Nice work.....but you set yourself up for all my questions now ...... I have been looking at the Cree CXA 2520 COBs for a DIY project. Probably going to order a name brand fixture first $$$$$$...then tackle the DIY as I am impatient. California Lightworks, Amare Technologies, and Lumigrow are ones I have notes on already.

I'm definitely not an LED expert, I see guys memorizing bin numbers and shit and your not gonna get that from me. Basically I stalked SupraSPL on a couple boards and then googled the shit out of the questions he didn't answer (guy is awesome but super busy) until I got it figured out. Still made some mistakes and wasted some money but that's how I learn sometimes.

I have no real knowledge of commercial LED units other than they seem unbelievably expensive. Any particular reason you want to go with the 2520's instead of 3070's or 3590's? Just curious.

You are the first to report any purple traits on the TT's. Though you are also, to my knowledge, the first to run them outdoors. I think the lowest they saw when I ran them indoors was maybe mid to high 60's. Its definitely a specific pheno that has the purple trait though, otherwise both females would have purpled. That is pretty awesome to know, and I cant wait to see what the F2's hold from the purple male. I definitely cant wait to get things going again, hopefully in a few weeks I will be back at it and I am going to set up a small hoop house outside and run a few in that. I dont see myself growing indoors here in FL again, planning a move out of state soon.

You really hit a homer with this one GO!! Only negative I can find to growing this strain outdoors is the smell. If the air is moving and you're downwind I can smell them 50 yards away. I can't imagine what a hoop house full of TT would smell like or what it will be like when I get the amendment mix dialed in....

awesome plants everyone.

got a question.....i plan on using a cool tube from my 600w rig and use a 1k in it. its somewhat small for that cool tube and wondering if anyone knows of issues i might face. it will have the air intake at the a/c and a 6" inline fan to blow across the bulb to help w/the heat but it that or a easy cool hood.

i already got 1 suggestion to use the easy cool hood over the tight cool tube but seeing what others suggest.

is there a reason you need the cooltube cheeb? I just cant see any increased cooling compensating for the awful light spread you'll get from the curved glass, those things throw light terribly

Bugman make sure you flush that coco, I use the same kind. Flush it it until the water comes out clear. Its not well flushed out of the bag. I flush again when I plant them because flushing in a tote doesn't seem to get it all.

Vinyl sure does make clean up a lot easier.

i got sevreal cuts of both,so its worth running atleast once again.

DP, Well...gotta admit I didn't do much research on that COB. Just know one of the manufacturers I was considering uses them. But.....now that you mentioned it....it is on my to do list of research. Lots of info online if one has the time. And nice play too , I am stalking [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]SupraSPL and you get off easy for now. He is gonna hate ya for that though.

Smoking on some RKU from Bodhi.....may run it one more time from clone but I dunno.

i went to a friends house ,i took 3 big faties with me , i got stuck over there for over 1/2 day .
I HAD to smoke a bounch of brick weed, atleast they had 3 diffrent kinds,2 wernt to bad.

Finishing up my first run with coir.......and when I run my Glue in Pro-Mix I did nothing but Ph'd water the last 14 days......PERFECT as far as taste and color.

Should I do the same???? I am 15 days out as of today

got some kind of stomach bug this week so nothing got done but im leaning towards the cool tube. a fixture is mounted in the 6" cool tube but the bulb is almost the size of the tube so i may end up using the hood if i get too much heat.

i have a 6" and 4" fan to use along w/a speed controller for a fan so my options are.

1. dedicated fan to cool light in Cool tube, separate fan / filter for circulation.

2. dedicated fan w/easy cool hood and separate fan/filter

3. open old school reflector and use both fans or intake and exhaust w/the speed controller to get the right ammt of neg. pressure.

ive never used a 1k so im not sure what ammt of heat to expect.
