Fireknot farm 2016

compare the cost of ~100 pots (which are sitting outside) to those gizmos I bet its impractical plus what do you do about salt buildup? I dont like it... I like testing runoff ph and ec.

If youre growing organic on a volcano in Maui I could see wicklike systems being useful

Yeah, it might be costly to run them like that but how about like in this picture? I think they are geared more towards super soils, act, em1, kashi and water only. Basically, you can bury that tube level with the ground and set the pots on top.

How would growing organic on a volcanoe in Maui make wicklike systems useful?

I've no experience with them personally. I'm going to try to nail my minerals down closer to their targets with soil tests and ammending organic inputs---some of which could be considered time release but not in the same way you're referring to.

My K is high
so I'm gonna plant rye.
I don't know
if it will grow in the snow

Just got my emerald cup ticket for saturday! Anyone want to link up and sesh hit me up I look forward to it!

I heard no glass was allowed last year. Does this mean you can't bring dab rigs?

Also I read that there are vendors there but are particiants allowed to vend stuff low key too or is it frowned upon?

I'll have some goodies to give away

I'll send you a pm. I'm down to sesh. Hopefully I'm hanging with some fellow icmaggers too.

They check packpacks for obvious glass ect ect. But its not like they dig it through and take things out. If you have a tiny rig wrapped Ina shirt or sweater they won't say anything. Most the booths, at least in the 215 section, have rigs setup and happily share. I'm gonna try and sneak in a glass pipe but thats it. I'm trying to go no backpack this year as it gets old always carrying it around.

I'll have beans to share/swap

You will be thrown out for scab vending. People pay a lot of money to be there vending and it isn't fair to them to come in on a $50 dollar day ticket and walk around like it's Shakedown Street. Sharing is always supported and encouraged

not a lot of cuts last year, more seed oriented, im on the fence, those lines last year on day one where wack...

if i go this year itll be a few hours after they open or else youll be waiting in two hour+ long lines in a row before entering medical area..

would hate to miss out on some awesome aficionado offerings or something special... those are usually gone day one...

edit: looking at the banner on icmag it looks like Dark Heart is letting people pre-order clones for pickup at emerald cup, this is the BEST clone nursery in the bay area, get from them....

why sarcasm up my dream , lol

fuck man i got guy hopefully lining up for a 500 pack . thing is after i make seed and do a grow i,ll only be ahead XXX,XXX amount in the first 12mths . seed for years to come too .

500 bucks is a drop in the bucket , compared to the end result .

best thing i,ve ever found when f2 "" decent strains "", it opens up a whole new world . you won,t get that from a clone .

so where's all the Creme Brulee clones at? LOL...

... some people don't realize how lucky they are, get em while they're hot...

the males are key, i would much prefer to have the males and a pure form of the seed line to create new F1 hybrids and hell just to further these awesome lines themselves.., these strains are usually awesome heirloom varieties that are one-off offerings...

I wouldn't bat an eye at paying 500+ for the right strain... and better believe making f2s and turning that ten pack in 100's of seeds is the bare minimum...

How is an OGKB cross an heirloom variety

its not, i did say the right strain, was thinking more along the lines of LVRK (f9) ($250), In the pines ($150) (f4), ect... stuff thats been worked by local norcal growers with excellent breedings backgrounds releasing unreleased local strains from hills of norcal that wouldn't be available otherwise (black lime, pineapple, lvrk, black garlic, ect..) ...

I wouldn't pay more than $100 for a polyhybrid f1 clones "pollen chuck" (ie OGKB, OG, GSC cross) , but i can see how some people would justify a higher price tag with germination guarantee, good track record, ect..

or maybe i could just make up some fairy tales about epigenetics and how my og x chem cross is the BEST EVER lol... sure it is...
