Gentlemen and Ladies,

Good after morning all. Newbie, please be kind on me. Love playin in the dirt but have never grown. Finally got off all the Oxy and other fabulous pain meds I've been on for the last 15 years due to a very, very bad accident in anticipation that we're going to have MMJ soon and I can medicate the natural way instead of that trailer park trash heroin they've had me on (no offense to anybody in a trailer park - lol - like I should talk).

Looks like I've got a lot to learn, so again, please be gentle.

it can be a rough group round these parts.........
on the other hand, relax, chill, post, dont be a.dick......der some cool moFos round/on this thread....WORD...

Speaking of seeds..... I got up today thinkn about goin back to bed when I heard a knock at the door!! My homeboy just got back in town from glen wood springs Colorado..., he frequents the GREEN JOINT DISPENSARY there..... He brought me back a 4 pack of New York diesel seeds!! HOLLLLLLLLAAAAAA!!!!! I'm about to drop these beans n see what happens...... I once had a nydiesel I received from foe like 8 yrs ago..... It was super dank, but yielded barely anything..., I gave it up....... BIG MISTAKE!! Hope these seeds aren't a joke. I know one thing tho..,, the lsd herbs my boy brought back from the green joint looked like strait heat!!!!

Those are 1 inch starter cubes. I move those to a 3 3/4" net cup with Hydroton and then the net cups go directly into a bed of Hydroton when I move to flower. The Hydroton bed is only 3-4 inches deep in the tray. Only support they will get is the net once they go to the flower room. I will leave them in just the starter cubes until they can't hold any more roots. Never had a seedling get too big to need support prior to flower. I veg under T5 and keep the lights close so get little stretch. I also run MH for the first 2-3 weeks flower to keep things short.

I tend to flip my plants at about 12-18" and then run them through the Screen during stretch.

These will be a learning curve for me as to how they grow as I am unfamiliar with any of the parent strains or how they grow. After several grows with my bag seed I know exactly how it acts but it is a heavy sativa.

CG, as long as you remember to leave the larf on the plant after you harvest ... it will work, old buds turn into new growth. With me, all it takes is 18/6 lights for 7-15 days ( about as long as it takes a clone to root) and a shot of Nitrogen (alfalfa) ... You will literally see new leafs grow from the center of a larf bud ... It's ugly at first and if you have a dense nugget forming plant you will want to trim it up all the larfy mess before it rots, after it re-vegs ... remember, If there aren't any bud sites to grow the new leafy tops from ... it will fail.

I re-veg a lot because I start a lot of seeds... I prefer the re-veg technique over taking a bunch of random cuttings of unknown quality seed plants ... plus I'm super lazy.

I had thought that if you try to re-veg you'd get seeds and stuff. I also hate growing mothers out only to have to wait to make clones then grow those out, so I'm with ya and I'm going to try this on my Goblin Queen F2 Berry Pheno. Thanks!

Morning all.

So, spent most of the night reading, reading and more reading certainly the best advice I've seen so far.

As for my impending grow attempt, here's the basics. I'm an Indica guy and more look for the couch lock and ability to sleep than any cerebral high and soothe the joints and aches and pains. First grow is probably going to be in soil and about as basic as I can get. Will most likely start out from seeds that I'll pickup on a swing thru Colorado or if I can find a bag seed or three I'll try those out. Start will be indoor under Hortilux Dual Arc bulbs then move them outside after they're established to try and save on cost, and heck, I figure mother nature provides the best light source anywhere so I'd rather use her than a bulb. Back to the start, I plan on the following light cycle during veg: 24/0 for the first 2 weeks, then moving them to 20/4, 18/6, 16/8 every 2 weeks until they're ready to flower so 8 weeks total in Veg.

Some initial questions:
With the expected heat coming up (hell, 60 degrees has been cold this year and I'm more than happy with that for these old bones), is there anything extra that I need to plan on doing to the soil based on our heat and high humidity?

Regarding daylight hours ~ is going outdoors after veg in the spring going to get them too much light hours, or by starting at 24/0 and moving down every two weeks insure they'll flip to flower even though the days are getting longer?

Depending on where you are in Florida sticking em outside any time of the year will flower them out. Good luck, keep reading and stay safe!

i am with ghost. i wouldn't worry about light hours indoor just enough to get them going cause when you put them out they will flower. indica needs to be done thru the winter months so they don't mold. if you are in southern half i think it has to do with being close to the equator. the guys i know veg. indoor and put them out end of september early october for a 8 week finish

peace

Got lazy re-stringing my net and plants got way too tall before I got it up. One problem of a bad back and everything DIY. Going to go ahead and flip 12/12 now and see how much the net fills in.

Hey folks, new to the central FL forest area. Just ordered some equipment, and havent had a chance to test water down here yet. I have a fairly new well with little to no neighbors, so I dont think I would get any pesticide runoff like being close to town, or whatever else might be in there. Does anyone use well water down here/what do you fellas do for water? wondering if I should be collecting rain water stat lol....guessing salinity

Holy shit! I figured Florida would have naturally high salinity being surrounded by so much ocean and brackish within. I used to live in the town famous for having the best water in the country, and that was 65 ppm. Someone had mentioned some arsenic down here also to me, but thats likely city related. cool friggin beans man....:tiphat:

my well is 165' deep. when i was growing indoor is the reason i even checked it to see if i had to buy the hard water formula. i went to organic so not so important as long as i don't have chlorine i'm good
