Extra shoots

Extra shoots

A plant from some feminised seed i made. (I don't know what the strain is)

IT has extra shoots coming from the base of a branch.

Two on either side of the branches (multiple sites, but not all)

I hope this is the right place to post this. I figured you guys would get a kick out of this.

As we all know herb grows in sets of alternating nodes, with two budsites per node.

like this oaxaca node illustrates.

When you get three its a rare freak and called a trifoliate or something like that. But I am the only person I've ever heard of thats seen a quad-foliate.

it was a cross of (blueberry x jacks cleaner) x (trainwreck x sweet tooth)
got a girl that started with 2 at a time in veg.... then she went to 3 leafs per node then after about 3 week into veg she went from 4 at a node to 5 at a node and stayed there put her into flower at 5 weeks or so and the way she streched she tools like she was trying to become 2 plants...more top pics to show shape of stem in a little bit....

i saw the leafs on a node... thats amazing as well as the rest......do you know were i could get that ecsd x sssdh???? I'm from the east coast and grew up with the ecsd and have been looking for genetics from a good source and thats the best variation I've heard of......and ill get the top of her tonight (had to fix the washer yesterday got busy) so you can see the smile that she has on her top cola from the stem trying to split into 2......

That's no freak :)She's a trifoliate or 3 cotyledon seedling.

She will grow up with 3 leaves/branches at each node.
I personally enjoy this trait a lot as it increases bud sites.

Sometimes they will revert back to two leaves/branches per node when they get older and some stay this way their whole life cycle.

If I got another one, I would toss some pollen on her and see if you can get the trait to show up again... Assuming you enjoy 50% more branching.

Good luck,

Very strange plant

Very strange plant

Freak you say? This is a strange plant. I'm not exactly sure where the nodes are located here but there is a lot of leaves per each node. It is Mandala 1 X (Unk). I think (Unk) is the neighbor's first outside grow and no one told him he should presex and half the plants were male. I took clones so if this tests good I still have the plant.

lol i've had a couple with a fasciated plants like that before. i dunno what causes it, one was from seed and mutated, the other was a clone i took in flower and the reveg just grew like that. i took a clone but that one grows normal again.

3rd node anomaly

3rd node anomaly

I don't know if this would be an anomaly or a mutation. Out of some of the seeds I recently poped I got one plant that has 3 nodes at each branch formation instead of two like most plants. I got these from a friend that crossed 2 different strains that I am not aware of the name. I now have some quality genetics and was just gonna let these unknown seeds finish outside since I have something a lot better inside now. But I am going to keep this plant inside to see its full potential and if the anomaly makes the plant bud structure better and or yield more. One thing that would be nice is you would only have to top it once to get a nice bush formation. Here are some pics. Wonder if I could breed it with a more potent strain and get the same anomaly in some of the offspring?
