Hey, do any of you have experience using STS? I am thinking when I happen to run across a "keeper" I would like to make S1 seeds rather than taking cuttings.
Not much info to be found really......main question is at what day would one apply? And if wanting to do just one branch would I spray or just try to put it on with a small paintbrush or something?

damn stoner moment...so bought a bag at Wal-Mart this morning in case my 5 lemons I have been waiting all year for do not make it. Not in Florida fellas......but close so I got a freeze last night.

I used STS on a Gorilla Grape that i wanted to make seeds of.
From my limited experience with the stuff I can tell you that you should spray the plant thoroughly starting on day 1 of flower. I was led to believe i needed to wait several weeks. What happened was the plant was done flowering but the seeds were not fully mature...
For one branch i would put a bag around the whole plant except for said branch, spray the branch THOROUGHLY! I mean 'til it's dripping. Spray under the leaves and in every crook where a shoot is poking from. Once it's dry then you can take the bag off.
I believe you'll need multiple applications. Store the STS in the fridge.

I don't think I had any issue with that either......BUT. I've gone to a 600W MH for a week or two before I go into my flower box.
So far it's been working out well. It is worth noting that in flower I'm running 3600w on a mover over a 10x7 grow space, so I think the girl can use a intermediate bump in luminosity before going in. I've noticed less shock and burnt leave. I also made big changes to air circulation in there at the same time I added the MH so I can't say 100% that it stopped the leaf damage.

If so you can get a ballast at HomeDepot.
Here a pair of DIY T5's from HD. They sell a tandem 4' (for a combined 8' )
I cut them in half, mounted some boxes I had and walla a 54 HO T5 light fixture and ballast for less the a $100. I've run them 24/7 for about two years now.
I've run two sets of bulbs through them so far and no issues. I change them out @ once a year. Been ordering most of my bulbs ( and most of my other stuff for that matter) from http://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com/.

Last time I went to recharge my Carbon filter I just ordered a new one from them and skipped the mess. Seemed cheaper the ordering a box of carbon. I order my MB from them in 16lbs buckets for $69 and with my drain to waste system it keeps my nute cost down. I mix @ 200 gallons of nutes a week, at that cost I don't even give it a second thought.(waste my a$$....)

DMT = an isolated phenotype from Sour Bubble Bx1 Ix1 - via Grindhouse Seed Co. The first time I ever saw / heard about a DMT pheno was when Zoolander posted his female back around 2009 or so...and it was truly one of the most impressive Sour Bubble phenos I'd ever seen. How or what Steele did with the line to isolate and breed the DMT expression to a point where there was a breeding male, I'm not sure the exact details - but I know it was nearly 4 years before anything with the DMT name sake ever surfaced for the market...
So really, think of it as a heavily worked, isolated expression from within old Sour Bubble Bx1 Ix1 stock...

I love to fish, surf, dive, boat, spearfish, snorkel, and what not, so florida is a paradise. i wish i never had to live out west. im not a mountain dude...im a tropical ocean kinda person.
