Florida Growers Thread

I have two 2 1/2 month old Ducksfoot plants that are in veg state and ready to go out into the wild any time I want now.


The heat and humidity should be fine since the original breeder Wallyduck bred and raised his strain in a tropical region.

I will get a few pics up soon of them...not too impressive but then they are really meant to be outdoors.

no pics right now. i bought the grow box lights hung but im having trouble with the fan ... the growzilla has a standard sized dryer vent type hole and my fan has a larger intake. gotta finger this one out. gonna take some reverse engenering :teef:

What's happnin' guys? Hope everyone had a good 420. Anyway I'm a noob and starting my first grow this year outdoors. Just ordered some AFR- Durban Poison and BOG - Lifesaver. I hope they'll do well here with all our heat and humidity. Any of yall grown these out before? Are there any pointers I should know about growing outside in FL? I think I've got a good fundamental knowledge from reading a lot on OG but I still have no experience. Also, I'm planning on trying the water curing technique. Have any of you tried it?

Gr8StonedDragon, heres one tip,if your growing somewhere other than in your backyard. i'd buy you some chicken wire you wont regret it. heres another i dont use fish emulsion on account predators have dug up my plants in the past. now if you have a fortress built around them that might work. jmo

good luck with your water cure i tried it last season. i did a 7 day water cure i wasnt impress it didnt smoke for shit after i dried it couldnt keep it lit. maybe i did something wrong who knows all i do know is it doesnt compare to a jar cure. jmo

That might be true, but don't worry about bone meal. I put some out in my yard as an experiment a couple years ago. I came back to those piles a few weeks later and they were undisturbed.

I accidentally left the lights of for over 12 hours and this one appears to be flowering but I have it outside now and I want to say the central florida light cycle is not inducing flowering yet but i cant tell cause I screwed up hehe.

might be true? it's a fact unless i was dreaming or hallucinating they dug those bad boys up. as i said if their in your backyard it's not so bad. but
where i grow. all there is are eastern diamondbacks,boars,armadillos,panthers, tortisies? big turtles. and tons of other critters. i would consider bonemeal but i wouldnt chance bloodmeal.

i hope your speaking for yourself cause not everyone feels that way. some people dont support the war thats their choice. i see it like this not supporting this administration,war,Pres or whatever in my book is treasonous and should be dealt with! all this crap you see on tv and paper about people talking smack about G.W.BUSH and this administration and our country? well believe it or not these traitors would be locked up when F.D.R. was in office.
