flboy, those look great... been thinking about adding some Ace Malawi to my garden.

ghost9, when I think of the words amateur cam skills a different kind of website and a smile comes to my face. Nice glue bro.

AL, that looks like an old Dyno with that triangle geometry right at the seat post. Bad ass!

Have you guys seen the new GT big BMX's? I think it's GT. They're making 29" BMX bikes for the old guys who can't ride them 21" frames anymore. BMX geometry in a 29er frame. The youtube vids look like fun.

I have a feeling DP is about to invent the mini-split-cab.

So, after I just about exploded my insides again yesterday... I had to drop the GB. It's just too f'n big. I feel one day I'm going to pop a lung and no one will be here and I'm going to die alone. Not to mention that it just f'n hurts. I don't know if I'm addicted to the pain like some kinda masochist and that is why i continue to hurt my poor lungs daily. Oh well, I'm taking a step in right direction.
Good Bye old faithful... the years of one hit bliss have only made my heart blind to your torturous abuse. Like a child from an abusive home, or Stockholm syndrome, I will always remember you..

I cleaned out an old cigar box and bought a big bag of rolling tobacco... I decided that maybe rolling my own cigarettes too would help slow my tobacco intake as well... I'll just do like the Netherlander's do. roll them both together.

I figure I'll try this till my lungs feel better, then I'll buy a bong.

Lol thats retarded.

I went thru a bout of lung pain infliction for about 2-3 but never brave enough for the GB, just the standard issue. I think something mental goes on with the pain that makes you think your not high enough if you dont have to stop what your doing and puke out a lung after a swat.

Ghost, Cheeba and I were talking about building some individual cages not long ago. Let me know if you come up with something good. The problem i had with tomato cages is they were all a little smaller than the "square" of floor space the plant was assigned. IE plant is supposed to take up 2'+ square of space, but the cages are only like 18" wide or something. I found some slightly wider ones on Tractor supply but they had to be special ordered and were seasonal..... i wasnt going to be the tard ordering cages in the middle of winter special order.

No new "advances" that i know of DP. I did this, its a pain.

Just be aware the newer window bangers slang the water for cooling and it comes out the exhaust air. Might be an issue if your not exiting somewhere proper. Dont want to mold out the attic.

GSizzle is getting into the elaborate and probably more proper way. Hugh had some ideas on the exhaust stench. I ended up hooking up a vortex fan to help "push" the exhaust since i was pushing it thru tubing and builtin fan doesnt like the restriction (something like 10" or 12" -> 6"). I put a cfilter at the end of the tubing run. It work ok when i needed it but i tore it down since. Worry about the mold since i cant setup a lung room to handle it right.

i have built my own to suit the size plants...it was a 2 pc design, the lower part that anchored into the medium and a metal scrogg top ~2'x2' that fastened to the lower support.

i wanted to be able to scrogg the plant then at harvest cut below the scrogg and remove the entire scrogg and colas, trim and hang to dry. i would remove the buds from the scrogg after 5-7 days.

you guys are welcome to pm me to throw around ideas more suitable to specific needs.

how were you mounting the frame to the pot? With legs in the dirt of the container?

I was thinking about piece of plywood or something underneath the pot with the pvc support feet screwed in. Then when your ready put the pipes in the feet to connect the top cage section. Little caps used as the feet or something.

Ah yes I believe I mightve chimed in that convo. I was looking into modding cages as well... Thinking of the larger 36" cages and wrapping them with trellis and anchoring trellis over the top...a vertical scrog cage anyone?

@ChasingGreen. I dont think anymore bamboo stakes will help my situation much more. Pre trellis is already stake city. I'm trying to reduce use of stakes. Thanks for Input however.

it was made from a roll of wire mesh 2"x4" rectangle holes.

for the upright legs i cut a row of the wire mesh roll....(4" wide x 28" height)
so basicly a row cut off the side with the bottom 5 or 6 cross wires removed and the top cross wire cut out it looks like a ladder w/ steps missing. w/the lower pieces cut out i could push the legs down into the soil and w/the top piece removed the scrogg top could sit on the upright legs and the 2 pieces of wire that sticks thru the scrogg gets bent over sideways to secure the top.

Scott's OG update - around 3.5-4 weeks now. #1 was the early herm, won't be keeping that one. #1 has the strongest smell though =( even from early veg.

Pics got a little dark when transferring

#3 - looks to be the best in yield so far but not by much
picture.php

#2 - has the most trics...but none of the SOGs are even close to the most tric density I've seen from other strain runs

#1 - non keeper herm

@Coba - I think AL's is a SE quadangle just not sure if its a remake. I knew they were making 24" cruisers since I've been paying attention but wasn't aware they had 29inchers now...damn

Bobby Stainless is using tomato cages in his current thread
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=311310&page=12

I've used tomato cages for a long time, but maybe my outside plants grow into their sizes a little better than they would in a cab or a tent. I have seen smaller cages online but they are not cheap so maybe fabrication is the way to go in a smaller space.

flboy, those look great... been thinking about adding some Ace Malawi to my garden.

Me too, and a bunch of other ACE gear. problem is they won't ship to FLA, only medical states and other seed shops have older beans at higher prices

I have a feeling DP is about to invent the mini-split-cab.

Dude in the last week I have imagined every iteration and shot all my designs down as I come to understand contained grows.

Ultimately I'll probably hang a wall shaker on a box and put a scrubber inside and another scrubber outside the wall shaker and hope for the best. I'm helping sick people here not making bank so it's not like there is ROI in this project, I just don't want to go to jail because somebody has a better nose than mine.....

I figure I'll try this till my lungs feel better, then I'll buy a bong.

Do not pass Go, just buy a bong large enough to do ice tokes and your lungs will thank you for the rest of your life.

LOL not an attic or a space I even care about, just need something dependable that I don't have to look at every day and that just works. I suppose that's dreaming and I will have to do my time tweaking and monitoring this until I figure out something that works....certainly way more complicated than growing outdoors!

If you've never heard of it there is a product call OdoBan that you can get at Wallyworld and Target. it is a concentrate that you can mix to various strengths but at a very economical rate it is will kill viruses, bacteria, mold and mildew. Maybe spray down your ventilation gear and ductwork between grows to keep it clean? I use it twice a year in the air handler of my home A/C and it keeps that system squeaky clean.

GSiz mentioned negative pressure inside the cab to keep the wall shaker from leaking and I'm coming to the conclusion that I may have to build a bigger cabinet to make room for all the shit I'll need inside to make it work. Was really hoping I could use what I have but I believe I'll have to reconstruct and modify as I go.

It's amazing how stinky this strain is and how far the smell can carry.

dawn patrol ace will ship any where you like. i deal direct with ace site. never had a problem and much faster than any other seed bank i have used. i have used them multiple times and all beans with 100% germination, no hermies with fem seeds and very discreet

Two older strains I have been looking forward to growing again and possibly working with are Sensi Star and Malawi. Fortunately I picked up a couple crosses from Bohdi that have them in the lineage, Nibiru and Gold Star F4. Nibiru = Sensi Star x 88G13HP, Gold Star F4 = Malawi x Sensi Star.

Hopefully Cheebs can find a nice keeper/s in the Jack Herrer x Columbian Gold from Gage Green. Going through the stash this weekend and finding all the Sativa and Haze lines I have to help another good friend out.

Hope everyone has had a better week than I have and hope everyone has a good, safe, and stoney weekend. Time for wake and bake before things get started.
