Fireknot farm 2016

You don't need totes just buck everything down in to turkey bags once dry and contractor bag that. You need to buy those anyway and you can trim back in to them. I've seen people ruin weed by stuffing it in a contractor bag.

Next time throw some of that stuff in a blender and grind it in to a finer powder it'll help solubility

I like it, kinda gives you an idea of how many chickens you have.

Good call, my gf would not be happy if I used the magic bullet, I found another pump I'll run in the barrels tomorrow and also spend some time mashing it with something. Mortar and pestel aint gonna cut it.

Can't you get a blender from the senior center store in your town or a second hand store or something like that or even a 20 dollar Walmart job. Or just buy a fertilizers only cup for the magic bullet and get to it.

Dry the herb, Buck in to turkeys and ditch the stems and fan leaves at this time tie off with the brown chingadera they give you and contractor bag it. Get some wide masking tape for painting to label the trash bags so you don't gotta open every one.

Label every turkey bag though!

I was going to leave the deleafing for the trimmers but think thats a better idea since its so easy when dry. I'll see what I can find next time I'm in town.

I tried it a million ways this is the best way I found.

I weigh every bag get a sum and estimate what % of trim will come off and get a rough estimate of what should be there then add up the B trim and finished units and compare.

I also number every bag as I record the weight before trimming and my cleaners keep track of which bag numbers they trimmed.

Cat, do ACs increase humidity? I have 35% humidity and warm temps so maybe an AC would kill two birds. Don't know why but swamp coolers don't work.

And do you use humidity packs to even them out or does it move quick enough to not bother?

Tess, once it's soaked you can smash with a 4x4 or similar. Really though a pump is your best bet if not making tsp smoothies.

Lower temps increase humidity by default. The trick is bagging it at just the right time so it never dries out completely. A snap in the stem and you're good to go, stems look less green, and when you bag it it stays at that RH and brings it up a bit more from the moisture in the buds. You can see/smell/feel the difference. When its too dry it crumbles/ disintegrates. I've seen guys run the shower hot with open totes to rehydrate.

Good to know thanks we'll see how tomorrow goes.

I like these new bagging techniques. Very organized.

Lower temps only increase humidity when high temps drop. Middle of winter is pretty dry around here.

I like my swamp cooler for the house, but I wouldn't dry herb with it. Coolest it gets my house on a 100 degree day is 82 with a humidity around 35%.

bingo , its not fool proof but bloody close ,

i used trash bag , paint pen weight on side , waste left in the trash bag , finished product in another . weight needs to be bloody close to the total on outside of bag .
one bag per trimmer at a time so does,nt get mixed up . that trimmer is responsible for that bag , and sign of on it .

after a while i ended up just making each trash bag the same weight to make it easy .

Even after mashing that shit it just crashes out. I'll probably just top dress next time. Sticky as hell up there...more cowbells starting to purp

8 hours ain't enough. Like I said, 24 hours in a bucket and I still have to mash a little. That's k2so4 at 90% soluble. I also find using fresh water helps to dissolve it but you decided to go the stock solution route.

Just pour out what you got so far into a barrel to get your 60ppm p and add fresh to the 5 gal for anothr soak.

Also idk if reading an increase of 60 ppm on your meter means it has 60 ppm P. That would be 60 ppm total I think, of which 46% of is p2o5, of which 44% of is P. So I'm not 100% sure but I think you want to see an increase of 297 ppm for 60 ppm P.

I was wondering about that. The only acid I have here is hydrochloric I believe, or whatever advanced nutrients uses for their pH down, could also be sulfuric nowadays. Maybe I'll try it. I think by stirring it before transferring and keeping the pump on it should stay agitated enough to get it on the mounds. I make sure to dump barrels out too so shit just doesnt accumulate.

I'm wondering why general consensus is fertigation when the directions say to top dress? I guess it's just better because of distribution. Perhaps top dressing could be good enough however until a blender is acquired.

Taco time!

I'm a little late to the party but if you're mkp or dical around my neck of the woods it's the hydro stores. Feed stores near gv have dical but not near placerville. Appleseed has dical but some of their staff doesn't know what it is, they tried to give me cal-phos. Mkp i've only see in bloom boosters, costs too much. Copper sulfate at the feedstores make sure to get ultra fine, there's large crystal out there people put it in ponds. Peaceful Valley has most sulfates. I got hella mn & k sulfate is you want some elbows of it.

Food grade p2O5 I found is GH PH down. I think it's 0-22-0. I sprayed some the other day and had good response.

My gals are hungry, just when I think they're all set they are wanting more. That water-only plan feels distant.

Awesome work dude, you are in it to win it. You've been getting the details dialed.

^ Sorry now I feel like you already got that figured out.
Where you gonna get your 10 tons of A/C?

I went to my old farm this summer and instead of using the dryroom w/ racks I built they hung 80# on ropes and coat hangers under the oak trees. Wtf.
