found money?

last spring I was working in my back yard and heard something walking in the tall grass.
I checked it out and found a turtle with a 10 dollar bill taped to it's back.
A month or so later I was telling the money turtle story to a friend who lives a ways down the road and he laughed and said he and a friend of his who is Thai had taped the money to the turtle. Supposedly there is some sort of Thai superstition about putting money on a turtle and releasing it and it will bring you good luck.

Lived in an apartment building ... came home early ... stepped over a piece of white paper ... that already had footmarks on it ... was upstairs for 2-3 hours ... came down again ... grabbed my mail ... was going to recycling ... picked up the white paper because the Supervisor of the building is my friend ... wanted to help him out

Turns out - it was an envelope folded in half ... and inside was ten (10) ... $100 bills = $1,000 for those who cant do the math

The envelope was about 3-4 feet from the elevator ... and the same distance from a ground floor business

Clearly the money was not mine ... and whoever lost it was probably going thru a lot of self inflicted shit ... I also thought that the loss of this money probably affected others too

I had to run some errands ... but when I got home - I put a note on the door saying that if someone lost something ... they should describe exactly what it was

Took a few hours ... but, got a phone call ... turns out ... my new neighbor - who had very recently moved in with his girlfriend ... directly below me - dropped it

I knew losing this money really hurt

I had no idea whose money it was - I just knew it was not mine

I am very happy I gave it back

Everything is as it should be

There but, by the grace of God go I ... and do unto others

Great story! Better than the chopped off head atop a tortoise as in BrBa.

Recall finding wadded up bills in a parking lot up in Traverse City, MI several summers ago....I think enough moola to buy an entrée at a seafood place...$32! Nice!

Other than that a dime....I'll pick up coins. Enough of them, buys a coffee.

I have found hundreds lately in fishing lures ,lake trolls,flashers,, a rod and reel,net.. ect.. even a nice pair HIELO sunglasses I am wearing now and them aint cheap around 80$ and up ..nice gold crosses on sides....not money but money don't catch me fish or shade my eyes anyhow....sometimes you get what ya need directly..my list of found stuff would amaze ya...even a few buds in canisters from dispensarys....yeehawwwwww

It's been quite a while since it happened last, but 3 times in my life, I've put on a coat or jacket I hadn't worn in a long time, and found a $100 dollar bill I had stashed in an inner pocket...

Man, it was always a very pleasant surprise!

Was running a leaf blower at a customers house and found a gold ring with a huge (1/2 inch) fake diamond on it. The ring is 18k but never had it looked at to see what the stone is. Id call it high end costume jewelry.
At the time I found it even though the stone was large, it could of been real based on the customer. Sent the ring to the property owner in case it was there's and they gave it back saying it wasn't.

It is so obvious that God is sending you all the change because he thinks you need it. I mean think of all the people that lost all what you found, God took it from them and gave it to you because they could easily replace the funds while you are really needy in Gods eyes. I think he knows best and I wish I knew where you were hanging out so I could drop coins every few feet, to let you find them.
Who am I to argue with God?
Or maybe God is sending you all the change so you can find it and do something special with it like pay for a transplant for someone that needs it? I hope you did nor spend it on beers for yer buds, when God finds out he may get pissed......

interesting...nope i havent spent it at all. i collect it in a special container. it probably only totals around $6 so i am not sure what kind of transplant is within that budget unless you know a guy or are looking at doctors in a third world country.

ok im just curious because i know this is weird. do you ever find money? how often? in the last year i have found money 40-50 times. twice i found $20 and then 2 minutes later when i got in a cab i found a $2. then another time in a 2 minute period i found a dime then a quarter and then a $20. in between i have found at least 10 quarters and about 30 dimes. it is always dimes. at least 8-10 times i have found multiple times in a day. if a week goes by and i havent found any money it seems strange and then sure enough within a day or 2. dime. i dont believe in anything that has to do with luck. nor do i believe in coincedence. (i just noticed that has the word coin in it) all i can make of it is i have some strange but temporary magnitism towards currency. like in a positive currency mode. opinions?

I have found 1500 bucks in a money clip on the side of the road in a bag with a half oz of crack. It was on the side of the road, i guess they tossed it when the cops chased them? Im not sure but i was happy it was a nice extra payday.

Ive found a few 50s hundreds, and a oz of dope on the bus
