Inherited a 29k mile Ford Fiesta 2014,, now on 31k miles and started to act strangely,
Car locked then the interior dash switching back on with key removed from the ignition ,,
Auto Electrician diagnosis 4 fault codes 2 that were nothing,
Other 2 were alternator regulator and Dashboard Control Module which the parts cost from Ford Main Dealers is a qtr of the cars worth,,
As soon as the bad weathers gone then so will the car,,,
Aftermarket or refurb module and a huge bastard bill just before Xmas ,,
Feel ya frustration AOH ✌️ and certainly the electrics are built like shit as well,,,

My 2025 car is gonna be yet another Lexus, I now love them, I've had 3 since 2000, and would go nowhere else, I'm pumping for the suv version, tho I'm not into Hybrid elec. stuff
that can wait another 10 years ...lol

Besides guys Trump's gonna fix FORD along with the MAGA crowd, so don't give up

my F150 does shit like brighten/dim the dash lights randomly, sometimes change radio channels or heater vent selections, go from heating my feet to clearing the windshield. :dunno::thinking: i thought my possessed truck was one of a kind. :whistling:

The Crown Victoria and The f100 straight six are probably two of the best most reliable cars ever made. I'm not a big fan of any new/newer car. But old fords are amazing.

Diesel?
Edit: Had a little dig, and the petrol one's also react to voltage fluctuations. I guess it's not full dash, but pre-ingition, a kind of getting ready. The sort of thing you get for 10 minutes after you get out. If it were diesel, you might also be talking of flat battery
