you got a great start here tess , congrats mate .

bolted in for the ride . hopefully a smooth one ;)

Thanks everyone!

The only plants I dont really like the looks of right now are the space monkeys. One of them is showing these spots on the stem. Monday marks 1 week since planting. I dont think this strains going to make the cut I might just swap them out tomorrow. Yeah I fucked up with ammending the 5gals so thats probably why. Anyone know what would cause this? I dont want anything iffy like this on my starts.

The mulch is kicking ass...I didnt really have to do anything today up there. Getting some other shit done.

Garden looks great, tess! That rice straw is awesome...I laid some of it down after I sowed my cover crop seeds. I didn't think the seeds would make it through the straw, but I was wrong. A few weeks after planting and I've got some real nice cover crops that I'm getting ready to chop and drop this weekend.

Sorry to hear about those space monkeys. I got a pack of those too, but haven't run them yet. It's hard to tell from the pic, but those black spots could be scale.

The black dots look like aphid poop.

Your garden looks great, and I really dig that rice mulch. I am going to ask my local feed store about it.

Thanks. I'll check but it looked like stem discoloration not something on the stem like shit. I will try to get a better pic before I cull them.

Im not worried about the deficiency the others grew out of it. Good to know about aphids though.

I'll see what my next 2 healthiest plants are and swap them out mañana. Gg4 and wookie are cool and all but with how good the others are looking right now I think its a no brainer.

The mulch is 6 bux a bale and I used almost 3.

When I went up to replace the SMs which I saw it was a brownish stem discoloration not shit I noticed this plant might look like its flowering early? I cant tell if im trippin or not.

I put the plants out from 14 hours a month or so ago and there isnt much of a difference between the gh and the garden so im not sure if its possible?

if you just planted- you should try and keep the rootball of the plant watered for the first week or so... Maybe even a light nutrient drench just on the rootball. Plants will drink from the old rootball for at least a couple days before expanding into new soil.

you cant really tell if that plant is flowering or not from the picture, to me it just looks really stressed / deficient though.

I had a GG4 x Pakistan Chitral Kush (from seed) go into early flowering then back to veg last year when put outside, only strain that did that.

Maybe GG4 is sensitive to slight light changes?

Ok...thats a sky lotus...but I'll be monitoring like a hawk. The more days that pass the further the deficiency in the misammended 5 gallons become apparent in the greenhouse.

Maybe I'll give them some water today. I was going to wait a week.

I saw some purple tips too but figure they will grow out of it. Ive seen this before and thats usually what happens. That plant looked like it started getting a little bulbous in shape...but it hasnt even been a week since I planted...so I think im just paranoid. Ive walked back up there twice today just to recheck for no reason. Im happy I replaced the SMs with HMs. Hopefully thats the last of the swapping.

Been spraying calcium metasolate weekly.

There was a fucking baby turkey in my gh this morning! Momma bird was so pissed. Then they both disappeared...I dont know. There was a buck sleeping in my cabin yesterday too.

Once they get rooted in, a lot of the problems will take care of themselves. Especially since your soil is balanced. Just give them a few weeks.

All is well this morning, good call on the water outlaw tree, they responded positively. I'm going to give them 50 gallons each tomorrow afternoon. Or try to at least. We'll see how far I get with that. I would start in the morning but my water is just too cold to do so right now. They're getting their weekly manganese foliar tonight too. I see the cover crop starting to grow beneath the mulch.

Tess, why are you spraying elements separately? I can see the benefit of having them separate so you can correct specific deficiencies. I'm just getting MicroPak and combining it with calcium so I'm just wondering what your conclusions are.

Because your combined potassium and sodium is above 10%, manganese uptake will be limited. Suggested to Foliar spray Mn weekly

I also suggest you do a weekly foliar of calcium to help increase the calcium in the plant. The sodium and potassium is easily taken up by the plant and can usually cause issues with the uptake of other cations
