Mine is still dragging on. It took forever just to get the affidavit in support of the warrant, and man is it bullshit. These people will say anything. The "detectives" claim they did things that are physically, and geographically impossible. Also I suspect the affidavit is NOT the one they gave the judge to get the warrant. We are moving through the deposition phase now, and have another status check on 1/4/11, but that's just to tell the judge some of the cops didn't show up for deposition.
I expect this to drag on for at least six more months until the weather/temp conditions were the same as at the time of the bust. Should be able to prove the cops were lying.
In the meantime I am developing a trimmer that will cost less than $100, and be able to trim 5 lbs. an hour.

had court, they haven't given my attorney the second discovery yet, the taped conversation with the narc officers.
it was a riot getting interviewed by them, they were so fucking stupid, bad cop good cop situation, i called them out on everything they were trying to do. ive seen the shit on TV 1000 times, it was comical.
next court date is in a few weeks....
my lawyer and the DA i found out are friends, the DA wanted this done already, the judge wanted it done last year, my lawyer said there is an extremely good chance the case is dropped next court date. i give it two more....
bullshit what there doing to you, they are nothing but thieving liars. i want to know more about your trimmer......
i replaced the bulb, but it went out again, maybe that day? my jeep was recalled for faulty signal lights, its a known issue with them....

Amen...and Santa Cruz is one of the BEST counties to grow Medical MJ in....I Can do 100 sq feet of "CANOPY" per medical card , per home, My g/f and I = 200 sq ft. Plenty for me.
Cops can be cowboys. Their job is to make arrests, collect evidence, and let the courts sort it out. They don't give a shit.
Realize also that if you do end up facing time, for nonviolent crimes like this, they have minimal security "honor farms" which is kind of like fenced camping. I've been inside one, it's not like a visit to Mom's house but it's not Alcatraz either. You aren't going to be in with gang members and murderers. You are going to be in with other drug offenders. You'll probably smoke just as much pot inside as you did outside.
So take heart, it's not good. But it's not the end of the world either.

Why would you sell a trimmer for $100 bucks? You're saving someone hours, if not days of work. You're providing a machine that will last years, I assume. Plus the people won't have to hire outside security risks.

The reason I can sell them for less than $100 is because they will cost me less than $20 per unit. I have not yet gotten a patent so I can't go in to too much detail, but I should be able to demonstrate a prototype by the end of the month.
The major part of the trimmer is already built, and you can buy one at any Home Depot/Lowes/Sears/etc. That's one of the major reasons the price is so low.

Are you just modifing the battery operated hand held edge trimmer that last about 30 minutes and installing a standard power cord? They work great for outdoor but wouldn't use them for final trim or indoor. Cost around 20.00 bucks. Just a shot in the dark.

this is not my first bust and not my last, it goes with the territory. just funny this time, my last bust was 3 times bigger and no charges, let go after 72 hours in a way more conservative county, go figure......
