Here's both of them after their showers.

The big one looks like she should be ready in maybe a week to have another round of cuttings taken, then she'll be cut back down to the lowest level of live grow shoots (you can see just by looking where the lower growth are).

My last round of cutting I got 100% of all cuttings to root out. I'm looking at about 2 weeks of veg time and then I'll re plant them in hydroton and flip them. I'm thinking about doing a side by side grow. But I also would like to rebuild a certain set up I built years ago, but haven't done since then.

I've been working on building out/setting up my next run. I'm doing something different this time, or maybe something special. I had wanted to have flipped the room 12/12 on Tuesday or Wednesday, but I didn't get finished with building out the parts I need. This run will be a side by side grow with the top feed Hydroton, kind of more like a smaller sea of green, I may add a 3rd pump and an extra plant or two for a total of about 10 or 12 plants (8 if it's just the two pumps)

it's about time to hook the pumps up and then add water just enough water to do a wet test about 8-10 gallons I think.

I haven't run this set up with a water distributor/manifold hooked up to these F&D fittings. If the 3/4 inch leaks at the fitting/hose fitting, I could switch to the 1/2 tubing and fittings (I have spare 1/2 fittings), or moving them both onto one end of the tray and having that end hanging over the reservoir so all drips drip back into the res.

I'm seeing there is a higher pressure on each of these lines coming off the main line that I haven't seen when using the 1/2" tubing with barbed fittings connecting each 1/4" line to it. There seams there is enough pressure I could add 2 or maybe 4 more lines to each manifold. Perhaps later on for another project I may do that, but not right now.

it's looking like I might need to veg for a few days to let the roots to start to establish a foot hold... when transplanting the roots looked a little stunted from the small containers, but didn't ball up/root bound. some did a little better job then others, like always.

My Next Generation of water rings...

This is Generation is a single ring model, or one water line instead of the two drip lines/split ones, with a total of 10 holes drilled into the 1/4 tubing. Drilling the holes was the hardest part, making sure I didn't drill all the way through the 1/4" tubing.

I'm in the process of building the waterline/hose/manifold system for the center row of plant. I didn't have enough hydroton sterilized to fill the 5th one, so I'm waiting on the water to boil so I can fill the 5 gallon bucket with hydroton in it and let it sit over night.

How difficult is it to get that all tweaked up? When I was doing indoor, no matter what I could not stop fussing with it. was a horrible habit of mine.

Adding in the center row, was kind of one of those tweak it up. But it was on the table anyways as an option.

And now basically the only tweaking to be done is the water cycles/on/off times/dry cycles. This is closer to my original (first) designed system which none of Icmag has seen. I never had a camera back then.

The 3rd pump is all set up and the 3rd row is all set up except for the one plant I'm waiting on. I plugged the last water ring into the 1/2 hose of the 3rd pump so I can run it, the last pot can then be added later/tomorrow.

All pumps are plugged into the recycling timer, set at 2 minutes on and minutes 30 off.

The last Purple Urkle is in place and nutrients have been added. I only mixed the nutrients to a veg level. At week 2 the nutrients will be bumped up to the flowering level.

All 3 pumps are on and running in the picture and the water level in the tray stays at the level it is in the picture.

I will be starting a new thread for this grow once they look ready to flip.

Hello every one

I feel it's time to start a new Grow thread. This thread may be picture heavy at times. Expect to see Hydroponic cultivation. Rarely will I grow in other forms of gardening, like soil or coconut coir.

I've been working on breeding my own seeds for many, many years now.

In March I started 22 seeds. 19 Double Dutch f3's and 3 purple Urkle seeds.
The Double Dutch f3's are from a bubble gum phenotype that showed up in the f2's. I used two different f2 males to make these f3 seeds. I also had several other f2 females from the group I grew out that I selectively pollinated. These are just the first ones I've gotten to.
The Purple Urkle seeds I found in one of my jars of Purple Urkle. I'm sure that those buds where from the same plant that I had knocked up with some blue moonshine f2 pollen, so most likely they are Purple Urkle x Blue Moonshine f2.

These Pictures are from about 2 weeks ago after I moved the plants to a slightly larger flood and drain tray. The two big plants in the back right are the Purple Urkles.

got up and was doing stuff and I noticed a light was out. Turns out I had to reset the digital ballast, one of the two pins needed to be reset, something tripped it.

I went straight to the light after turning turning it back on. I went to increase the water on times, and noticed what I thought was a few little wisps of smoke and a smell. I unplugged the timer and it was on the warm side. The light started flickering as I unplugged the timer, it went back to normal after a minute.

the recycling timer is DEAD..... and for the moment the pumps are plugged in with out a timer.
