shown as a young flowering virgin in Part 1 of, "Basics for Begineers" in the next issue of IC Magazine. In Part 2 I will show her finished with me holding her like a prize fish. :p

The plant is finishing up and it is being cleared now. The fat buds are almost ripe and I was amazed when I started poking around in her recently. Perfect, perfect, perfect.... :D

"Bogglegum"...she ain't just for rookies.

This is the plant flowered in the 3.5 gallon pot shown in the first pic. The same clone as this giant as they are both my Bogglegum Mom. This pic was taken at 31 days flowering... BOG

Cheap Lights for me

Cheap Lights for me

I like 1 k mh lights with 940 hps conversion bulbs and now I have moved up from 600 hps lights to 1K. My flowering room is 2 or 3 of 'em and I just ventilate when hot a lot. I placebo co2 supplement using co2 cartridges in the flowering day a couple times manually.

In veg I start everything under a 4 ft shop light with regular GE kitchen and bath tubes (40 watters) and when bigger in veg they get light from another cheap 1 K mh light. So far I feel the 1K hps agrosun is the best with a 940 conversion eye type hps bulb as second best for flowering. I use about 50 watts per sq ft of hps in flowering. BOG

I also allow light leaks in flower to find hermie tendencies and to eliminate them if present.

Most buds are getting ripe fast now as some clearing continues. The individual bracts have swollen some since these pics were taken late last week. She needs the extra time because she shielded much of herself from the light. Ripening is proceding one area at a time and all the buds are swelling. She takes 2.5 gallons of water every other day now. :)

Yeah a bit less than 3 K and I have 5 other plants too...

Yeah a bit less than 3 K and I have 5 other plants too...

Sorry, the mag costs 80 bucks a year for the USA but that includes the DVD with each issue and shipping stealthily of course. The lights are from 1-2 ft from the plants tops and they are uncooled horizintals. I prefer bogbubble in the evening and bogglegum in the daytime but Bogglegum is easier to grow big yields from actually cause its so easy... lol... most of the Bogbubbles smell like bubblegum and lots of the bogglegums do too... :p BOG

I am sure you can buy singles too...

I am sure you can buy singles too...

Probably 20 bucks. :)

I just have an exhaust fan up high as my room is over 14 ft high on one side. I also let fresh air in and have a large fan on the floor moving the fresh air toward the plants so the air moves the heat up and away from the plants pretty well. I place one in a corner up higher than the others with the other 2 a bit lower and heat doesnt seem to get my plants. I can get to 1 ft. from the lights but that is closer than necessary. BOG :)

none...

none...

But, I live in a cave on a mountain so who would smell it? ;)

I have never needed any sort of odor control as most of my strains are low smell. Even when I lived in a house. :) I have used air fresheners like ozium on rare occasion however... BOG

Stick a fork in her...She's Done at 53 days Flowering!

Happy Day! She is huge and not one branch broke or molded. I am certain she went over 10 oz and soon you will see. She started flowering in Feb. 5th and these pics were taken on April 1st. Now she will bet a last watering and 3 days of darkness before the cut. Good nude views to come soon. Here she is. :) Fat and sassy... first pic at 52 days...
