Maybe interesting, watch the Prices and the language. Long before Mc Donalds opened the first Restaurant here (1979), you got no posibilty for a Burger or Hot Dog. Except one time in a year, in Germany you have one time a year a great Jahrmarkt/fun fair it has the roots in the middle age. Ok, long Story short, in my hometown since end of WW2 was living thousends of GIs with their familys and once a year, it was celebrated a German/American Volksfest. Krauts on the right side of the street, amis on the other side. It was like a little trip to the USA, american ice cream, burgers, rodeo, US marching band, paratroopers and a tent with an american DJ, hot Dogs. A wonderfull Memory for People in my age. But I wanted only post the nexr picture. :biggrin:It´s from the fest in the 60´s. Hot Dogs called Frankfurtes. And always funny when the Military Police ends the party with a stick.

Herman, I'm watching a food show on Germany's Romantische Straße. Romantic Road in English?

Have you ever driven the route? The food looks nice and hearty!

Hello Green Squall, I think the "Romantische Straße" is in german sizes far away in "Baden-Wuertenberg". For americans and canadians or australians it is just around the corner. Eight-ten hours from here at the coast, with a car. I wasn´t there before, only at the lake Constanz, what isn´t far from the end of the "romantische straße". I am pretty sure that there could be found wonderfull food and it´s what for most people of the world is typicall german.

Where I come from it is flat and wet and only 1,5 hrs away from the North eastern netherlands.:tiphat:

Here is the turkey noodle soup I made from the turkey breast I smoked the other day over apple/mesquite.
It has rice thread noodles, and a mirepoix base.

Here are the big beef bones before they went into a hot oven for 45 minutes ( 48 hour bone broth)

These are the finished beef ribs, seasoned with Carls Prime Rib seasoning

A nice salad to go with the ribs

Here is the bone broth going out in the garage.

I was running the Ninja cooker on Solar/ Battery bank power, but it started pulling the battery bank down a few hours after sunset, so I switched over to grid power. I switch back to solar in about an hour, after the batteries come up to full power.

This broth takes 48 hours to make, and pulls all kinds of nutrients out of the bones. At most high end restaurants, they always have a large kettle of this stuff on a back burner all the time. Its Gold. __________________
