hostile.. yes. it gets annoying to hear an outsider with no credentials bash, discredit, and question everyones products and ethics. You pretend to want to help, but it is quite clear that you really just want cause trouble, and act like your some kind of authority. Your not.
The thread is going nowhere but down hill. For once, DB and I agree on something!

Credentials? I have shown you the NEC code that the horti-control fails to pass. What do my credentials have to do with that?

Prove me wrong.

Otherwise I am damn sure gonna do all I can to let everyone know the shortcomings of your product.

You talked about competetion earlier. How it is good for the customer. Third party critiques are also good for the customer. Hence the UL, ETL ect....

Again, prove me wrong, show me your product passes code and Nationaly recognized testing lab approval.

Until then my critique stands.

"Where supplied by the ungrounded conductors of a circuit, the switching device of lampholders of the switched type shall simultaneously disconnect both conductors of the circuit.”

Avenger makes some very valid points imo.

And how many accounts is the guy from nowirenuts going to make? Seems like he only lasts a few weeks before he gets banned every time. You might get a little more business if you conducted yourself more professionally. Creating fake accounts and talking up your products as if you're a customer is NOT something I would ever support by purchasing products from you. I'm sure others feel the same.

powerbox and DB will confirm I am not. I have posted up what kris has asked me to, as he doesn't play on forums. The rest is all based off being involved with the co. LW, we usually see eye to eye on a lot of stuff. I'm surprised you would believe I'm pullin shenanigans. Don't you have homies who make dope shit and you support them? it was my idea for the flip anyway, but kris always built my load centers and then thought a flip would be fun after all the BS I went through with Zapp, & Equalizer shit so he built me one.

THMF,

Only reason i asked is because you are defending the HELLL out of kris. He owes you lawyer fees. You have been an amazingly loyal friend.

If you cannot tell... I AM the devils advocate of THIS thread... If its going to take debate within this thread to encourage higher quality product, then im going to do what i gotta do.

PEACE,

LW

He is one of my best friends. It's one of my favorite products too. 6 years involvement an's watching the pipe dreams come to fruition is really exciting. Kris taught me a lot about growing. He have partered up together on several occasions. How often you find a partner worth workin with after 1 run? Kris is there for me when I need a hand. Looks like he needs a hand over here. Hell... You think 1/2 the electrical products in shops are UL approved? Their not. No one claims they are. They are as high quality as it gets. I been through em all. Kris designed the horti box for ME way back before horti-control was a biz. Entity. Wayne, you been around.. You ever hear of any troubles w horti control flips?

burnedout, as for you purchasing from me, I could care less. I get enough emails for orders to keep me busy. I couldn't care any less about your opinion or others like you who feel the same. Since most commerical growers are using three-phase, I keep busy bulding panels for them, and best of all, most of them are from California. Guess they don't consider "American made" to be that important.

Toohighmf you said it, at least 1/2 of all ballasts, timers, controllers, and other electrical/electronic equipment sold through hydroponic stores are not UL or CSA approved. That includes some of the brand name equipment.

Maybe I'll get banned again.... WHO FUCKING CARES.

I'd really like to know what's so wrong with wirenuts. They are industry standard and provide a connection with solid wire that will outlast any other. You can't get too much better connection than with a wirenut.

Nothings wrong with wirenuts, but I've twisted ton of them for commercial and residential wiring. For wires, I prefer to use butt-crimps, terminal lugs (ring), or solder then cover in heat-shrink tubing. It is my understanding that wirenuts can only be used for static (stationary) connections, and not dynamic (moving) connections. If a device is mobile, then wirenuts are not good, and may come loose or fall off.

Yea... You may have a point with the stationary wiring altho if they are in an enclosure and proper strain reliefs are used, I seriously doubt they will come off. Especially with solid wire. Stranded.... Yea, I prefer butt splices and spade/ring terminals as well.

I don't feel like getting involved but Avenger does have a point with Art. 410.93....

And what does this say about the industry and manufacturers? Same goes for store owners that will sell uncertified equipment to their customers.

If the companies business plan doesn't include having their products csa/ul/cul/ansi asap they shouldn't be in business. Just because your equipment is mostly sold to weed growers doesn't excuse you from going with the approval process.

I think you should be more concerned with the distributors that sell this stuff to retailers. a safe product is the tested tried and true product. UL listing is not neccesary for a lot of products grow related or not. building them to compliancy insures safety. horti's have a 3 year warranty. a test box has been running for almost 6 years now. no problems. no shocks, no fires, and less than 10 relays gone bad in 100's of units. Horti's run and thats that.

Well at the end of the day it doesn't matter what the company thinks its what the consumer needs. You're not gonna get home insurance if your a Canadian licensed medical grower if you don't use CSA/cUL approved products of course your set up still have to be inspected and approved but you're not gonna get anywhere by listening to a company saying "oh don't worry its safe"

You could care less if you have one less customer? How about 10? 20?

Business must not be as good as you say it is, otherwise you wouldn't have to create fake customer reviews talking your products up.

Hopefully you do get banned again, but I'm sure you'll just create a new account and act like another satisfied nowirenuts customer. What integrity.
