 Thanks for the tip PN2P, but I tried ladybugs last year and they didn't do anything. :badday: I also tried neem and nothing. :badday: By the time I went back to the good old tried and true method of predator mites it was too late. :yoinks:

With predator mites it takes 4-5 weeks for them to take control and start killing those little buggers. So I am going to order them right now. :yoinks:

The biggest thing with lady bugs that I have found is that you want to release them in the evening when they are much less active. Petrolium oil should kill spider mites too, but it will slow down the rate of photosynthesis just like neem. If you can make that shed air tight, you could just pump a ton of CO2 into it and gas the bastards.

Lol I tried ladybugs before...I ended up stepping on half...the other half died in my HID LOL...good luck battling the bugs bro....looking forward to seeing how the predator mites work out...certainly hope it's "efficacious"...did the mites come from LPC bro?

Hey VT I didn't get the mites from any club clones. The bagseed clones I got from a friend had them. I would have been pissed , but the bagseed is some awesome stuff. Besides that I would have gotten them sooner or later in my shed.

 Thanks for all the advice carhattkid. I have had some probs with heat before, but by venting the roof and the floor I have made a huge difference. It is only getting about 10 degrees hotter in the GH than outside. as soon as it gets shadded by my trees in the late afternoon it cools right off.

Thanks again for all the advice last year pipeline.

 Thanks for the props smokteer. don't be a stranger and stop by whenever you like.

Someone wrote in to the Urban Grower about mites...he was saying..just use Avid..get it over with and go on with the grow..
Found this Spider Mite testing done by the University of Ohio..good pics there too
http://floriculture.osu.edu/archive/may98/smites.html

Then there is Diatomaceous Earth, made up of fossilized remains of microscopic one-celled plants..basically like a surface of razor sharp shards for pests to travel on..
Rips um up..and the effect also dyhydrates um..
And it's rich in micro minerals..inhale it and it's like breathing fiberglass..they use it in Swimming pool and other sediment filters as well..

High GCG

I have some good news on our club "afgooey"....recently chopped a branch to test....I can't smell it in the bloom tent much (Vaportek outside of tent is real strong)....anyways it has a strong smell of blueberry...it's a fruity smell...also....the plants are beginning to get real frosty....

I'll shoot some macros next week....and let you know how the premature sample is....I'm wishing I'd kept a cut of it now lol (did you?)

P2p: Nice post good info

Have a great weekend guys

 Hi everyone and thanks for all the help.

Twisted Passion why did you change your name ? If you are who I think you are I have a little something for you :moon: :moon: :bat: :bat:

T. do T. the urkle was topped early as a clone and has grown 2 main stalks. So to answer your question 1 plant per pot. Don't be a stranger.

PN2P thanks for all the help , but I will stick with my tried and true method and destroyers. I have used them for a long time now. They only work if you have a long growing period, it takes them about 4-5 weeks to get things under control. I have also heard of Avid. The only problem is I think it would take more than 1 application to interupt the cycle of mites. I don't like using chemical pesticides unless I have to. Thanks Bro.

Hey Despie using the CO2 is a good trick, but my shed is like a frigging wind tunnel and there is no way I could make it air tight.

Now VT I hope you have learned a good lesson from that? :bat: Run them out before you start pulling them because of what someone else has said. I always try and run mine out before listening to other people.

Thanks for stopping by everyone and don't be strangers.
