I got a question for u out door growers. How the fuck does your plant live out side in this heat? I grow indoors and it's a struggle keeping my temps at 86-87ish and we all know how hot it's been , and I want to stick some bubblegum out side but it's sooo hot I'm scared it will wilt and die, I see other plants wilting through the day

I always wonder this too, especially since my friend told me about the guy that would rent homes and turn them into grow houses but never used the ac, only fans. I guess it's a couple big things though, plenty of fresh air and air circulation outside to help them with the heat and then genetics that are from tropical or even desert type areas. If you take a strain that's developed into doing better in cooler climates, they'll probably have issues in the warmer temps.

Looking good Windy. One question though, is that a scrog or a support net? Doesn't look like you're weaving, so I assume it's just there for support later? As far as keeping the temps down in the tent, I don't use HID, but temps do rise if done wrong even with CFL. I find that the exhaust fan is the most important thing in keeping the temps down. If you can create that negative pressure, you should be able to get within 1-5 degrees of ambient room temperature, but you'll never go below it (hopefully that's obvious). Make sure all your vents that are open are at the bottom of the tent and the fan at the top to remove the heat.

windycitysmoker I have strains that can take this kind of climate. they are on the tropical side ( sativa ) that is not been thru all the breeding steps that takes them out of there natural environment. you can do your bubble gum out side but you would have to veg. it indoors to get the height and put it out doors in latter part of the year if you live far enough south where you can pretty much grow year around. mold would get that bubble gum I would think ( humidity ) I would put it out around October so it would finish up December. I know guys that do this with there more indica leaning plants with good results. the plants that wilt just need to be placed in the sun for a couple hours a day and ease them in a little at a time to get used to the big halide in the sky. hope it helps

hopefully nobody here was the one caught last night by a lightning strike at their home burning it down revealing a grow. it was in temple terrace near tampa.

16 plants, some 6' tall and allegedly 400lb of pot worth 1 mil. my guess is the entire 16 plants + pot, soil and rootmass may total 400lbs but i doubt 400lbs of dry bud was found.

unfortunate for the growers.

it's not a true scrog,i just put it over them a couple days ago my spoetnik was getting to close to my light . And the bubblious is a good month behind the spoetnik. all my clones have rooted for the next round which I will be using different system , and a true scrog net will be in place. I keep them around 5" above the net and I need to even it out a little bit. Day 5 into flowering about 50 left. I got pics 5 days ago when I flipped u can see explosive growth I will post them

Left side is a pure indica from paradise called Spoetnik , right side is nirvanas bobblilous..they did a good job with there genitcs. All are uniform and a light green.i just had a ph lock out on 1 plant it was hard to notice because the plant grows a light green , but i noticed a different color from the other ones, and fixed it.the speotnik has a lemon smell while in veg its really hard to pin point it. The bubblilcious very very strong skunky smell from the beginning she stunk very bad .im very glad i bought my carbon filter.i can guess she will even get worse through flowering. I will post pics today when the lights come on.

Been awhile brothers and sisters, as usual, I've been hanging lower then squid shit.

KK- Good to see your return from Oceania. Careful of the "O'Brien's" and don't forget, the TV is the last fucking thing you need to worry about around here.

Good to see all the old school FGT guys still killin' it and from the looks of it the new posters aren't doin' so bad them selves.

Ass and Hugh - I'll have some gifts in wool ready in about another week if you guys are still interested. Sorry between life drama and the fucking borg its been a few.....years.

Morcheeba*, funnymath - Don't ya just love that weight for 28 plants with a street value of 3/4 of a million.........what a bunch of bullshit. That is 10+ lbs a plant!
Then again maybe I'm just jelly cause I can't turn those numbers per plant.

Nice to make your acquaintance MK and thanks for making the thread, I had forgotten that one existed and when I found it again it spurred me to finally make an account after all the years of lurking.

mk I agree 10 + per plant indoor not hardly. had to be soil, (wet ) bucket, stalks, resivoir, bags they put them in . what a joke. had to make it sound good so they could pat themselves on the back. windycitysmoker glad it helped. I was re thinking the time I would put your kind out side it would be more like september so they would finish in the beginning of November . just remember they will not veg. that late outside so if your clones stretch than do that or veg. inside and then put them out.

There have been two busted due to cars crashing into them I've seen, once was weird, twice is down right strange.
One was a corner of the house, and right inside was some poor fuckers grow, I mean what a fucking bummer. Talking about bad days.

One caveat on the house busted with the fire. A neighbor said they heard a loud bang before the fire broke out. And the news story mentioned that they where stealing electricity (Bad mojo). I wonder, was it fused properly? Line voltage will do bad shit without proper breakers, 300-500 amps will make a mess of things quick.
It is critical that all the wiring is done correctly for fire prevention and that maintenance is perform regularly. Especially ballast plugs. And not just the one for the outlet but the one for the hood.
Bad connections cause the voltage to drop and the wattage to rise. Wattage = heat...... without proper fusing you are asking for trouble.

Be Safe, and check your system today!
