Didn't even know this was happening this year. Definitely gonna try to get there Sunday for some seed shopping. It worked out well for me last year, wish you were gonna be there again Chunky.

Looks like I'll be there but not with a booth and helping vend some clones on the fringes somewhere.

They are not allowing flower or clone sales this year according to the web site but it looks like they are cool with seeds again.

Too risky for me to gamble on booth if they shut down sales, booth prices were 50% higher this year and I'm living way far away now but I want to come and grab some of the new clones that just hit and replace some that I lost since moving.

Cool man, maybe I will see ya. I can't take any clones right now as I am shut down recovering from neck surgery. But around here you gotta get while the getting is good so for now gonna try to get some seeds in the bank here. Hoping there is some sort of clone event in February as i should be back up then :woohoo: gonna try to bring some stuff in to get pressed. Last year they were pressing for free if you had something, and well I have a bit  but no means to make concentrates.

Chunky...I saw you last year at the HC but missed out on getting any genetics. This Sunday I will be at the HC! Do you know where I can get a cut or three of OGKB 2.0?? Been meaning to try it.

Yes but it's actually "son of Grinspoon"....you're probably thinking of the legendary Dr. Lester Grinspoon and former dean of Harvard medical school and friend of Carl Sagan & Ginsburg, Peter Grinspoon is his son

Chunky will have clones of OGKB 2.0 at the Cup. Find him on the outskirts somewhere.

2.0 is one of the strongest & most potent overall "medical" strain i've ran ... 100 % worth the effort in seeking her out ... i lost her last summer & hope to get her back in the future ...peace

I'm always skeptical of someone saying they had it underground since '76.

If you've ever been in a state when it turns medical or goes legal, you can sit back and watch all these con artists come out of the shadows claiming to have the oldest greatest rarest, etc cuts that even the likes of Sam_the_Skunkman can't find. Same dudes that were selling pressed clumps of mexi brick just a few months earlier, now have the most rare plant in existence. ROFL. Nope. Don't buy it.

Most "old school" tasting weed I have ever grown is the UK Livers cut. Skunk#1 from 1989 or something like that. It legit taste like no other weed on the market. It taste old, in the same way that and old book smells old, if that makes any sense. You can TELL it's old school genetics and not something modern. No question about it.

It's not impossible by any means, but why has no one on these boards heard of it? Why haven't people all over the NE who have been on forums for a couple decades now, never heard of it? Where are the legendary stories from growers traveling through a region and coming across the good?

These things happen so frequently because it's essentially modern "trade routes" if you will. Historically, you can tell how the world developed based on the spread of certain agricultural commodities that are in a region. Cannabis is no different in that regard. How many stories start with so and so met...so and so shared or found some seeds in a bag...etc. It's in part the verbally shared histories of genetic exchange that has confirmed the legitimacy of so called legacy cannabis for decades.

The thread about "Monkey Paw" I started is an absolute perfect example. I've replayed that scenario and that bud in my head a million times. Starting that thread was a HUGE mistake as it inadvertently created imposters. Before, if I heard the name, I'd have known I was on to something in the right direction because only those who knew, would have known. It'd have been like uttering the secret phrase. However, with more people discussing it and stirring the kettle, the name began to surface all over the place and it made it impossible to discern fact from fiction.

Very cool if that "Mean Green" is in fact from '76. You should put it in the Phylos Galaxy and see where it falls. That could be more telling than anything else. Should have zero connections to any modern hybrids.

Overgrow...I missed Chunky Sunday maybe cause he wasn't there.... but i am in the mood to grow out a batch of gnarly OGKB 2.0...The Zamaldelica monsters ( absolute animals...donkey dick and nonstop)..are just about done ( 11-12 weeks flower) and I want something radically different. Any suggestions?

I mean no offense, it's the instant knee jerk reaction for me to be skeptical of such a claim until I find a way to personally verify it. Generally, trusting a source is enough for me as well. Good vibes. Looking forward to seeing you run that oldie! Hopefully, it's a goodie too.

I've got several things I want to accomplish next year. Getting my rarer gene pool in the Phylos Galaxy is part of the list. :joint:

They’ve been posting every day on Instagram and so have a few that will be selling seeds. I’m gonna go but not really sure what to expect

I won't be there but I'm curious if many vendors will participate after table fees jumped from $200 to $700-1000.

Might be fine for .com seed retailers but it's not even a possibility for me to vend at those prices.

Just this guy, ya know?
It's in CT, no clones, and I know seeds aren't legal there. They are a medical state and won't go after small grows, but not sure on something like this. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the CT cops waited around the corner and were just busting anybody they saw leaving an event like this.

That's Ridiculous. I wanted to possibly get a table myself eventually if they come back to MA and the location is somewhat close to me this time. $200 didn't sound too bad to come up with, but $700-$1000? Yeah, no fucking way.

Unfortunately, i think you will see it keep going higher until most of the "smaller guys" are gone.

IDK about Berk 76 but I do know that when I started in 86 I was lucking enough to know 3 older hippy growers. Red beard being the only 1 that grew indoor with street lights. Anyhow, No1 knew how to clone back then. All plants were from skunk seeds that they made every few years. Had to be pretty much ibl since all plants always looked the same and stunk to high hell.

IMO anyone in Ma saying the have a clone from 76 is full of shit, now started from 76 seeds I will buy that. Thats just my 2 cents.
