California... to be specific I am fishing lake kaweah not far from sequoia national park in three rivers ca..not even a nibble last night ..but for the second time a bigass crawdad has come out of the water and attacked me..just came right out of water and started pinching my toes..wtf??? I played with the feisty little guy and released him unharmed...lots of frogs out and they got to go swimming..no bass ate em before making it back to shore...I got high and drunk and it was beautifull so all is fine...gonna try other end of lake soon as I recover....yeehaw
anyone using an e chip lure ???...yeehaw
allegedly the e chip emits an electrical impulse like a struggling fish ,,,which is sensed by hungry fish causeing them to attack lure..allegedly causes more catches....the theory makes perfect sense as muscle movement create electric impulses and fish or other stuff does indeed pick up these..hammerhead sharks have incredible sense to pick up these....yeehaw...its the newest thing for lures right now

I prefer bait and old school krocodiles and kalins lunker grubs on 1 oz jig with eyes...I salt my bait for 3 days usually..borax is supposed to work tooo ,,that's next to try...works better than the mushy frozen shit they sell..even works as good as fresh...I have a bait fridge/freezer....guys here are using 250$$$$ lures...hell I would have to use stainless aircraft cable if I was that dumb...250$ really how dumb is that...theres cheap e chip lures on ebay..so I am prob gonna get a few for fun...meanwhile I keep salting and storing bait.......I use 14 lb line, like 24 lb line,,40 lb line and AFW micro surflon knottable wire in 26 and 46 lb generally...just had a 40lb line broke off...fluorocarbon line aint cheap but I am gonna upgrade that too maybe 60 or 80 lb ????..I wont spool the whole reel with it tho just a few ft leader..its expensive..the 40 lb I spool the whole reel but heavier line is really more expensive..i catch my own bait on my own rig I made..it works better than a sabiki rig which don't work for me in my spot I get bait...but dealing with 7 tiny treble hooks is a bitch..i call it the hell rig....yeehaw

Ahh how I would like to post some carp I've caught, but I've become fairly well known in the scene in England and the risk of someone recognizing the fish and therefore the photo is too high, any of you across the pond dabble in some carp fishing? (not bow hunting ya brutes!)

Yeah i feel you but even if you can't show us, maybe you can tell us some story from some great catch
borax didn't work good....salt is king...was out in the kayak on san diego bay yesterday...the bay bass bite was on ..caught a lot and missed a lot...nothing else caught...every time I lit my j a fish would bite... took forever to smoke it down beautifull day ....yeehaw...need to get more bait ..time to strip the salted squid and break out the sabiki rig...my old bait spot dried up ...might have to hit a pier...baby macs about a lb or less and big smelt
all you can catch bay bass and jacksmelt up to 14 inches...I had to go back to one rod as they were hitting so fast and much it got a bit much....yeehaw...salted squid strips added to jig were the bomb diggity

two of my favorite past times weed and fishing. I love trout fishing with lures and chronic, great relaxation.

when I lived in PA on the Alleghany river... I caught lots of real big carp..but I preferred the walleye and catfish/bass ....carp were too easy and we could chum up shitloads of em with corn and bread products..tough fish tho ..built solid but no bragging rights among my peers lol....yeehaw..back then there wasn't as many people fishing for them ,,never mind eating them...I haven't eaten one yet...heard smoking them and also cutting small cubes and slicing little slits then deep fry ..its supposed to help with the tiny bones or something..i caught some decent size carp at my last spot on lake kaweah but only cause it ate my bait...unintentional catches...they sure get aggressive during breeding time..had them ram my kayak more than once,,watched them slam into submerged trees and such ...they get rather feisty with each other too..was fun to see some big ass carp going crazy...tried to hand catch some one day with no luck...the guys with the bows harvested hundreds of lbs of em each day during the short time....
got to teach a young girl how to fish and she caught a 13 inch fish and a decent ray...turns out she was an orphan like me and never fished ..cute little African American girl..smart as hell within 3 tries she cast out about 15 ft...7 years old..i cast out farther with bait and she got her catches tho...she reeled in..i have forgotten how many questions kids ask...every answer you give leads to 3 more freaking questions...!!!!!! either way she had good first experience ..I only caught one tiny fish and had to hide my drinking and smoking...but it still was awesome...would of been better if hot mom was single.....yeehaw..due to constant wind direction I was able to stay real stoned...she will be a hottie in like 15 years or so ...JOURNEY was her name..i predict good things for her ,,,..very intelligent child I was impressed...

Still waiting for the first stripers to come up our way. Schoolies should be here in the next week or two if we have good weather. Then the bluefish will show up and after that the fluke and black sea bass.
Havent seen any herring yet which is disturbing. They let the Russians decimate them offshore with their huge trawlers for a few years and the herring still havent recovered. These State and Fed. managers seem to have really screwed the pooch on fish stocks. Forty years of "management " and they haven't managed to preserve very much.
